Left-authoritarian is actually a pretty good idea if you can limit the government to only be able to put forth strictly evidence based policies.

My view of left authoritarian would be making the preferred or only choice the choice that has been shown to promote general welfare: Think "the nanny state", except super smart and data driven.

If I had more faith in the ability of politicians to actually do that, I might be left-authoritarian.
