Thanks, man! A bit... I don't know, scared now, I guess? From reading what you had to say. They actually did a quick shakedown + psychiatric evaluation of me when we got back to the school (we had a staff of two doctors, one a general physician, one is an ENT, two nurses, and a psychiatrist who does psych assessments normally to new employees), which lasted for most of my day the next day, but the doctors told me I appear to be normal, my psych assessment passed too. I haven't really seen a specialist, and didn't get EEG or brain scans, because probably part of me is scared to find something wrong? I guess.
Your answer might actually answer to everything I've experienced, but it scares me more that it might not. Going out on a limb here, but what if there are simply things we still haven't studied enough, like parallel worlds and multiverses? I've been reading David Wilcock's book The Source Field Investigations, and perhaps this is just the book getting to me. Haha. Ive been voraciously consuming all types of books—some have really resonated with me whilst others not so much. One book I would recommend is "The Convoluted Universe" by Dolores Cannon.
The Mandela Effect is interesting in that it is affecting a wide demographic of people in all sorts of stations and places in life. So I wonder if my reading list would resonate with other types of people here (for example, I am very extraterrestrial-centric, whereas others can be more "magical" in nature). That being said—I would be excited to read books in a group forum even if they didn't totally jive with my ever-evolving world view.
When working with new folks, I always say that they should set themselves some kind of super loose "curriculum". This can be hard for someone who is self-teaching because they don't know what there is to learn, but it isn't impossible.
What I recommend is that you get one of the books out there that are arranged into chapters and written like a workbook. These books are formatted in such a way that you could just follow along reading it each day and it will provide you with exercises to try. Promise to yourself that you will do each and every exercise in the book you choose. What this will mean is that you will add actual practice into your work since a lot of those exercises will ask you to go and do something. The hope is that this will jump start you into having your own steam to run on.

I think it's common to get caught up in the archetypes with astrology, such as Mercury the Messenger, Virgo the Virgin etc. It's not wrong to view astrology as an archetypal system, but as I think you can see, you run into some dead ends. I suggest taking a step back from the archetype of Mercury the Messenger and take a look at Mercury's nature as a planet. It's fast, it's very changeable due to it's routine retrogrades, it's androgynous rather than masculine or feminine, and takes on different nature according to phase and zodiacal location.
Moving on to the rulership thing, a favorite analogy of mine comes from Austin Coppock, who said Mercury as ruler of Gemini is the journalist, and Mercury as ruler of Virgo is the scholar. Both Gemini and Virgo have the Mercury thing going on where they want to pick things apart and look at every detail, but Gemini wants to think/talk about it and Virgo wants to see, touch, confirm, and do it. Both Gemini and Virgo have this "figure it out" quality, but Gemini is more mind oriented and Virgo is more concrete and grounded. Both are ruled by Mercury who is going to take it all apart and put it back together again, it's just that Gemini is going to do it all mentally then talk about it and Virgo is going to literally take the thing apart and line up all the parts and write down what each one does. (I should mention that when I talk about Gemini and Virgo, I'm just using analogies to illustrate the energy I'm talking about, I'm not talking about sun signs)
Rob Hand's Horoscope Symbols is a great book for digging into these kinds of things for each planet.

