What the hell? Why is yours so cheap!?
We got the same flyer and had the same laugh in our shop about this.

There's the page from our flyer.
If anyone is actually interested in this kit. Very similar kit is sold by Gear Wrench for 150 bucks and it comes with a full set of metric ratchet wrenches. Fantastic buy.

Craftsman is junk; Husky is decent; Snap On is overpriced.
I re-tooled last summer from my old Williams set. Here's what I wound up with:
-Snap On GF80: 3/8" drive ratchet, got it off ebay for $50. I probably wouldn't buy again, but it is very nice.
-Pittsburgh Pro extendable 1/2" drive and flex-head 1/4" ratchets: Less than $20 each, and they are 90% as good as the Snap On. I would probably buy the 3/8" instead of the Snap On, if I had to do it over again.
-Pittsburgh Pro 1/2" drive impact sockets: These boys have taken some abuse at this point, and other than the etching having been stripped off of a couple (see abuse above), they are still in great shape. $25 for shallow, $32 for deep, Metric or SAE.
-GearWrench 3/8" drive impact sockets: $60 for a pretty complete (8mm-19mm + 21mm, 5/16"-3/4") set, and they are very thin-walled so you don't really need chrome.
-Pittsburgh Pro 3/8" chrome (shallow only): $9/set for 12-point sockets, which is the only reason I got them.
-Pittsburgh Pro 1/4" chrome sockets, shallow and deep: Overpriced, really, but I got the color-coordinated ones which are pretty cool. I might go for a cheaper set if I had to do it again. $8-9/set.
-GearWrench Long Pattern Wrench Set: I got the 22-piece Metric set (6mm-32mm with some skips) for $97; I haven't bothered to get the SAE set, I just have a handful of Pittsburgh SAE wrenches on a wrench ring.
And a big rally box to put it all in. I bet you could get all of it for under $500 if you use coupons at Harbor Freight and shop around for the GearWrench stuff.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I also got a DeWalt cased set to keep in my trunk:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-1-4-in-x-3-8-in-Drive-Polished-Chrome-Mechanics-Tool-Set-200-Piece-DWMT75000/206510555
But I had to add some wrenches (it has 10mm, 11mm, 13mm and 14mm; wtf?!) to my trunk bag to make it "complete," and even then it has some oddness to it (3/8" drive starts at 14mm, so you'd better not have any really tight 12mm bolts...) so it might not be what you are looking for, but they make a few different sets.
----------------------------------------------------
Other things I considered:
https://www.amazon.com/Williams-50614-2-Inch-Socket-146-Piece/dp/B00HR1Q5F4
$320 for a complete Williams socket set, but the wrenches are about the same...
---------
This might be the "bang for the buck" winner, simply for the completeness of the socket sets:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYZ2IJ5
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MDO6L90
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OZJN3PQ
$270 ($180 for 1/2", $88 for 1/4" and 3/8") for a staggeringly complete set (10mm-32mm in 1/2" drive, shallow and deep, with no skips!) and then $42/set for the wrenches, 8mm-22mm.
---------
https://www.amazon.com/KD-Tools-KDT-80942-239-Piece/dp/B00OL2XFLO
GearWrench socket, wrench and allen key set, $210 for a whole bunch of tools, although they aren't the high-tooth-count ratchets.
--------
https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-tools/hand-tool-sets/301-pc-mechanics-tool-set-63464.html
Then there's this thing. It is actually quite well reviewed, and surprisingly complete on the socket side, if a little short on wrenches. It's usually on sale for $160.
---------
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056E11QW
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BT0AYG0
...and then there's the dream: If I could get away with having this stripped-down of a set... $600 for a very nice, but fairly bare-bones set. No deep-well, no 3/8" drive at all (hello, super-tight 12mm bolts!), and only great big long extensions... if you never need to get into really tight spaces, maybe. The 3/8" drive set is another $260 on top of this, and still doesn't have short extensions or deep-well sockets.
OP is Australian, tools are stupid expensive there. That set in the US is $225 at amazon right now. A similar Snap On set is $481
I have two tool suggestions that are in the "stuff that I want but costs too much to justify" category, which makes for a perfect gift.
A set of GearWrenchs. You can go just metric if you want, because that's pretty much every motorcycle. But you gotta peek in the toolbox and make sure he doesn't have a set, and stick to the GearWrench brand.
