Zojirushi.

I find that two smaller high quality thermoses work better than one large one. When a large one is half full, it seems to lose heat more quickly. I’ve found the Zojirushi insulated bottles to be amazing, and I prefer the 12 oz size, though the larger ones are great as well.

I've used a thermos before. The only problem is that too hot coffee stays too hot for too long. Once it reaches the right temperature, it'll hold for long enough, but a burnt tongue squanders all that.

Honestly, it'll taste fine. I wouldn't worry too much about degradation. Most coffee shops have pre-made coffee sitting in urns for hours (the name of the one we use where I work is escaping me). Coffee'll stay hot for quite some time, and any impact on taste is minimal.

I have the Zojirushi SM-KHE48BA. It might be a good idea to pair it with a little mug. The spout area on mine is pretty dirty, and none of my attempts at cleaning it have worked out.

To answer your questions again: yes, I've tried it; no, the taste doesn't degrade; I use the Zojirushi SM-KHE48BA.

It's almost too well insulated and the cap is very easy to clean. If I didn't already have one I'd get the 20oz model.

Not sure exactly if this is what you're looking for, but this 16 oz. zojirushi mug is amazing and elegant. Literally keeps my coffee hot for 24 hours. I've never come across a better thermos.

Not OP but I had a similar problem this holiday as well. I bought my mother the highly rated (found it on Reddit's Buy it For Life Subreddit) Zojirushi mug and now they have to wait for the liquid to cool before pouring it into the mug or else it stays too hot

It comes in a bunch of different sizes and colors.

Why: it has the best heat retention of the vacuum insulated mugs/flasks I’ve used. If you put hot coffee or water in it, it will still be hot after 7-8 hours. Now I don’t take that long to drink coffee. If I’m going fishing, it’s nice to put in in my travel mug, get out onto the water and it’s still too hot to drink. By then 3-4 hours might have elapsed.

The top is easy to drink out of and doesn’t burn your mouth like some other ones that don’t have a lid to drink through.

been using this Zojirushi mug for over 12 months now and other than one tiny dent it looks perfect. The logo is really well painted on and doesn't have a scratch on it, so hopefully the supreme logo will be the same!

It keeps coffee hot for so long that some even leave negative reviews saying it didn't cool down till their preference.

It won't fit the funnel or the press but still worth it.

If I'm doing a pour over or aeropress (anything where I'm using water right off the boil), my coffee will be too hot to drink for easily 12 hours. My regular drip coffee maker doesn't brew as hot; the Zojirushi keeps it hot but drinkable for 8-10 hours.

My cousin is an avid coffee drinker and swears by this one to the point where he often gives them as gifts.

I have always loved my Zojirushi Stainless Steel Mug. Its easy to clean, has a locking lid so I can throw it in my bag for my morning commute, and the cap is spring loaded so I can open it with one hand.

My only complaint is that it keeps my coffee hot for too long. If you want to drink it right after you pour it in you better take off the cap and let it sit out for a few mins first.

Using a ThermoPen MK4, accurate to .4 degrees Fahrenheit, I temped it full of hot water at 190 degrees after 36 hours. I would totally recommend it in a heartbeat. While I don’t use it for backpacking, since I only drink cold beverages on the trail, it’s light enough to work well for camping/backpacking.

I think this is the one that I have. I'm an not 100% sure though. I bought mine a few years ago.

This is the travel mug that I have, and I'm absolutely in love with it. You do have to press to open it, but can leave the lid opened as long as you want. I've had it for nearly a year, and it seriously has never leaked... which is an important feature if you like to throw your travel mug in a bag. Plus, it keeps coffee hot for a really long time; if I don't finish all of my coffee in the morning, what's left is still warm when I get home in the evening.

Hi, I have a very compact 16 oz mug (they make a 12 oz model) that is insulated and extremely spill proof. It does have a stainless steel interior and personally I have never noticed any bitterness. Their stainless steel is a special type called "slick steel" don't know if that is enough to make it not bitter but here is a link to the 12 oz mug.

I use a vacuum insulated thermos. I have one that I use for storing meats and stuff as well as drinks. I can leave it in a hot car and still come out to an ice cold drink at the end of the day.

That is THE best thermos you can buy. Nobody that ever bought it regretted spending the $ on it. It'll keep your coffee hot (I mean hot, not warm) for at least 8-12 hours easily. Just don't burn yourself. It'll also keep any ice water ice cold for about 24+ hours. Won't fit an aeropress though...

To solve the aeropress issue, you can push into that and pour into the thermos.

My Zojirushi seals up nicely and will still burn my tongue after lunch. The locking lid is great.

I got that water bottle from here. It's amazing. Water stays cold or hot for days. Literally. It's one of those vacuum insulated bottles. I love it!

Zojirushi mugs are a little more slender than most so they should fit in any cupholder. Definitely don't leak and will keep things hot/cold for a crazy long time.

Brace yourself, I've got a few winter items for you.

What size? I have a Zojirushi thermos that keeps my coffee hot for a long time. My coffee doesn't last more than 4 hours, but it stayed pretty close to original temps for those 4 hours. It holds about 16oz. For larger sizes though, you might want to consider a Thermos brand as the Zoji's get pretty expensive.

I paid under $25 at the time. You could track the prices and wait till it drops again. Again, this is if your batches are 16oz or less. They also have a cheaper 12oz version too if that suits you better.

Wifi password on the table; even better, configure their devices when they walk in the door.

Buy a couple of these mugs and fill with cold water and leave them for them. They're great gifts and the water or liquid stays cold forever.

I use one of these. It has a lock on it, plus it's just one button to open it all the way. Completely leak proof and fits into a bottle cage easily. It's a bit slimmer than the cage, so it does rattle a tiny bit, but at least the paint doesn't scrape off.

Also have a Zojirushi Insulated mug for water that I have had for half a year, seems like excellent quality too. If I had to redo the zojirushi, I would definitely get a bigger one than a 16oz.

It might. I have a lovely Zojiruishi mug that I bring to work every day, but its good for about 16 oz. Sometimes I need more later in the day. Considering this mug was $30, I really can't bring myself to spend a lot more. :(

I use a Zojirushi mug that i got for $20 off of Amazon. It's leak proof so you can toss it in your bag & it keeps it piping hot all day.

Or you could get a really good coffee mug, like this one, brew your own cup at home for +/- 25 cents per cup and avoid contributing to pollution (car emissions + plastic & paper for the cup + receipt) as well as wasting 10 minutes in line or at the drive-thru. If brewing a pot is too much, get one of these.