First things first, spend $16 on this book because it will be money well spent. The book is essentially a workbook that teaches you to construct your natal chart from the ground up; I think this approach is great for people that have little or no experience with astrology. When you're done, not only will you have a complete birth chart that you crafted yourself, but you'll have a much better understanding of the basics of astrology.
While I think there's plenty of great information online, I also tend to think that there's TOO much info - and it grows every day. It may be better for you to stick to a single path at first and expand your reach as your experience and familiarity with the system does, too.
It depends on what you're interested in really. You can get the general explanation of Federal Reserve, Illuminati, 9/11, CIA, NSA, etc from just about any YouTube video. Some books that have recently opened my mind to other topics, however include:
The Source Field Investigations by David Wilcock - The best written and most well-sourced book I've read concerning alternative history, conspiracy theories, suppressed science, and a host of other topics. Main thesis being that consciousness is a nonlocal field.
Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock - Some of the best evidence out there for a lost civilization which fell out of power and memory sometime around the end of the ice age. A bit outdated, but a sequel is due this year.
Genesis Revisted by Zecharia Sitchin - Read this if you want to understand why some people think the Annunaki are a thing. Some interesting info, but I don't really buy into it that much.
Dark Mission by Richard Hoagland - Occult history of NASA, coverups of what was found on the Moon, Mars, and some suppressed science.
The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot - Exactly what it sounds like
Rather than reading about the same theories in different words over and over, these books gave me perspective on possible reasons why TPTB do what they do. And an idea on what some deeper purpose for their intensive consumerism propaganda might be for, other than profit. Additionaly they exposed me to new/old ideas on what the universe fundamentally is and how it works, with some good science to back it up. Highly recommend all of these books.

It isn't exactly simple, but it's authentic.
Sure. The first house represents the physical body and its ability to produce and maintain a constant state of health. The sign on the Ascendant, planets aspecting it, and planets located within the first house all have a part to play in shaping the body and either reinforcing or undermining the health it's supposed to produce.
It's a pretty standard utilization of the first house that's consistent within the tradition. This one is a book of past life regressions done by Cannon. It touches on Atlantis and other historic moments that are not taught in our history books.

I got my first big introduction to astrology from this man, Tony, I met at an Easter lunch/dinner party. He asked if I knew anything about the topic and I didn't quite hear him correctly and thought he said astronomy. After correcting me, he gave me the intro about needing a natal chart and luckily I knew all of my information he needed to go through my chart. After looking over my chart and giving me a good overview of me, I was blown away and wanted to know how I could do the same. He suggested the book "The Only Way to Learn Astrology" Volume 1. I've since been reading that book a lot after dabbling with it for years.
To help me learn the stuff a bit easier, I got the idea to start turning that book into flash cards, which I've been doing slowly over on Duolingo's Tiny Cards site. Check out the Planets collection I've made, which I labeled "Astrology 1" that'll get you started learning about the planets and their effects. After that, I also have Astrology decks 2-4 which deal with the signs, the houses, and the aspects. I'm currently working on the next deck for the Astrology 4 dealing with all of the aspects the planets make in the chart.
Just take your time, learn a little bit at a time, and let your intuition point you in the right direction.
Classical, aka traditional, western astrology is, imo, the best way to go. Thoughout history, it has been used to advise on matters of state, marriage, commerce, theft, and to diagnose & treat disease. A court astrologer had to be accurate, or face the consequences!
An amalgamation of Egyptian, Vedic & Hellenistic practices, given to us by the ancient Greek, Jewish and Arab astrologers (Valens, Sahl, Masha'allah, etc.), and by medieval scholars like Bonatti, Lilly, & Morin, the art flourished into the early 1800's when it became dumbed down due to anti-fortune-telling laws, and 'rational' thought.
A very good starter book is On the Heavenly Spheres. It covers everything you need to know for further study.
Dr. Benjamin Dykes, professor of Medieval History and astrologer, has published numerous translations of classical astrological works, by several of the astrologers listed above, including his own Astrological Magic: Basic Rituals & Meditations. Nice to see a magickal work from an actual astrologer.
Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate by Chris Brennan was ten years in the writing, and it shows.
The Skyscript web site is about the best astrology site around. Lots of history, technique, and articles. Their forums, especially horary, have declined sharply in quality over the years, though you can still read the older messages.
To answer your question OP, humor. The answer is humor. Gemini is quippy and Capricorn is sarcastic. Try expressing yourself through dry, honest humor. But really, Gemini is not all that significant aside from your Rising. Sagittarius & the 9th House are far more important as you have a stellium there.
The other commenters are referring to transit Saturn (& later on, transit Pluto). Saturn is currently at 20° Capricorn & Pluto is currently at 23° Capricorn - both retrograde. Your Saturn Return is not for many more years. When Saturn returns to your birth sign of Aries- around 29 years of age.

