I know these may not be new apps for some of you, but I'd like to recommend them anyway. All of them are, IMO, really well designed. Very clean apps that offer a lot.

Fuelio - Great app for tracking gas mileage and fill-ups. Generates a lot of nifty graphs and charts and does a bunch more. Plus some GPS company just bought the app (it's still staying the same) so the guy is offering all the Pro features free, with no ads.
My Data Manager - Awesome data tracker for mobile network and wifi. Gives you a lot of different breakdowns, allows you to track data usage based on location (if you want), allows for data alarms, etc.
Battery Widget Reborn - Simple, straightforward battery tracking app. Projects time left, time to recharge, etc. The beta version is free for a limited time.
Google Wallet - Even if you don't want to use Google for purchasing things, they've incorporated gift cards/loyalty cards. For most gift cards, you just take a picture of the front and the back, and it automatically gathers all the info for it, including remaining balance. Then you can just use your phone to use the cards in stores (provided they have a barcode scanner, or you just have to tell them the number).
Untappd - Rate yer beer! Not as well designed as the others, but I like tracking what beers I drink.
Changelog Droid - Keeps track of all latest changes & release notes for your apps, so you can see all the updates in one place.

Are you sure? Adobe still supports AIR on Android, especially for games. Also, the Amazon tablet version (which certainly runs an Android variant) has patch notes referring to fixes related to Adobe AIR.

I would say that AIR is being used on all platforms, at present, mostly likely for access to Stage3D hardware acceleration. Also, early on, Stoic stated that they'd planned to use Autodesk Scaleform GFx to wrap their AIR/ActionScript implementation for the Linux port.

Unfortunately, I can't cite that last claim because it was written on their backer's forums, but it is mostly likely still searchable by folks with that access.

I experimented a bit.
The game is Retroids. https://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Software-Retroids/dp/B01G8FAVGS
It is a free download that comes with two graphical themes, with others available.

On Google Play, I had ads and a 99 cent IAP that removed the ads and unlocked additional graphic themes. The Ads never really performed and my overall Google revenue was VERY small.

On Amazon, I first tried a "pay what you want" scheme using a set of IAPs. This was yielded some results but minimal. I switched to a 99 cent IAP to unlock the additional themes and that has done the best.
For tablets and phones, it was also part of the Amazon Underground program while that existed. That program made everything free for customers and paid devs based on minutes of end user engagement with the app. That did pretty well for me (as it did many other devs, which is why Amazon decided it was costing them too much money). It performed really well on Underground in the UK for some reason.

On Xbox, the game is a premium or paid download (those are the interchangeable terms) with all the themes unlocked.

I've never paid for any ads.
Amazon gave me some amount of credit to spend on ads when I created my developer account, like $100 or something, and I used that.
More importantly, the game was selected as Fire TV game of the month in August 2016, and that featuring drove a lot of players and buyers.

Posting this again this week. No change since my last post here. It's my Ludum Dare entry, a simple snake clone. This game should serve as a test for the most part.

Feedback I'm looking for: Does the game work? Does the UI display correctly? Are there any glitches/crashes? Does the sound work OK? Etc..

Overview:
As the second entry in my #1GAM series, You Die At The End is a highly simple game at this point...which is partially by design and partially because it was built in two days. It's somewhat a modern rethinking of an old non-electronic handheld game I played a ton as a kid. You fly your ship at a bunch of walls flying at you faster and faster in space until one of them hits you and you die in an explosion.

Why are walls flying at you in space? Good question.

As with most of my #1GAM series, You Die At The End does not yet have all of the facets I'd like to bring in, but can at least at this point give you a feel for how play should work. These games are going to be updated with new features every month or so (Last month's project update is awaiting Apple approval at this point), so how it starts will not be how it ends up.

And...it's 100% free. No ads, no pop-ups, just you and the game. I have no plans to receive any money from this game, I just want people to get some enjoyment out of it. Right now, it plays a ton better on tablets than on phones, but is available for both.

This is my first game and I'd like to get everyone's feedback. It's a pretty basic "falling objects" game where you have to sort the different shapes into their matching suction tubes and detonate the explosives before they reach the shredder at the bottom of the screen.

Some of the falling objects (hint: disco ball, computer...) have a unique reaction when touched, to add a little extra excitement!