Second, which may require a little more leg work, is a 3/8" ratchet from Matco or Snap-On. To come in on budget, you may have to trawl ebay or pawn shops for lightly used ones, which is fine because they have a lifetime warranty. These are professional grade hand tools for people who work with them every day, that most shadetree guys won't buy because the prospect of a $100 ratchet is unjustifiable. Therefore, perfect gift! Here's a good example. The Matco 88 tooth ratchets are the shit.
I own that Joker set. They look cool. They've got a feature list a mile long. But my Tekton wrenches are just... better. For what it's worth, the quality on the Joker's aren't even that good. Wera sent their manufacturing for the Joker's out to the Czech Republic, which is kinda like the China of Europe for cheap manufacturing.
If you need ratcheting wrenches, I'd recommend you get the Tekton WRN53170 set. 8-19mm with no skips, which is the same range as the wera plus the 9mm. And the set is only $80 for some strong wrenches with better quality control than the Joker's. Great warranty too. https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-WRN53170-Ratcheting-Combination-Wrench/dp/B01F511TS0
If ratcheting isn't that important to you, the WRN03393 set is also great. 8-22mm with no skips. Only $50 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-Combination-Wrench-Roll-up-Storage/dp/B0199R9UQ4
Oh and always buy the Tekton sets with the pouches - if you like the plastic wrench organizers instead, you can always buy those separately for a few bucks, but those roll up pouches are gorgeous and strong and you can't buy them by themselves.
Anyway, sorry if I sound like a Tekton fanboy, but I own all three sets I've talked about here. I hardly use my Joker's because the Tekton sets are way better. TL:DR Jokers not worth it.
I had a tough time swapping the fan clutch in my F-150. I went to Autozone, O'Reilly, and Advance Auto and still couldn't find a wrench that would fit. I broke down and bought the Lisle fan clutch tool. I was able to uninstall / install using the tool along with Kobalt air chisel and Porter air compresssor.
People told me I'd need a stronger compressor. Nope. Just gotta give it time to charge up in between attempts to remove / install the fan clutch.
You gotta get yourself one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Piece-Rubber-Wrench-9-45570/dp/B00K92810A
That's an entirely different thing though. It's open end wrench heads with a hole for a socket wrench.
Example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NPUJNA/
looks like a nice set.
those will have to go onto my wishlist.
wrenches on amazon
Not the same one, but this looks really nice. I might buy it for myself.
Wiha 75965 Precision Micro Bit Ratchet Steel Storage Box, 65-Piece https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQ753W8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Tk0gAbG1SCH0A
Get a rubber strap wrench. $5 at Harbor Freight, $18.23 @Amazon.
Just don't buy the nylon ones as they aren't worth a plug nickel, IMO. They are impossible to get tight enough to get friction in my experience but the rubber one I have would have that thing off/tight in a jiffy.
Everyone should own a strap wrench anyway.
If you ever need to do any PVC work or have large or irregular fittings to remove/tighten, they are a Godsend.
Edit:
Here is a set of 2 Craftsman strap wrenches from Amazon that are highly rated for $18.23 shipped w Prime.
Here is a set of 2 from Harbor Freight for $4.99 + tax.
I'd recommend investing the extra $13 to get the Craftsman set as you'll be able to use them for many years to come. The HF ones are included in case you are just in need of getting this one fitting tight and are not worried about long term value, or if money is overwhelmingly the determining factor. Good luck. You can do this.
Just to add to what you said, flare nut wrenches are really the way to go for bleeder screws. Better contact than a 12 point box end wrench, and since they’re still open ended you can use them for all brake line applications. You’ll never strip one again: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KF253OG

I have the same set. I think Lisle makes it. Yup
I love my Gearwrench stuff. I have the ratcheting wrenches and some socket stuff, the 120XP ratchets are amazing. I always grab them before my more expensive tools.
For your budget you can get a lot of wrenches:

For computer repair I recommend:
High Quality $60:
Wiha 75965 Precision Micro Bit Ratchet Steel Storage Box, 65-Piece https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQ753W8
Low Quality $15 (goes on sale for even less somewhat often):
ORIA Precision Screwdriver Kit, Magnetic Driver Kit, S2 Steel 60 in 1 Repair Tool Kit, Flexible Shaft for Smartphone, Game Console, Tablet, Macbook, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0772RSX8L
Hi there, amateur DIYer here. I'd personally recommend an "rubber strap wrench" or "oil filter wrench", something like this:
https://smile.amazon.com/Craftsman-Piece-Rubber-Wrench-9-45570/dp/B00K92810A
From my experience those help with removing diffcult nuts.
