A TN panel won’t look as good colorwise as an IPS, even if you mess with the settings.
Having said that, if you do go wth XB241H, it looks like it’s cheaper on Amazon than on Newegg right now. You’ll be happy with it.
A VA panel may be a good combo of what you went. Check out this Viotek.

Here are two good options that are pretty cost effective. If you prefer an IPS panel, check out this Viewsonic 27".
However, I would also strongly consider this Viotek VA panel. It's a little bit more but has 2 hdmi ports as you requested.
I would go with a 24 inch if you like a better looking screen but they look pretty similar side by side... I would have to ask him about overclocking if he wants to do it. He is looking to game and stream. He sent me the monitor he has I didn't even know myself. No microcenter even in my state closest one is 3 hours away.
