I've got one of those Zojirushi thermoses, so I just brew extra in the morning and bring it with me. They really are as good as they are touted to be, so I've got piping hot coffee for up to 7 or 8 hours into my day.

I promise you, hours later, it will still literally burn your mouth. They will also keep drinks freezing cold and they never "sweat".
They're amazing.
Zojirushi is by far the best most secure thermos you can buy. It's got a lock so it will never open in your back if you lock it, and it will keep your coffee hot forever. Plus, it's much lighter than the continuo autoseal.

I honestly don't remember the brand. I would just look for it at either your grocery store or possibly a camping supply store. It was certainly not gourmet coffee. Standard mass produced name brand coffee.
It's a little more work however you could also get a travel thermos depending on how much you drink. I have one of these and it will reliably keep coffee hot for 8-12 hours (at 4 hours it's still too hot to drink) and have even forgotten it and found it was still drinkably warm 24h later.
Been planning on buying one of these after seeing good review on this sub. Don't have any personal experience though.

I use a Kleen Kanteen branded with my favorite local spot but the cafe cap really reduces its heat retention. People seem to swear by the Zojurushi ones.

Instead of a bottle of water get this thermos. It's the best thermos I've ever used. It keeps cold for up to 6 hours, and keeps things warm even longer.
My wife and I have this thermos, and it's absolutely amazing for all of the reasons mentioned in previous comments.
We both have the SM-KA48BA model, but my black one is matte finish, while her dark blue is glossy. I like the glossy finish better, but I have no idea which colors come in which finishes.
Does anyone here know where to find that info? Amazon doesn't seem to provide it AFAIK.
