I also have bad CTS and have a pair and wear them any time I am using a palm sander, chainsaw, and sometimes even the lawnmower depending on how severe the CTS is.

Or the ones with knuckle protection. However, you'll be surprised to find out how quickly this job can wear out a pair of sturdy gloves. Even leather, it'll be smooth within a month.
I'd recommend insoles for your shoes, too, and honestly, I wouldn't work CAP2 without safety-toe boots. Steel or composite, your choice. It's just an added layer of safety. Broken toes are not fun.

Not sure if there is a relatively cheap option that is comfortable to use for long periods of time, but you should look into picking up some anti-vibration gloves like these.