Please keep in mind this is just a hobby of mine. It takes a ton of time studying and practicing to get a feel for how a chart works together to describe a person. If you want a really accurate reading I'd go to a professional. Have fun! :)
/r/astrology would be a great resource too. This is a subject I dabbled in quite frequently in my younger days, since then though my attention span has meandered elsewhere. One of the better books I read on the matter, especially for a beginner, was called The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need, by Joanna Martine Woolfolk.
One thing I would point out on regards to Freemasonry and Astrology, is that in the time our ritual was originally written Astronomy and Astrology were considered by most to be one and the same. Does this mean astrology has relevance to the modern possibly scientific minded Mason? Maybe or maybe not. Astrology is however its own vocabulary of symbols and symbolism which has intertwined its way into Western culture. A lot of Freemasons live for that sort of stuff. I know that's what attracted me to explore astrology as a young man and eventually pursue Freemasonry more recently.
One interesting overlap between the two is the circumpunct which Freemasonry has taken as one of its many insignia. It is also the astrological (and subsequently astronomical) symbol for the Sun.
The water types are said to have depth of emotion, intuitiveness, and high creativity. Not sure about tragedy but they hold memories and people deeply because of their strong bonds and powerful memory (emotions strengthen memories).
Haven't seen a site that interprets a chart that in-depth for free, perhaps because there are a really large number of combinations. That would be cool though, so I imagine someone would make that happen in a decade or so. There are bits of information that you could piece together (investigating about each placement through books and forums and websites, and tying the pieces together ie "Venus Conjunct Mars in Cancer, in First House", etc). There are professional services, the most automated and popular ones being Liz Greene and Robert Hand - intuitive and interactive interpretations, for an overall view (astro.com) and Astrotheme's automated interpretation (in-depth but a bit more segmented and technical).

The most insightful resources for gaining an intuitive understanding of astrology are personal experience, a curiosity for people and an appreciation of how they express themselves (usually unconsciously, through the higher mind or from experience), an awareness of how life continuously shifts through the [Planets in Transit] (http://www.amazon.com/Planets-Transit-Life-Cycles-Living/dp/0924608269) (Robert Hand and Robert Pelletier's books are pretty legit), and continuous reflection. I strongly recommend searching terms on astro.com's Astrowiki, it's one of the most credible resources you'll find on the web since it's run by Astrodienst.
I'd first start by trying to understand the planets as they are in their signs--so in your case, Venus in Sagittarius. Usually you can just google those, and you'll get a lot of interpretations in the results, so its up to you to come to a general understanding, as planet/sign combinations can look different for everyone depending on other factors.
Once you've done that, you can begin to compare planets in signs with other planets in signs (and somewhere along this line you'll want to take a look at house symbolism. It can be a lot to digest at once, but rewarding when you start making discoveries...or you could start with houses and their traditional rulership first to make things a bit easier--this is sometimes called the 'astrological alphabet').
Now, I have this really great book by Demetra George that was recommended to me on one of the astrology subreddits, and it has done wonders for my learning. It has you writing what's called 'astro-sentences,' where you take keywords of the planet, sign, and house and craft them into sentences you can understand. You do the same with aspects between planets, and she also shows you how to interpret transits. Of course, the book starts with the barebones of astrology though, so if you would consider yourself a beginner, this is a really, really good one to look at. I'd still consider myself a beginner too but... holy cow, the things I've learned man! The things I've learned! (Sorry... Gemini Ascendant...)

