For most games you want things set up so that the game audio goes to both your speakers (or headphones) and the buttkicker.

The simplest way to do this is by using an audio splitter cable. Plug this into your soundcard, plug your speakers/headphones into one socket on the cable, plug your buttkicker into the other. Job done.

In my case, because I play sim racing games which work best with SimVibe (which uses game telemetry instead of sound to create the vibrations), I use a software solution. I have my buttkicker connected to one sound card (A), and my speakers/headphones to another (B). Game sound gets send to A, and SimVibe output gets sent to B. Whenever I want to play a game without SimVibe support, such as DCS, I use VoiceMeeter Banana as a software version of the splitter cable; game audio goes into VoiceMeeter, which splits the audio and sends it to both sound cards, one driving the speakers, one driving the buttkicker. Despite being a software solution there is no noticeable lag.

Option 1 (hardware splitter):

[game] --> [sound card] --> [splitter] --> [buttkicker]
\
--> [speakers/headphones]

Option 2 (software splitter):

[game] --> [VoiceMeeter] --> [sound card #1] --> [butticker]
\
-> [sound card #2] --> [speakers/headphones]

Option 2 (software splitter) with SimVibe (racing sims only!):

[game] --> [Simvibe] --> [sound card #1] --> [butticker]
\
-> [sound card #2] --> [speakers/headphones]

> I have a chance of laying my hands on a new, old stock, buttkicker gamer - probably the original that some people had amp problems with,

I have a Buttkicker Gamer 2. It's great, but the amp is shit. My amp stopped working after about 10 months. I got a replacement under warranty, but that gave up after a while too. I replaced it with a 3rd-party amp that time, and it's been great since.

Technically if there powered you could use Jack or XLR to 3.5mm Jack and plug direct into the audio out on your computer.

Cable

splitter

But really just buy a 2nd hand audio interface off eBay. Tascam do a really decent one for like $40

Here it is linkage although I would recommend taking breaks every couple of parts, we didn't and we end up making mistakes and sounding more tired the further into the let's play you go :3

You could get a usb hub of sorts as usb mics aren't hard to come by, or possibly something like this although i'm not sure how your computer would recognise them, could be as separate mics which would let you do the multiple recordings or just puts both of the mics into the one signal which wouldn't let you :/ you'll would need to look that up before you try it, although at £0.75 you can't go wrong :3

Hi guys complete rookie here,

Just asking cos I see a lot of reviews saying some splitters only output to one earphone/side of headphone. Would this splitter below work ok? If not how to findones that do work correctly or which one would work correctly.

My earphones keep breaking after 3-12 months. I would like ones that last a bit longer. Are these any good?

Sorry if I haven't done the correct format or anything.

THanks!

I've done this in the past with different equipment and it worked fine.

Instead of working the gender magic with a splitter, use some leads to sort the genders out...

Use one of those normal 3.5mm headphone splittersand plug it into your speakers, giving you two 3.5mm inputs: https://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Speaker-and-headphone-Splitter/dp/B0007OC96W/

Then use two 3.5mm male to male leads to connect from the two 3.5mm sockets on the splitter to the 3.5mm sockets on the Echo and Projector: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AKORD-Gold-Plated-Stereo-Cable/dp/B001D8I668/

To be completely honest I have no idea, but what might work is connecting your sonos to your projector and using the 'audio out' for your surround sound, and then you can have music in both the living room and kitchen. However I'm not sure if you can have two audio outputs at once with this projector. I was also thinking about allowing your sonos to connect to chromecast, but considering they're rival companies I don't think that would work.

After searching google for a while, I noticed that it may be possible to use a headphone splitter to connect your main sonos and your speakers in your living room, but this is another set of wires that defeats the purpose of having a wireless system. So to conclude, a sonos system may be the best option for you after all if playing music across both rooms is of high importance - unless you dont mind the wire or can find a way to hide it.
