These gloves are amazing if you can afford them. The big thick store-provided gloves suck for gripping anything, and thin meat/dairy gloves suck for the real cold.

If you run the process, it shouldn't be too hard, and obviously you already know CAP. If you haven't had exposure to Shelf Availability, make sure you're scanning it every day after reverse picks are worked. Basically you want to work the list from the top down (highest to lowest on-hand). I find that usually the higher stuff will have arrived the previous night and either couldn't quite go out when the overnighters went to stock it or they simply missed it/didn't work it.

Regardless, as long as you scanned your bins, that stuff will be picked by SA. After that, stuff that hasn't sold in a few days can usually be safely zeroed out, but you'll still want to research them. Big categories for stuff that often gets misstocked or plugged in the wrong spot are Single Serve Meals, Poultry Doors, Vegetables, and sometimes Ice Cream.

Generally the NRPL stuff on the report is going to be vendor stuff - usually I don't worry about it unless that vendor has stocked their stuff once or twice and it's still an out, then I'll bring it up with them to see if they can get it in. If they can't for some reason, I'll basically treat it as deleted/not traited and pull the tag.

Speaking of vendors, don't let them walk all over you. The main ones that actually do merchandising/stocking are Nestle (Digiorno, ice cream) and Schwans (Red Baron, Pagoda). If they were allowed to, they'd use your freezer as a warehouse and fill it up with pizza, but don't let them order pallets upon pallets of features. Our rep convinced the previous DM that we'd sell a shit ton of pizzas for NFL Conference Championship weekend, and now I'm sitting on three pallets worth of pizzas that haven't sold.

These two seem to have plenty of good reviews:

Hanz Waterproof Gloves (not 100% sure these are vegan)

Youngstown Glove Waterproof Winter Plus Performance Glove (Nylon 45% / Polyurethane 20% / Polyester 15% / PVC 10% / Neoprene 7%/ Cotton 2%/ Velcro 1%)

These, $10 from amazon (reg 35)

I've been using them for about a month with no pucks, and they have been fantastic.
