Edit: Also, that price has to be bogus, there is no way anyone pays that.

I've had really great experiences with Amazon Warehouse Used- Like New products, also I believe they have a 1-month no questions asked return/warranty program.

I included this one even though it's not EVGA or Asus because it's new and very competitively priced when taking into account the recent rise in GPU prices. IMO taking a few hours to paint over the yellow plastic to save $100-200 is a worthy investment. Hope this helps

I doubt the Ti would ever be $1000 - I think Nvidia will just drop the MSRP on the 1080 to $550 and make the Ti MSRP $650, FE $750. There are already factory overclocked 1080 models selling for $580.
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-ZT-P10800C-10P-Wraparound-Ultra-wide-PowerBoost/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1484073931&sr=1-5&keywords=GTX+1080
But I do agree, 1080Ti definitely coming out and the price will somewhat be related to what Vega is capable of.
I would use PCPartPicker as a great reference point, but make sure to also check /r/buildapcsales (in the sidebar on the right) for even more savings and sometimes even better parts.
If you live in an area that has a Frys/MicroCenter store, you may be even able to get more savings. Also, your list shows you'd be getting free ram 2x8GB (16GB) with your Mobo purchase. Not sure why you added 4x4GB (16GB 4 sticks!)on top of that.
EDIT 1:
Also, check this out:

That's $120.00 less for your GPU and still a GTX 1080. I didn't make direct comparisons, but hell, I'm sure it's similar. Look at the specs when you get a chance.
EDIT 2:
Looking over your sheet, I'm confused, are you intentionally choosing expensive items? That HDD is ridiculously expensive. Here's an SSHD 2TB for 99.99

Hello, I'm planning on upgrading to a GTX 1080, I have one in mind already, if there's a better one please let me know. My main question however, is regarding the power supply for it. My current PSU is 460w. I'm seeing 500w recommended for the 1080 across the board. Will the 40w difference cause big enough issues that I should upgrade? Or should my current one be able to run the card fine?

$518 Zotac 1080.
I bought a couple off amazon warehouse, those prices can be pretty good. You look in your area on Craigslist?
$527 on amazon for the red/black msi
I'm not a fan of zotac but there are these ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition, ZT-P10800C-10P, 8GB GDDR5X IceStorm Cooling, Metal Wraparound Carbon ExoArmor exterior, Ultra-wide 100mm Fans Gaming Graphics Card https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_65buzbGPBXD0Y
One could argue that your GPU is a little overboard for the monitor, as a 1070 should do pretty good at 1080p, even at 144hz, but if a 1080 is in the budget, then that's what you should get. I would however, avoid the "Founders edition" card in favor of a partner board with better cooling. That price is also not great. Check out this one, or this one and save yourself a little money and get a better card in the process.

i think they fucked up tbh
i was reading this review on amazon(http://amzn.to/2hqCBbH) and someone tried to sli two zotac amp extremes but got high temps like 80 at 60% load with the zotac 1080 amp extreme (the one im getting is a 1080 amp edition which is smaller. SO she got a a pci-e extender and that fixed it. also her cards barely fit, im not sure how im going to do it with my mobo, btw she had a x99 sabertooth.
How does this compare to ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition, ZT-P10800C-10P? Got that one for $569.99 last week so I can still return if I wanted to.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B01GCAVRSU/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=all yep 😕 got 6 of these though 😂😂😂 maybe I can get lucky with a product refund or something
Is there any reason I shouldn't buy a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition?
Upgrading from GTX 780.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GCAVRSU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
How about the ZOTAC GTX 1080 Amp edition? Someone here said it supposedly releases on the 17th. I placed a preorder after being sick and tired of the 30-second newegg sales that always resulted for a 404 error or "removed from cart". I'm hoping this ships out soon. Clock speeds are only around 38MHz lower than the 1080 FTW, but this has RGB LEDs and dual 8-pins, meaning custom PCB.
Just bought a 4K TV, GTX 970 can't handle all games in 4K. Decided to return it for refund (is the deal still on the table?) and upgrade to a GTX 1080.
Anyway, when is the perfect time to return so that I can have money by Cyber Monday or Black Friday? Also, do I have to adjust my PC to a certain setting to use the integrated Intel graphic card?
Also, what is the difference between the gajillion types of GTX 1080s? eg this¹, this², and this³.
Finally, is Zotac good? Or is it better to spend a bit more for the more popular brands? Good?. What about this?
Edit: Here's my build. Is there any particular GPU you can recommend based on it? Any notes on the upgrade?

