Yeah, so basically about the cost of a decent dashcam. Don't get me wrong, I am all for DIY stuff, however it seems a little silly to create your own dashcam when you could just spend about the same money and buy one with 1080p/60 or 1440p/30 capabilities, a G-chock sensor, HDR, etc. Example
I am certainly not trying to dissuade anyone from inventing something awesome, however sometimes it comes down to time versus cost. Suppose it took OP about 2-3 hours to design, configure, assemble, install, etc. his custom configuration. You could buy the model I listed above and install it in about 20-30 minutes. Could you then better spend those 2-3 hours working on something even more inventive? Yes, yes, to each their own, I just wanted to mention it.
