Edit: Also, thrifting and a tailor/sewing machine is a great alternative to the jeans. You can make this $20 cheaper by thrifting a pair of jeans and bringing them to a tailor ($8+) or having your moms taper it (priceless). With that $20, another good piece would probably be a layering piece like a camo jacket.

Are these Old Skool Vans from Amazon real? The heel logo is black instead of red and the bottoms are white instead of rubber-yellow. Compare to this pic and this pic from Vans.com. They look sketchy.