Antoine Court de Gebelin also was pretty bad with his made up history of Freemasonry. No one could read Egyptian hieroglyphics in his day, so he just made up nonsense that now that we can read Egyptian, really sticks out like a sore thumb. But masonic authors keep repeating it anyway.
I found Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy quite a struggle. There are many sections of it where you just flip ahead because the science is so bad it's anti-science, and the history is so wrong it's anti-history.
The Rosetta Stone destroyed the plausibility of a lot of bad made up Freemason-Egyptian history, but it still hasn't stopped masonic authors from repeating the old Gebelin nonsense.
As someone who wandered down a similar path years and years ago, and who has searched through different belief structures and ideas, and has even personally used the Hunter x Hunter to help formulate a basic structure for practice and mindfulness, I feel that this post is something that speaks me and that I should impart some of my experience, knowledge, belief and/or practice. This will probably be a confusing, rambling mess, but you've asked for it.

The most important thing I can say to you (and maybe it won't be helpful) is Nothing. I can give you Nothing. I can tell you Nothing. There is Nothing. Perhaps it is a veiled statement, but it is the most important one that I could give to you. Scrutinize it. Pick it apart. Understand it. Recognize that your understanding is probably wrong and look at it again. But there is Nothing to understand.
Let me help try to clarify it, just a little.

There is no singular path. No one way to get there. Identification is the enemy. Truth is a tidbit to be found in small pieces in all places, it is not a singular thing. People often choose to identify as things. Occultist, Buddhist, Christian, Spiritualist, Witch, Wiccan, Satanist, Psychic, Psychonaut, etc., etc. You get the idea. But the reality is that the truth bears not one of those things, but all. A witch and a christian and a psychic might be experiencing similar things but attributing them to different causes. The important part is the underlying beliefs and the overarching journey. Explore yourself, know yourself, feel yourself.
In that way, these paths are all the same. In that way, these identities are all the same. They are Nothing except for a way for us to label and name and understand what we experience. It's a system of structure.
Nothing you identify as will be the truth. It is the experience and journey that will be the truth. Do not mistake those things for one another. Do not get caught up in labels and identities. Do not shun other beliefs or ideas simply because you are X and they are Y. It may not fit you or work for you, but that does not mean it is invalid - it may work for someone else.
It is all a trap. Do not get lost down that road.

Years and years ago I personally used the structure of Hunter X Hunter's Nen energywork as a basis for creating my own practices that worked for me. I used Ten as a means to feel and understand my body and my energy, to keep my energy and aura around myself. I used Ren to help strengthen that energy. At first it was difficult, after a time, and still today, I can do it at will and I can feel that difference. What it is that I feel, I could not tell you the truth of it. It could be like a form of meditation, it could be something more. I cannot say. But I feel it. It helps me, it makes me feel better, it helps me collect myself. It is real, even if it is Nothing. Telling you what it is will not help you, I can only tell you that creating that structure and practice did help me find something in the way of energywork.
But the Hunter x Hunter, the Nen? To connect it to what I had been saying: all that is is a different a flavor. To some, that's psychism. To some, energywork. To others, witchcraft. It could be anything. But if it's something you like and it's something that works for you, then explore it. Try it. Practice it. If it helps you, it helps you. Who cares. But don't get lost in labeling it. Don't get lost in arguing it with others. We all have our own individual truths, we all have our own paths.

Is it possible that there are hidden forces?
Well, why not? The whole science of Physics is explaining forces that influence our physical universe - hundreds of years ago, we did not know about Dark Matter or have appropriate explanations for plenty of things. Is it possible there are other, underlying things going on in the Universe? Of course it is possible that there are things we don't understand.

"Powers" is not quite the way to put it. But I would do some research into the benefits of mindfulness and meditation. Spiritual beliefs and practices could have similar effects, especially when taken in hand with meditation and mindfulness. Some practices directly include those things. But do look into that.

A good book?
I'd highly recommend this book to start. It has a lot of information in it. It has a flavor of witch, but it touches a lot of very general energywork and is a great resource and a great place to start. I've owned this book for quite some time and have used it quite a bit and have loaned it out to quite a few people.
It's fun to describe to "Classics-snobs", as I call them, an old sci-fi book and how it effected my personal life, while stripping all of the sci-fi elements out of my explanation, until they ask me the name again so that they can write it down. My most recent example was The Stars My Destination By Alfred Bester, which I'd actually read in a Barnes and Noble in an afternoon. Not, as I'd told the person, in an open square near the Duomo in Florence(Which would have been a complete waste of my time in Italy).

