I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure there's no issue with taking long, fat rests between reps, and I'm pretty sure wrist wraps are totally fine, too. You have heard of those right? Seems perfect for you... Don't wanna be fucking up your hands since they're so important.


Where is the pain? I'm thinking it may be from a repetitive stress injury (RSI) suffered from doing something like writing a lot or computer gaming. If the pain is in your wrist bordering your forearm you need to do forearm stretches then get one of these to sleep in so that you don't close your wrist intp a 'c' shape during your sleep.

So its most likely a flexor tendonitis. Usually what I do for people is to put them in a wrist support brace like here. What this does is rest the flexors. Generally around 2 weeks in this at all times except showering and maybe at night. Problem is you are likely re aggravating it without realizing. Complete rest for a couple of weeks should help it out in addition to the steroids your doctor gave you.
