We have a couple of these at our family cabin. Our twins love them and they fold up easily so we've taken them to pools too.

But if you're going to be in deep water or on any boats I'd just get lifejackets instead. They won't want to be in the water very long.

Mine loves the water. LOVES. At almost 5 months, she's been in several pools and the ocean a few times.

Most of the time we have her in this and it works out pretty well. It's marketed for 9-24 months, but she has pretty good head control and she is just about sitting up. We either use that, or hold her.

Here she is in the ocean and loving it.

If the water feels cold to you, it's probably too cold for baby. Try to keep her in for short periods of time even if it is a warm day too.

This is what we used when ours was that age. Worked for us.

OMG!!!! That sounds scary. We debated swim lessons but have been successful with our community's pool and a hotel pool on vacation.

We were also gifted this, http://www.amazon.com/Swimways-Spring-Activity-Center-Canopy/dp/B000WQZD9U/ref=zg_bs_1272923011_1/181-1669147-7320012 and it has worked very well for us!

We are going to Dewey Beach in August for a BIG family vacation, let's see how she does with the Ocean!

We used SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ARPETGE

It was also in the middle of summer and outside. We took him out after he wouldn't stop trying to climb out and just lightly held him while letting him float. He was a yr old. The very first time we took him in we did the same thing (without the float). He loved it and stayed in the pool for close to 3hrs (salt water not chlorine).

You can get swimming rings for 0-1 years which we did use briefly but honestly I wouldn't bother. They hold up the babies well out of the water so really only their legs are in, and they can't reach over the end to splash. We just held ours and then got them a jacket when they were about 18 months. Both got used to the water really quickly that way.

Glad I was helpful. And I just remembered what I forgot to add. Sell Pumps too! They will eventually want to inflate your Floats.

If your product is already prepackaged then you may want to use Amazon Fulfillment Services. You can then offer the Pump cheaply because it would be an "Add-On Item" for the purchase. Here is one for just $6.98 if your customers are Amazon Prime or you can just let Amazon handle the transaction separately and sell them something like a Foot Bellows Pump. By letting Amazon warehouse your product you save money and have a single distribution source. See what offers Amazon has for how many people you get signed up for Amazon Prime.

This could play out really well for you guys. The Larger Sized Floats should attract "luxury" buyers for their larger pools but you can also show the Float in both a Large Pool setting and At The Beach too! Larger Floats work really well in calm surf beaches such as Florida. Expand that customer base by expanding application.

Well, anyway, I've got to do some fun fun accounting for my end of season book keeping to do. I'll keep an eye on you guys. Have Fun!

This is what we got our little guy (he's 12 months now) for our beach vacation in a couple days. The canaopy is SPF 50, and the seat is adjustable so they can be comfortable.