It's old, but has never been bettered in my view. It's how I learnt astrology before later gaining a diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London.

I'd say I've only really read through the Horoscope Symbols one and use the others as references while examining charts. Unfortunately I haven't found a parallel resource online.

From what I can say, my experience involving work with planetary influences in the Order has been powerful for me and are in some ways similar and more ways different to RO's 7 Spheres. I think the best reference for the work would be this would be Planetary Magick by Denning and Phillips.

Hi hi! I'm just going to list the books & pages that I feel helped me out the most, and why. Hope it helps!
One of my first, a friend & I used this book to dip our toes into the deep subject, but if you glance through it, you'll see it's just a book of exercises and keywords. Eventually, this book helped me realize that the the signs/planets aren't "interpretations & keywords" but more like themes in a story, if not their own story, and those keywords are ways of that storyline or theme (or, dare I say it, energy) in the world & in our minds.
A fundamental text that was my guide for a long time, until I started reading about specific subjects.
As much as I love -in Aspect and -in Houses, Planets in Transit has a permanent place on my bedside stand.
Another great book that helps explain why trines aren't always great, squares aren't always bad, and WTF a bisesquiqadrate is.
Absolutely anything by Liz Greene, but specifically Mythic Astrology. Few books can give you feel for a planet or sign with the direct Hellenistic history & descriptions like that one. There is another Mythic Astrology out there but it didn't leave an impression on me like Greene's book did.
Finally, a title that I probably shouldn't publicly admit to attributing any education value to, yet here we are ~ Seduction By the Stars. Sometimes those pop culture, shallow consumables are the best way to break down complicated subjects into easy-to-digest bits that are good for the beginner. Honestly, between this book & Liz
Greene's Astrology for Lovers, you will never need to witness a Linda Goodman catastrophe.
As far as websites, I have only 3 that I rely on consistently. Astrolabe, which I keep up 24\7 to refresh for current transits, The Lost Horoscope X-Files, which has a section on the left sidebar called 'Online Resources' that has been very educational for me in learning about prediction, and Astrodienst as a place online to create & store charts, or get draw up specifically advanced types of charts. When I was beginning I spent a lot of time on Cafe Astrology as well.
I don't know where you are with astrology anymore because this is an old post, but I'm self-instructing astrology starting with this book. I've got a Virgo Sun, Virgo Moon, and I managed to snag Virgo in Mars, too, so if you want to hear Virgo's opinion of anything I've got that pouring out in spades :D

Interesting and common question here. People who've been involved in the occult for all of their lives still sometimes ponder this question. The only way to make up your mind about this is the same way you test to see if magick is 'real', you need to experience it. Yes, some do believe these deities exist as independent literal entities while others believe they are merely mental constructs or expressions of consciousness not normally available to us ("It's all in your head, you just have no idea how big your head is!"). Then of course there is the wonderfully murky middle ground position between those two beliefs.
I would say that for practical purposes you do not need to have a solid position in order to have the experience. Even if they are not 'real' in literality doesn't mean they aren't 'real'. I would recommend you do some planetary magick, perhaps begin with a talisman creation (example instruction here) followed by a planetary invocation or evocation of the same. A good book I'd recommend is Planetary Magick by Denning and Phillips.. Also read around a bit more; an excellent resource is Studio Arcanis (formerly known as Evocation Magick) where there is lots of talk of evocation, invocation, and everything else you could possible want. Allow me to explain one or two of the principles of magic, and bear with me, this takes up an entire chapter in The Inner Temple of Witchcraft, which I highly recommend you purchase as the first piece of your library. And let me say before I start, I was there. I came to Wicca because I too wanted to regain my spirituality.
So here's the principle you're kind of hinting at for yourself. The Principle of Vibration. Everything vibrates, because everything is made of atoms. What we understand in Wicca/Witchcraft is that these vibrations are unique and that they can be read. Your brain, being made of atoms, knows its pattern of vibration. When that vibration changes, you can tell. It's the feeling in the pit of your stomach and things like that. The vibration changes because of wave interference from other sources of vibration. (Amazing how this stuff is actually grounded in science, idnit? The only thing that's hard for science to grasp is how we can know our own vibrations and read others). A vibration that interferes with yours too much is the idea behind people who "clash" and can't seem to get along. Objects vibrate too and can be read, but I think this post has gone on long enough. I'll let you ask a question or two for a while.