Needless backstory - A couple years ago I went through replacing all of the flush and fill valves at my house with quieter alternatives. These wrenches helped me a lot with removing the old flush valve nuts. YMMV though.
I've installed one of those. It was reasonably easy; took a couple of hours. Take your time, have a helper, and make sure that your opening is as level and square as possible before installing. Confirm the clearances required. Be sure to have an impact driver on hand (something like https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-impact-driver-Cordless-Impact/dp/B075FNH7HC), and a set of sockets. Have fun!
Leverage.
I have the matco (3x as expensive) version of all of these:
https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-81230F-Polish-Handle-Ratchet/dp/B000V5G7LU/ref=pd_sbs_469_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000V5G7LU&pd_rd_r=WFB0XHAVEFRVD1DD6CZS&pd_rd_w=itHwF&pd_rd_wg=A03cy&psc=1&refRID=WFB0XHAVEFRVD1DD6CZS
I have this set and the larger set and I use the shit out of them:
https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-85988-Ratcheting-Wrench-GearBox/dp/B000T8WFBU/ref=sr_1_4?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1509582952&sr=1-4&keywords=long+gear+wrench
These pistoning ratcheting wrenches are awesome for tight spaces like the fan, transmission, and t-case bolts.
Those will only work in perfect wide open situations which you will hardly ever if at all encounter working on cars and trucks. I highly recommend getting these instead. Mountain (MTNRM6) 5 Piece Metric Double Box Universal Spline Reversible Ratcheting Wrench Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DDO1DPG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6ZzXAbAQDVXYQ
I have used them almost every day for 5 years working on cars/trucks/aircraft/motorcycles and they have never let me down. You get accessibility, reversible ratcheting mechanism with both offset and flush heads. The spline engagement is fucking awesome too, because 6/12/square doesn’t matter.
I completely disassembled my H03. I used these strap wrenches. You can take the bezel off and remove the optic with a torx screwdriver, and you can remove the button with a pair of snap ring pliers. It uses a 17mm driver and a 16mm MCPCB. The driver is held in by the body tube, and you can pop the MCPCB out the driver hole very easily.
If you take the head off while the rubber switch boot is still on, just be sure to position it so the strap isn't touching it. I tore a button on a Fenix light that way.
Here is a post with photos.
Edit: I don't know of a driver that would work with an e-switch.
Can someone tell me if this toolset is ok or should I stick to the full sized drivers?
https://www.amazon.com/Gearwrench-20-Piece-Ratcheting-Wrench-Metric/dp/B00AA7Y8QU i have these from gearwrench and they're awesome, they're not reversible but you can always just flip them if you want to go the other way and save yourself 50 bucks
Like walking a rounded off nut loose. If you tab the left edge with about half the chisel blade they will break loose unless they are severely rusted. I prefer this set but it does work in a pinch.
Get a good leather belt or thick web style wrap it around and pull against like you would tighten it on yourself. Works every time and you don't end up spilling too much oil everywhere. Or if you have access to something similar to this
https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Piece-Rubber-Wrench-9-45570/dp/B00K92810A
It just unscrews like the shower head. You can use a normal wrench and a cloth to keep it from scratching. I had a strap wrench so I used that. https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Rubber-Strap-Wrench-Set/dp/B00K92810A/ref=pd_bxgy_469_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00K92810A&pd_rd_r=8BGVY4F0WKXZHHNGZM7C&pd_rd_w=0UdiR&pd_rd_wg=RICaC&psc=1&refRID=8BGVY4F0WKXZHHNGZM7C
Also some Teflon tape to wrap on the threads.
Yes! The pouches actually look really awesome too, better than any other design I could find online so I figured I kinda had to pay a little extra and get them! Is it too late to return that set and get the other?
