zero water filters might work:

https://www.amazon.com/ZeroWater-Dispenser-Water-Quality-Meter/dp/B003QXM3U8

(note that the filters get air bubbles in them and get slow and need 'burping' -- https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/Tx1JEE0J56XTPX)

i've found i don't often need to change filters, but i don't live in flint... filters seem to last all year for me...

Zero water is the heavy lifter of water filters, but it's pricey and if you water sucks that bad you'll be going through filters in twice the time. But they will absolutely get the job done and make it taste as good as any bottled brands.

I use this on my disgusting Ohio 'I can't believe it's not well water'

If you are like me, a late night visit to Amazon Prime ordering this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003QXM3U8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to be delivered tomorrow. The house I live in was on the "lead list" and was built in 1917. I guess there is a nice symmetry in using Amazon.com/smile and having selected "Charity:Water" (Mission: charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations) as my charity of choice? Egh.

Me, but I use a zerowater filter that I keep in the fridge. It's the best deal I could find as far as how much water each filter could filter. It holds enough water to last me about a week.

I bought a ZeroWater filtration system to filter my tap water. It eliminated the taste of the tap. It also comes with an electronnic sensor to tell you when the filter is used up.

It saves me money over buying water bottles, and there's no plastic waste.

Yes, buy a Zero Water filter it's the only filter of it's kind that I know of that works almost as well as an RO filter.

Buy this:

and a glass water bottle and never look back!

The filter works really well but has a short life and replacements are expensive

ZeroWater, 23 Cup Pitcher with Free Water Quality Meter, BPA-Free, NSF Certified to Reduce Lead and Other Heavy Metals https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003QXM3U8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wKJSCbV56HVNG

Better than Brita, look up the test.

I use a zero filter. Mostly because the minerals in the water f*ck up my humidifier, but might be useful for you as well. Easier than carrying gallons home from the supermarket and cheaper than a RO filter.

Buy a Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller then run it through a ZeroWater 23 Cup Dispenser with Free Water Quality Meter this removes all heavy metals, biological waste, poison, neurotoxins, dead animal's, fecal matter, urine, chemical runoff, medications, Mold, Bacteria, Fluoride, Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Mercury, PCBs, Perchlorate, Dioxins, DDT, HCB, Dacthal, MtBE

This is the best way to have pure drinking water.

It only takes 5 hours 45 minutes for 1 gallon of water at 500 watts.

You only need vinegar to clean the leftover waste in the distiller just leave the vinegar in it for 15-24 hours and clean the distiller once a month.

And the zero water filter will last a very long time because of pure the water that comes out is, very few PPM come through the distiller and the zero water filter removes these few PPM

It's that simple your kidneys and whole body will thank you.

For anyone wondering the pitcher is a Zero Water 23 Cup Pitcher. I prefer it over Brita because this filter removes all total dissolved solids while Brita only removes 25% or so.

I never said to repeal it. Repealing it would be bad. I don't support Trump or Obama. Also, I don't believe those filters completely filter out the lead. At best it's 99.x%, but that's from a really nice filter. What kind of filters did they get? Also, they are still showering in the water. What do you have to say about that? Did they also give everyone shower filters?

I found the first filter crappy that they offer: https://www.amazon.com/Brita-Basic-Faucet-Filter-System/dp/B000EOOQPW/?ie=UTF8&qid=1498673099&sr=8-3&keywords=brita+saff-100

This one is much better that they offer: https://www.amazon.com/PUR-3-Stage-Advanced-7-7-Inch-3-2-Inch/dp/B0009CEKY6/?ie=UTF8&qid=1498673366&sr=8-1&keywords=pur+faucet+mount+fm-3700b

And they offer this too, which I think would be needed: https://www.amazon.com/ZeroWater-Cup-Dispenser-Meter-ZD-018/dp/B003QXM3U8/?ie=UTF8&qid=1498673456&sr=8-1&keywords=ZeroWater+23-Cup+Dispenser+ZD-018

I really need either this filter or [this one](
http://www.amazon.com/ZeroWater-ZD-018-23-Cup-Dispenser-Filtration/dp/B003QXM3U8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2YYSN0VG6QXIA&coliid=I1DCZNY0TJLGAE). Our water managed to eat through the fixture for our sink-mounted one and now it leaks badly and keeps falling off. I took a sip of something poison, but I'll hold on tight. The water filter would help , though.
