You could drill a hole on the box to install the wheel?! Mine attaches with a bolt, I had to custom make the wheel because the ones I found weren’t big enough. There are also wheels that do not need to be attached to anything, Like the flying saucer exercise wheel. My girl loves running on a wheel! :-)

Looks like the wood-on-wood would be nearly impossible to move, no matter how much you oiled it.