The combined set with pouches is item 90192: Amazon
I ended up getting this one the other day when ebay had a 15% off coupon: ebay set
The 15 piece SAE set is item WRN03293: SAE set on Amazon
The 15 piece Metric set is item WRN03393: Metric set on Amazon
Alternatively, if you cannot return that set you CAN order the pouches directly from Tekton! It's an exclusive from them, so I doubt you'll see them anywhere else for awhile: SAE Pouch, Metric Pouch
For super stubborn pieces that get stuck, I have used something similar to these in the past: https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Rubber-Strap-Wrench-Set/dp/B00K92810A
so.. those rubber strap wrenches are pretty handy... dont need to waste a crank pulley.
https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Rubber-Strap-Wrench-Set/dp/B00K92810A
use a cheater bar to wedge it against the ground.
My favorite kit, but likely well outside of your price range:
Wiha 75965 Precision Master Technician Kit
As for a more basic set, either Wera or Wiha are going to have solid tools. If you go for the cheaper Chinese made kits, you will find very low quality tips.
My favorite tool(s) I absolutely love these things and couldn't have done the headgasket on my jetta without them. They feel great in the hand too! I don't feel that their newer spline drive flex head set is worth the price difference.
I got all flex head ratchets when I started and after doing a few projects I absolutely hated them, and replaced them all with fixed heads. I still have the flex heads around just in case I need them but it hasn't happened and it's been 3 years.
For the balljoint work I'd just get a pickle fork as they've never failed me.
I've never needed a slide hammer, heard they can really mess up your wrists if you use them wrong though.
Multimeter
Hand Impact Driver If you get this one from HFT, throw away the bits immediately and order some VIM ones off of amazon.
The HFT PRO ^1/2" drive impact sockets are chromolly and are great, the non-pro impact sockets aren't worth the paper your receipt is printed on.
Anything else you're looking for?
I use a small 12v impact driver (brushless is better since it doesn't get weaker over time as contacts get dirty).
Or I use my 12v ratchet
This is my favorite set of wrenches They are long, have swivel heads and the way the ratcheting part protrudes on one side makes all the difference in a ton of situations.
We have this set for precision work Wiha 75965 Precision Micro Bit Ratchet Steel Storage Box, 65-Piece
Very good connection between the bits and holder, and the bits have held up well. Metal box is nice to throw in bag and not worry about. Biggest downside is no tri-wing bits for MacBook Pro batteries.
Thanks! I didn't think I could get a picture in that dark, small place behind the sink.
It's actually a Delta and based on your comment I searched was was able to find a tool that appears to be what I need.
Thanks!
You can probably get it with a crows foot on an extension https://www.amazon.ca/TEKTON-2575-8-Inch-Crowfoot-Wrench/dp/B000NPUJNA
Fear cuts deeper than swords
Main WL
WHEW. That took way longer than I thought it would but I think I found everything but what your name is! Thanks for the contest, I had a blast!
You can wrap a strap wrench around the TC end then tighten the valve or disconnect.
https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Piece-Rubber-Wrench-9-45570/dp/B00K92810A/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3CELGGSSEXH0P&keywords=strap+wrench&qid=1556635566&s=gateway&sprefix=strap+wre%2Caps%2C357&sr=8-3
These are just re branded gearwrench, here is the full set. Gearwrench
I don't really understand what you're trying to ask but an adjustable isn't going to work it'll work on the bigger nuts and bolts, but you'll destroy the smaller ones, just get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NIK9BE?cache=10153e375b2eba4b905cc13839189132&pi=SX200_QL40&qid=1407446547&sr=8-2#ref=mp_s_a_1_2
If you want a drill just get a 40 dollar black & decker drill and a simple drill/bit set, it'll do fine for jobs like hanging a shelf etc.
You have the tools for most small jobs, just buy new stuff whenever you need it.
I got this, this, this, and this. If you're doing it only once then it may be worth it, but if you're gonna do it for multiple sights then you might wanna get the tools.
Clamps will damage and misshapen the metal. If it were me I would use rubber strap wrenches. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00K92810A/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1501936296&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=strap+wrench&dpPl=1&dpID=41DSoDPA6qL&ref=plSrch
I ran in to the same thing with mine.
I asked Rugged, and their answer was to point me here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001HZQW0Y/
I used their shims and those wrenches to install all of my muzzle devices.
I do not totally understand your question. Pass through sockets are exactly what you are describing. unless you are talking about the bolt's head, in which case a simple ratcheting wrench would do the trick just fine.
