one option to block out everything is this static cling film... cut to fit for any application on the window:

Can be torn off and reused multiple times and blocks 100% of light. Zero damage or marking, it's dirt cheap too.

I have some on my bedroom sliding glass door and it blocks 100% of the sun hitting that side of the house (useful since I sleep during the days for night shift job)

I prefer just a black window cling. Easy to trim to size, easy to apply, no hassle if you want to change it up.

This stuff worked really well for me, I'd recommend it.

You could take a window blackout shade and cut to fit.

Search on Amazon and there are a lot of different options that can be cut to fit. You could devise a way to easily take them on and off as needed like little suction cups or Velcro .

Blackout window film like this could be an option too depending on reusability .
