This is probably the easiest way to accomplish what you want to do.
Your TV probably has some sort of audio output option, like RCA or headphone (mini jack). You could hookup a $30 bluetooth transmitter to that output, then use some $30 bluetooth earbuds and pair to the transmitter. A benefit of doing this at the TV audio output level is that it will work for anything that your TV plays, not just the FireTV.

Your friend has misled you, probably unintentionally. It's highly unlikely that a TV would be able to use a USB Bluetooth adapter, unless the TV lists support for a specific adapter in it's manual. I have never seen such a thing in a TV. The same thing goes for the Blu-Ray player.
What you need is a little box that takes in an audio signal, and outputs a Bluetooth signal. The search term should be something like "Bluetooth audio transmitter". This one seems to get good reviews.

I'm not sure how you would get the iPhone to act as a receiver/ portable speaker. I did a quick google search and only saw ways of doing it through jailbreaking and using iTunes airplay. But here is another easy way of doing it.

I love the modular helmet. It has a drop down visor which is great. The speakers work quite well. It will do music by default then when a call comes in, it switches to that. The microphone doesn't work to well above 40 mph due to wind, but whatever. Also it does helmet to helmet communication.

Personally, I think it'd be a lot easier to just get the helmet mount for the flysight and tuck the headphone wires into your helmet, but either way works I guess.
You could purchase an inexpensive bluetooth transmitter [Amazon link] to send the signal to your Sonos system? The one I linked is $29 and comes with an RCA cable you can plug into your preamp/amp/receiver/etc. I'm not sure this is the best solution, though. But it may be the cheapest one since the Sonos system doesn't have an audio input beyond bluetooth capability.Sorry, OP. Just realized your Sonos doesn't have bluetooth capability either. I'm thinking this may be the way to go. Another option I've found is using a no-name chinese gps off aliexpress (around $50). I'm not sure if the bluetooth on them allows you to pair with a headset but if not, they do have a 3.5mm jack so I could add a transmitter.
Probably not the cleanest solution, but it will let you add it to the devices currently connected to your BT receiver.

Well, I suppose if it was close enough you could try bluetooth, you can buy a bluetooth audio sender and a reciever and do it that way. Otherwise, I would try some kind of wifi audio transmitter like this one. Your biggest problem is range, as you obviously know. Good luck!
