I really enjoy this rice protein. You can purchase it on Amazon for $10 less than on the brand's website.

It has 24g of protein per scoop. Blend that with some soy milk or regular milk, with 2 tbsp of peanut butter, and you're easily getting 35g+ protein per shake. The taste is also very enjoyable! I always look forward to these shakes every day. 30 servings per tub, so if you have a shake everyday, it should last you about a month. :)

Edit: Whoops. Just realized this has stevia in it. D:

I was/am a pescatarian, but I've had to eat meat on occasion while on this diet in social settings because often its just really hard to get food you can eat when you're eating out. A lot of the meat substitute stuff has a lot of ingredients, and black bean burgers are out of the question. If its me and my lifetime of IBS issues vs. some meat every now n then I gotta choose me. I'll go back to being a pescatarian after I figure out what groups I'm not good with.

For Protein I'd suggest this rice protein mix with frozen strawberries, a handful of blueberries, and peanut butter.

I mean, you can drink from the bottle (I do every now and then), just be careful as you're getting to the end.

You can buy PET bottles to use for homebrewing, or (supposedly) reuse the larger ones you get from the store. Obviously if they're clear, you want to be extra careful to store them in a dark place, since they'll be more vulnerable to light strike. I have only tried using a PET bottle once, and the beer came out flat as a tack after 3 months, but that may have actually been an error in my bulk carbing. Plastic's main disadvantage, aside from being a PITA to clean without scratching, is that it won't keep the beer fresh as long as glass, but I think a few months is supposed to be fine. You could also buy an SS growler and prime in that.

I actually just picked up a pair of neoprene 6-packs on eBay (like this one, but probably half the cost, and seem well-made) for transporting my bottles, after a rather unsuccessful attempt to bring them to a local homebrewers meeting rattling around in an insulated grocery bag. If glass is actually banned then this won't be much help, but it might solve your problem if you're just concerned about keeping them cold/from breaking during transport.

Dry goods seem like they'd go a long way. What does your access to beans, nuts, and oats/other grains look like? What does your spice selection look like either near you or in Edmonton?

A couple of amazon staples: Wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, sesame oil, herbamare, bullion/broth powder, dried mushrooms, chia seeds

Kits are the best way to learn the basics, cleaning/sterilise importance and fermenting process. Find other beer kits like the IPA linked below at $44 - 5 gallon.

Equipment wise (kit below comes with a block party amber?) the USA doesn't do a pressure barrel like the uk though I did find that norcal do a solution(see links below)

The total cost below is sub-$200 for your first 5 gallon/40pints and will provide you all the tools you need to produce multiple batches in future. This equipment can also be use to make wine and cider. You can also rack your beer to plastic 2ltr or 3ltr pop/soda bottle to age and to easily chill in the fridge.

Once you are confident then you can progress on to the more advanced brewing. Not something to jump straight into. The disheartening experience of your first bad/spoilt batch shouldn't put you off, some can even be saved!

Good luck in your brewing. (Personally I found wine a much more forgiving experience when learning to home brew)

Not sure of the answer on this, but would it help if you found a tastier protein powder? I used to think I hated protein shakes, too, but I had only tried whey and plant-based. I recently discovered egg protein and it's delicious when mixed with coconut milk after a workout. I even look forward to it! I use this one: Designer Protein Totally Egg Protein Powder, Classic Vanilla, 12.4 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BP6M5PT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_y5QRCbB7EA815. They also have a chocolate flavor.

Glad to hear it's incredibly beautiful there, I always pictured Iceland as really peaceful but desolate. How did you end up there if you don't mind me asking?

Too bad about the booze situation. Does Amazon ship there, this might help:

Yeah almost any carbs sets my BG off. I do the Egg White Protein for meal replacement. I am not sure the breakdown per price but I would consider it on the more expensive side. Still it's quick and decent tasting.

Have you posted anything related to a grain or an extract kit?

Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015TDQ5TW/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1

I would think that if you start focusing on essential supplies, and your thoughts on different brews (not reviews, kinda like "Now is the time to start working on those Stouts & Porters for the winter months. Here's something to get you started"), you might start to see some conversions and extra sales.

havent bought any off amazon before, usually those are through other companies. I like going right to the source since they run deals sometimes. Northern brewer, morebeer, adventures in homebrewing, midwest supplies.

i liked this one, its from northern brewer, but since you asked for amazon i found it there.

Like I said, you will need the equipment but here:

http://www.amazon.com/Muntons-Old-Beer-Making-53-Ounce/dp/B001D6MRJM

You could - in theory - just use common kitchen equipment and a 5 gallon water jug...

I just got back from a trip to Michigan (I live in CA) and brought back six 12 oz bottles from Shorts and Founders. I used a [neoprene 6-pack carrier] (http://www.amazon.com/Built-Neoprene-6-Pack-Tote-Black/dp/B0007VP8AY) that was generously padded with all my clothing and packed in the center of my large duffel. All 6 bottles survived, even after TSA opened it and didn't repack it well at all.

My husband regularly travels to Amsterdam and brings back beer from there in a [Pelican case] (http://pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1620) and has never had breakage issues.
