WuyouChy CO2 Generator System Carbon Dioxide Reactor Kit with Diffuser for Plants Aquarium Greenhouse Grow Tent Grow House (Without Solenoid)
Professional CO2 generator system with stainless steel bottle, far better than simple plastic bottle generators: more reliable, steady, durable, efficient. The bottle body adopts SUS304 stainless steel, and the Safety Valve will open automatically when it is over the safe pressure. All accessories you need are included: Steel Bottle, Tertiary Filter, Pressure Reducing Valve, Pressure Gauge, Safety Valve, Fine Adjusting Valve, Bubble Device, Check Valve, Switch, Diffuser and Tube. Also you can buy extra accessories and replacement parts (Solenoid Valve, Stand Base, Main Valve, Diffuser) by searching WuyouChy.To avoid regulator threads sticked to tank threads, clean their threads before refilling and use a funnel.Note: 1, This set is switched manually; If you need to switch it automatically with a timer, please buy our another set with solenoid valve. 2,Large amount of CO2 may cause fish dead. It is recommended to reduce the CO2 volume at the beginning, 1 or 2 bubbles per second. One time's reaction can last for 3 to 4 weeks using.

My fiancée had similar fears about my 20lb co2 tank so I got rid of it and ended up getting something a little different. It's basically using DIY materials except with something more sturdy and safer. If you use the measurements they instruct you to use, the psi never goes above 22psi.

For me, the first batch lasted about 4 weeks on 200g of citric acid, 200g of baking soda, and I believe 300ml of water which are the amounts the products instructs you to add.

There are two versions available. One with a solenoid valve and one without. I have the solenoid version which appears to be sold out all the time but I'll include a link anyways. The non-solenoid version is usually available on Amazon but I'd probably recommend you get the solenoid version somewhere else online because without a solenoid, you would have to turn it on and off manually.

I should also add the the regulator included has a safety valve that would release all pressure if for some reason it was too high.

These are both safe and reliable as far as the regulator goes. I'm sure other online stores sell them but I've only seen them on Amazon. I hope this helps.

I've been using this setup in my 29 for a couple of months now and it's worked out great. I got a solenoid for it after a while so I could hook it up to the timer that my light is on. It uses the mixture from DIY co2 (citric acid, baking soda, water) but it's a lot better looking and easier in my opinion than the two liter bottle set ups. I get about three weeks per batch on two bubbles a second. The price fluctuates between 75-99. It's worked extremely well for me.