After TM attached the head to the piston assembly they glued a little plastic circle over the screw head. If you are lucky you can unscrew the piston head with a small strap wrench while holding the spring.
If you are unlucky the piston head will spin on the screw that secures it to the piston weight/spring inside the piston. If that happens you have to cut the plastic from the center of the head to access the screw. It's less hassle to just get a SHS piston and head to install.
made by mountain https://www.amazon.com/Mountain-MTNRM6-Universal-Reversible-Ratcheting/dp/B00DDO1DPG hope you didnt pay much more than that
That looks a lot like a Delta mount; the white plastic nut on the right (and the one not in the picture to the left) will come off by hand easily, but the rusted square/C-shaped bracket is probably held on by a nut that's threaded onto the brass tube furthest from the camera. You'll probably need one of these to get it off: https://www.amazon.com/DELTA-FAUCET-RP60924-Delta-Wrench/dp/B004EBPDP8
To remove the faucet, unclip that flexible hose, stick the Delta wrench on there, and unscrew the nut. Then (with the water shut off, obviously) disconnect the copper pipes, get that bracket off, and work the three pipes upward. It's going to be a bit of a pain in the ass because they'll just barely fit.
I replaced almost the same model with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=kohler+faucet+kitchen
Why not get these?
https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Super-Thin-Wrench-Set/dp/B001HZQW0Y

or just find out exactly what size wrench you need, and google that size + flat wrench.
The set you linked is a great set! Wera makes some of the best engineered tools for ergonomics and performance. It seems pricey (and it is...), but it's something that might outlive you!
As for your needs, your comment about "bits" is a bit confusing. There aren't "regular" bits. There are a variety of bits for a interchangeable screwdriver handle. Each has a denotation: e.g. T6 is Torx size 6; P5 is Pentalobe size 5; 1.27 is Hex metric 1.27mm; etc.
For example, this Wiha set has a variety of bits. Are any of those what you need? It does contain T6 like your original post specifies.
If you need to make a smaller purchase, Wiha has smaller kit sizes, especially ones without the ratchet.
Another great brand is PB Swiss. I'm not sure if they have a retailer/redistributor in your area, but if you're in Europe, you can order from their website with reasonable the shipping rates.
I think the bit that's closest to the ratchet in this set is what you need https://www.amazon.com/Wiha-75965-Precision-Ratchet-65-Piece/dp/B00JQ753W8/
Edit: that's the opposite of what you need as you mentioned. Here is a Wiha nut driver that has a 4mm shank and 1/4 end https://www.wihatools.com/sys-4-nut-driver-blade-1-4
Worst case you could cut it shorter if required
A line wrench would probably be able to get that.
I have a Wiha Micro Bit Ratchet Set on my "Expensive Shit" Wishlist. It would make my life easier when I'm working on whatever laptop/desktop/gadget/etc. I have in front of me. I've been wanting something like this for a while, but haven't had a chance to buy it yet.
I already have this tool, but the ratchet set has way more going on! PLUS, getting the ratchet set would allow me to give this to someone I know who needs one.
Win-Win!
Thanks for the contest!
Are these the set?
If you ever want to upgrade, this Wiha set is my favorite. Just buy an additional philips #2 bit as it is the only thing the kit is missing. I have owned about 5 different kits from cheap sets I bought from hardware stores to ifixit to the Wiha Master Technicians Kit and the above linked one is the best.
link to set in question
u/NomadMoose posted the following link in a thread recently, Wiha are quite good quality, German company, but possibly not made in Germany.

For the wrenches and sockets, I've got

They're about on par with the Craftsman stuff I have but cheaper.
The bad thing about cheap wrenches and sockets is that they break, and even worse than that they're mis-sized. For example, you might have a socker that's off by .25mm - what will happen is you'll get to an extra tight bolt and instead of turning it the socket will just round off the corner. Then even if you get a good tool to put on it you might be screwed since the bolt is now mis-shapen.
Just thought I'd mention that since it sounds like you're just starting out. Good tools not only last longer, but work better too.
None. You'd still want a set of opens so it amounts to the same whether you go double open + double box or combination.