Unrelated to anything political, I think you’d really enjoy David Wilcock’s book The Source Field Investigations, and then reading his follow-up bestsellers too. They’re all heavily researched and cite an absurd amount of published science.
I believed the same things about Alex Jones before I heard him out. He’s not as crazy as his detractors would have you believe, surprisingly. He has zero corporate backers. He sells extremely high quality health supplements and other things to support himself so he isn’t bent to anyone else’s will. He just likes to give you the facts in a sort of pro-wrestling way which makes for endless entertainment. Part of the fun is laughing at his freak outs and antics.
By the way, he never said Sandy Hook didn’t happen. He questioned some anomalies. Clips were heavily and maliciously edited to make it appear that he said no one died. Watch his recent deposition on YouTube and see for yourself how much the lawyers questioning him just embarrassed themselves. He never sent anyone to anyone’s house. It’s his right to question things and play devil’s advocate.
There are many politicians looking to heavily restrict access to and the legality of owning guns. ie: Eric Swalwell, Eric Holder saying “we need to brainwash kids” into hating guns. Yes, that is an actual quote. Every country has “come for the guns”. Switzerland is one of the only other ones I know of that hasn’t.
I do not believe the two party system is really a two party system. It is designed to play the ends against the middle. It’s full of weaklings and worse who take their bribes and their orders from elites who play with our lives for fun and for money. Left hand path you could say.
I can tell you’re a very intelligent person too. I’m willing to bet that if you’re someone simply in search of truth, you will come around to Infowars. They are the “mentally diseased apostates” we’ve been warned about. In fact, I dare you to go to their site and watch it for a bit. Owen Shroyer’s War Room show is on now, he’s much younger and less adhd than Alex. They are proven right over and over and over, oftentimes years in advance of what is publically admitted, ie: NSA-level mass spying.
I’d rather get my news from them than from Fake News CNN or Fox.
I'm much more interested in witchcraft than in high/ceremonial magick, but also I
wantneed to understand the theory behind... whatever the heck this is. If magic is real, then it has rules, and so far Quareia is the only source I've found that claims to teach them from the ground up and then actually follows through.The Inner Temple of Witchcraft claims to be a thorough beginners' course, and gets really good reviews saying the same thing; but I got it from my local library and was unimpressed. There's a lot of "what" and not a lot of "why," and the last quarter-to-third of the book veers off into speculation and describes several mutually exclusive theories of What's Really Out There, some of which conflict with things that are presented as fact elsewhere in the book.
For a basic overview of astrology and its significance/purpose, I'd suggest you read Margaret Hone's Modern Textbook of Astrology. As an adjunct to that, Isabelle Pagan's From Pioneer to Poet gives helpful detail on the specific signs.
I have recently been delving into this because I find it very interesting that there may be a connection between the two. I have watched a couple lectures one of which being Crossing the Event Horizon: Rise to the Equation, a lecture by Nassim Haramein. He really goes into the connection and forces of everything showing a linear progression from large to small bodies throughout the universe with the relation of their frequencies to their radii. He also talks about the relationship of forces between certain bodies such as the nucleus of an atom and the singularity of a black hole having the same force holding them together. Let me know if you have more questions but here is the lecture and a good book I have been reading covering some of the same subject material but maybe in a different way!