and GTX 1080 is no less than $600 USD, not $520.
Asrock is fine, I've been on Asrock motherboard since 2012.
I'd get the Zotac AMP! https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-ZT-P10800C-10P-Wraparound-Ultra-wide-PowerBoost/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481389853&sr=1-7&keywords=gtx+1080
At a glance, the cheapest 1080 I found right now was $570. Could probably fit it in a $1000 build if you cheaped out on some other stuff.
So you don't have €602.99 for a Geforce GTX 1080?

Can you order one from denmark? I searched for amazon denmark (which i am not sure if it exists or if this is the right site. I think it is Germany not sure. I use this card and I particularly like it.

Cant really find much more as GPU prices are still going higher, than usual "thanks" to mining, should be back to normal in a few weeks, maybe few days in some stores.
Thanks! Quick question about the 1060 v 1080 -- I'm looking for a bit of longevity with my gpu and would like to be able to still play games like Witcher 3 at high settings 3-5 years from. Would the 1060 still be able to do that or will both cards be able to do that? I saw a deal on amazon for a [1080] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER) that's not too bad and would be fine with the additional $200 if it's worth it.
this one. It's the cheapest non-reference cooler, and they're all good companies basically. Though EVGA is the best. Enjoy your frames
Try to avoid the blower style coolers, they aren't really optimal in most cases. Look for the internal exhaust ones.
Since those cards are all pretty similar, I'd go for the cheapest with an internal exhaust cooler, which is this zotac one
Its not an evga but this is also a good card:

Hey everyone! Putting together a build at the moment. I think I'm going to splurge and get a 1080, but there are so many and I have no idea which one to get. I found a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition for $530, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 for $530, and a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 for $550. Can anyone reccomend one of these cards?
Also I'm planning on paring it with a R5 1600, is this card overkill for the processor? I have a 144hz 1440p monitor.
Thank You!
Just an update for all those that helped me out.
Couldn't get a used version of the card, as hoped.
Gave into temptation and purchased the Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Extreme.
Its should be arriving tomorrow, before 1pm.
The only issue is, everyone who ordered before me, are now complaining that they've received the wrong version of the card.
I've contacted amazon, via live chat to make sure it doesn't happen to me.
I'm a little scared, that I'll receive the wrong version of the card as well.
Because the Title says Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Extreme and in the description it says "Box Contains 1 x Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP Extreme Graphics Card"
But all the images are of the Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Edition
So what should I do, just return it if it's the wrong card? or just keep it?
I paid £609.98, I could of just got a palit jet-stream version of the card for £520.
Here's the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zotac-ZT-P10800C-10P-GeForce-Extreme-Graphics/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 to what i ordered
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Side note: Was just made aware that there's a promotion with the gtx 1070 and 1080, to get a free copy of gears of war 4.
Amazon told me. there's no such promotion, even though i saw them doing it two or 3 days ago.
So I contacted Zotac and they told me, because the promotion is so new amazon has been sending the codes out 3 or 5 says late, separately and I should wait for the email, if I still don't get it after 5 days, contact Zotac again.
I really appreciate any input, as to what to do in both situation.
Should i return it, if its wrong or keep it?
Should i just buy the game myself or keep pestering them, if i can get it for free?
Ok....$80 more for a reference card. $110 more for a decent one while it lasts....
