✔Optimal Sunlight Full Spectrum.More Effective:Upgraded full-spectrum LEDs contain the most necessary lights that plants need for optimum growth by simulating the solar spectrum. All leds are full spectrum, that means your plants will received a more uniform light than those single red and blue spectrum. Emits the light wavelength can be fully absorbed, which is a great solution for indoor growing.✔Temperature Controller System inside, More Safe: ①Compare to other grow lights on the market, we added The Newest Temperature Controller inside, the light will automatically turn off while the temperature higher than 95 degree.Avoid damaging the lamp when the fan is not working.②High speed quiet cooling fan plus spiral radiator& heat sinks to keep a excellent heat dissipation even running at 18 hours/day.✔60 Degree Reflect Cup, High Light Efficiency:We adopt more concentrated 60 degree reflect cup to help to control the lights in specific area, save power by up to 32%. No light waste,100% fully light absorption and emit the light more evenly than generic bulb, ensure higher light intensity and efficiency. While others 90/120 degree generic bulb or cup which is dispersed causing light waste and lower light intensity. That means your plants will get more lights energy under our plant light.✔Higher PAR Value and Energy Saving:Equal to traditional 1000watt HPS/MH while consuming only 150w. It is recommended to cover an effective illumination area of 3’x3’ to 4’x4’ and be hung at around 15.8" - 47.2", according to different growing stage of your plants. higher PAR value(612umol at 18”) and Lumen output than other 600w Scientifically engineered to keep the balance of the PAR/Lumen Output and Coverage.Increase the yield effectively by 20%-50%.✔Reliable and Professional Service:2 years and plus 30 days money back. I’ve been using this one. I use it in my bedroom so the main selling point for me was that it was a nice white light instead of those purples and pinks.

Hi OP. My bro and I started off with one of these, and now have 3 of them and are suggesting our buddy get one for his first light.

edit: one more edit - if you have all the knowledge from your space bucket grow, and are handy with electronics then by all means go for the Alibaba QB, and report back for the rest of us newer growers on your experience! :)

Probably also on the US site. They claim it has 600 w output. Here are my observations:

  • Draws 150 watts from the wall
  • Very bright, pretty good "dont look at it" vibe from the eyes, and it is close to natural sunlight in color
  • Burns seedlings if they are too close (within 30 cm or closer) so definitely powerful enough
  • Veg plants will "pray" which is a sign of light stress if they are too close, again within 30 cm or so
  • It is plug and play, has a small built in fan for cooling which runs very quietly
  • Have been flowering 3 plants under it for 5 weeks and they seem to be on track with other posts here in the same time frame. Will see about some pics tonight when the lights come on.

Overall I can recommend it as a new grower. I have two 2x4 tents that are 5 feet tall due to a low basement, and a separate veg area for a perpetual grow. If I had gone the Quantum Board route I would be in it for 3 Quantum boards to have the same setup which seems like a huge initial outlay for a new grower.

My thoughts on Quantum Boards from browsing this sub for 7 months pretty intently:

  • They definitely seem to be at the top in terms of output and potential adjust-ability what with the drivers and all that
  • Potential to build exactly what you need to top out at watts per square foot for your exact space
  • Plants grown under them, all else being equal, never look small for their age

A potential issue as a new grower specifically :

They have by far the most thought needed to be put in to get started, you will need to spend time reading about them to do it right. There are often posts here from people saying "I got my QBs now how do I put it together?" These growers surely get set up eventually and going, but as a new grower that is a lot of extra mental work at the outset.

Even just making sure you get the right products is a bit of a project. Keep in mind if you order from one of the Chinese sellers you are in for a little wait. HLG ships from the US I guess? But costs more.

Not to say "dont do QBs" but make sure you have the time to get the research right on the actual growing in addition to getting your lights correct. The amount of young sick plants posted that are dying under great QB lights because the grower doesnt know about aeration or even not to over water their plant.. or started nutes as soon as it popped out of the ground.

I know I will likely want to upgrade my lights eventually from these modular LED kits, but for now they are cheap and easy to get started with and my plants like them just fine.

Bonus, if I do want to go to a QB down the road, I can use my former flower LEDs in the veg area, so they continue to be worth the investment.

(edit to add US link and clean up formatting, happy growing)

It gets a lot of light- it's positioned almost directly under my powerful white LED light (this isn't the exact model of light I have, but it's pretty much the same)

When the E. raindrops is outside during the summer, it needs to be in full sunlight for most of the day, or the bumps will not form or get bigger. You can see in the picture that some of the leaves near the center don't have bumps or have very small bumps- this is because the plant has only just been exposed to the higher power LED light after a long period of having suboptimal lighting.

So something like this light, that uses white LEDs would likely be better for my use case?

The soil is FoxFarm Ocean Forest.
I've been feeding them general organics lineup for every week. Once a week.
One light is advertised at "600w" but surely it's not able to live up to that for only $90 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078XHHVKZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TF1zCbVM5FMQZ
I'm using that one for the Ak-49 auto and Peppermint Kush.
The viparspectra is being used for the Blue DREAM'MATIC and the Super Lemon Haze https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076JBY3J8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kJ1zCb1C0NW20
I have the light for the Blue DREAM'MATIC & SLH about 6-8 inches away and it's not burning the plants. The other one is bright so it sits about 10-12 inches away. Once they start flowering, I'll move them up more.

That light you posted has a ton of red in it and isn't ideal for veg you need something with 3,500-4,000K full spectrum diodes.

This would be a lot better.