Now these ratchet + offset ones are worth having in addition:

What’s the difference with GEARWRENCH 35720 Ratcheting Wrench Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSCZCPM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FOy7CbB6KGK67
I don’t understand the price difference
Metric, most vehicles use metric these days. Combination wrenches And 3/8's socket set
Links are for examples only, tool choice is a highly personal decision, for more help deciding visit r/tools and personally I recommend brands with lifetime, no receipt needed warranties (Tekton, Husky-home depot, Craftsman-sears, $$$Snap on, $$Mac tools, $$Matco, and for those on a budget: Pittsburgh pro from harbor freight, you'll need a receipt but they will email you a receipt if you give them your address)
That style isn't ideal for rolling up. Tekton does make a style that's for rolling up and its quite impressive.
Ideally you have a cover flap for on top that comes down to stop the wrenches from sliding out.
[This] (https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-WRN03393-Combination-Roll-up-Storage/dp/B0199R9UQ4) is what I'd recommend for a wrench roll.
Is this a Delta faucet?
Bend the copper tubing out of the way. Disconnect the sprayer hose. Delta makes a 15/16" through-wrench. https://www.amazon.com/DELTA-FAUCET-RP60924-Delta-Wrench/dp/B004EBPDP8
Luckily there's a few options to make those damn pickle jars open easier.
If the last link can't get it open you have just found an indestructible pickle jar :)
I used that and one of the pieces from https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-2575-8-Inch-Crowfoot-Wrench/dp/B000NPUJNA/ for my bike. I feel like there should be a better thing than these crowfoot wrench heads, but i've just started getting into doing my own maintenance and don't know any better.
To clarify, you're trying to unscrew the head from the body tube?
I used these strap wrenches from amazon. I was able to unscrew the parts fairly easily with two strap wrenches without having to apply any heat. Maybe trying another set of strap wrenches might help?
Good luck and let me know how things go!
Oh.... that changes things... now, you don't have much clearance, but a "strap wrench" might work too, assuming you have to rotate the blue bit.
A few.https://www.amazon.com/Wera-Joker-Combination-Spanner-Sets/dp/B00BT0AYG0?th=1EDIT: I can't read.
Ich glaube die/manche Wera Joker Sets haben das, die sind generell sehr geil

I just put together a tool kit for my BRZ, and I ended up getting a set of Tekton metric sockets and a Tekton low-profile 3/8s inch ratchet. I've used Tekton quite a bit and I found them to be pretty great. These metric sockets will cover just about everything on the car that can be loosened or tightened with a socket, and since they're deep sockets you can loosen lug nuts with them.
I'd suggest getting a breaker bar or torque wrench if you want to get an additional accessory. The breaker bar is great for loosening tough nuts, and the torque wrench is terrific for tightening a fastener to the exact amount of force it specifies in the manual.
If you really want to go above and beyond, an open ended wrench set (also metric) can be great for when a socket just won't fit. They even make a version with a built-in ratcheting mechanism
In summary, a metric ratchet set that goes from about 8mm to about 20mm is a great gift idea, and you can easily add on other accessories or wrenches if you want to make your gift a bit bigger. I can personally vouch for the Tekton stuff--sure it's not the most expensive fancy set of tools out there, but they look, feel, and work well.
Hope this helps!
I have a set of Jokers.
They're very nice wrenches. However, the price is a bit much for what they are. The ratcheting mechanism is very nice and the nut-retention plate is a neat feature, but I'm not sure I'd pay that same price again. Maybe if there were a gear reverse lever on the handle that would change things a little.
As it is, I paid $160 for the set when it was on sale. Don't get me wrong, it's a damn nice set of wrenches and I enjoy using them but that's a lot of dosh.
I knew even before asking that German-made tools would be the most expensive, but I figured Japan might have something made and priced somewhere in the middle. It's hard to stomach buying top of the line for something that I'll only use whenever I have a phone or a laptop in need of repair... and with the way technology is progressing, DIY repairs might not even be a possibility in the future.
Between these two Wiha kits, which one would you buy?

I use plumber wrenches to not destroy parts when something like this happens: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00K92810A/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_old_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Right tools make all the difference this will hold the brass nut so you can undo it. https://www.amazon.ca/Delta-Faucet-RP60924-Wrench/dp/B004EBPDP8/ref=asc_df_B004EBPDP8/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292999463894&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=270949492280376370&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001463&hvtargid=pla-343961816084&psc=1
They have attachments that do this exact thing, why ruin a wrench and torque wrench for this?
