I need these too! I found them!

boots!
these Eileen Fisher booties, which seem like pretty inconspicuous black ankle boots I never thought anyone would notice but for whatever reason people zero in on them and I get complimented whenever I wear them.
Hunter boots. Everyone I talked to said, "Oh, they're so cute. . .but they leak sometimes. They're so great, though!" and I just thought it was ridiculous to buy rain boots that leak.
I bought these Kamik Jennifer boots instead and they're terrific. Low profile, solidly constructed, and super comfortable. I've walked miles in them at a time!
Boots for $24.99, marked high priority!
I️ just bought these boots and while they aren’t real leather they’re comfortable and right at the two inch heel mark. 10/10 I️ would buy in other colors.
These high priority boots :)
I bought a bootbra from amazon to solve my slouchy-boot problems.
I'm her wife. She needs these boots
Okay so first off, be aware that really the only way to wear rain boots in winter in nothern states is with wool socks and even so they can tend to be pretty cold. If you're looking for true winter boots I'd recommend Sorrel.
However, just strictly speaking about Hunter boots. Personally I think they're very stiff and VERY heavy as far as rubber boots go. Also, overpriced. After a lot of evaluation I decided to go with the Kamik Jennifer instead which also comes in a short size the Kamik Jenny. They look very similar to the Hunter boots with the exception that they have a slightly narrower shaft, weigh less than half the Hunters do, have a REALLY cushy insole that's amazing and are made out of a slightly softer rubber. I should have done a side-by-side comparison before I mailed the Hunters and the Jenny boots back, but I preferred the two Kamik styles over the two Hunter styles on the basis of comfort, asthetic, weight, fit and price. Oh, did i mention? They're about a third of the price of Hunters. I haven't had the Kamiks too long, but they're very highly rated and almost all the reviews say they last for years. I haven't seen any reports of Kamiks cracking while I've seen lots of reports of Hunters cracking recently.
So there's my two cents. :)
Thanks so much! Definitely a long way to go, but I’m glad I’m finally getting to make it happen!

boot bra?
Not really bottoms, but I've found a pair of knee-high boots always seems to even out my body and make me look longer and slimmer no matter what kind of pants I'm wearing under them- though I tend to favor skinny jeans since they fit under them more comfortably. I have a pair of loose-fit black skinny jeans from Macys and forest green Gap Corduroy skinny pants.
To go over them, I have a pair of Hush Puppies Alternative boots from Macys (most comfy shoes in the world- period), and these hot Miz Mooz boots. The Miz Mooz boots were on sale for 40% off when I got them on Amazon, and I get so many compliments on them!
I'm short (5'2"), but with this combination, I never feel too pear-y or stubby.
I just bought these Clarks ankle boots and I love them. I also dislike a pointy toe and I really like the look of these. Super comfy, too!

Thanks for the contest. You stay classy.
They don't feel any different from my Kamiks, except they're 3x more expensive and have those little white tags on the front.
Hush Puppies
Dr. Martens - these don't specifically come in a wide-width, but they're sized VERY generously and I highly recommend them as a fellow orthotics-wearer.
Rockport - available in wide-width except for 11
Sam Edelman
Hope you find something you like! I know how tough it is to find nice looking orthotic-friendly footwear.
I'm in love with these Sam Edelman boots, but they are sold out in a 7.5 everywhere I can find. Does anyone know of any similar boots at or under $100 USD?
Fancy!
Wait.. what?
From my wishlist
Over 10K? Fancy!
They're not quite the same, but these petty boots are close.
What about these Cougar booties? It has a traction outer sole and the leather/suede is waterproof as shown in the QVC demo at 3:55. Most of the reviews I came across said something about its odd sizing though so watch out for that. I've been thinking of getting them myself as winter shoes.
Let's see..
Only five! I'm surprised.
they were my 2nd pair of heels. They look great, and I found them really comfortable. To confirm they are the same heels I put a link to them on amazon here
amazon
you might like the sam edelman joey boot? reviews seem to be fairly good, although i don't own a pair myself.
Edit: Links to the actual sales of these babies are all long gone.
Dr Martens Bianca boots in a wine color that’s a little bit closer to being mauve. I got them on the Dr Martens outlet site.
These, but in black
From Amazon.
A flat version of these Eileen Fisher booties that I got at whatever the bargain basement version of Neiman Marcus is
I have these for snow boots, coming from Central New York.
http://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Womens-Ice-Maiden-Winter/dp/B00H7WWN2M
I used to have a pair of Sorel's but the ankle part was cutting into me. These Columbia boots are super comfy, very warm with fluff inside, and have large mobility in the ankle which is unlike most snow boots.
I decided to find a whole outfit.

This contest is so fun. I love this style of clothing so it was fun to create a whole outfit.
[Miz Mooz] (http://www.amazon.com/Miz-Mooz-Womens-Bloom-Knee-High/dp/B003EP3RBC/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_3) These may not be quite what you are looking for but I bought a pair in black last year and wear them all the time. My calf measures 13" and they fit snugly. I managed to get them on sale at $140, making them the priciest pair of shoes I own, but considering how often I wear them I am happy with my splurge and think I will be for a few more years. Happy hunting!
Sure thing, here you go!:)
Check out Sam Edelman Petty ankle boots
[Sam Edelman Petty ] (http://www.amazon.com/Sam-Edelman-Womens-Petty-Ankle/dp/B004I5D2PI) boots in putty suede? I want a sleek, light weight, really comfortable pair of ankle boots. I walk a lot and always fall back on my New Balances but they just aren't sleek. I'm not too worried about the suede because I already have really solid waterproof boots and I'm generally a fan of taupeish color because (I think) it pairs nicely with brown or black.
My main concern is, are the Petty boots just too trendy? I feel like I'm seeing them everywhere right now and the price tag is high enough that I'd like to get at least a year or two of wear out of them. I guess black leather would be a safer choice in terms of being able to blend in but I just don't like them as much.
Over 10K? Fancy!
Thank you for the contest!
Here are the shoes. TBH they'd look pretty great if they had some LEDs in them around the top.

PURCHASES! Woohooo. I never shop for myself, like ever. So this past week I treated myself.
Like hellosaurus said they might be discontinued. But I found a few that are close, not perfect matches but might work if no one else can track them down.

These li'l ladies from Amazon
Here's some, they're not SEVERELY pointed but it's the closest that I've found.
Madden Girls Rancee boot is a little expensive but very worth it in my opinion. (Raleigh, NC winters are milder than most so if protection from snow or cold is a HUGE issue, you might want to find something more lined.) This is an Amazon link but I'm sure you can find it cheaper with some extra digging. Madden Girl Women's Ranceee Ankle Bootie, Taupe Paris, 8 M US https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H7S7TUQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-DxHybY1H4AS2
Also check out American Rag Bunkker boots. At one point I found them for like $23.00 somewhere. They got me through three Indiana winters and I loved them. The fabric on the side is a little corny but if you zip it up it's a cleaner look.
American Rag Womens Bunkker Lace-Up Booties Combat Boots, Black, Size 10.0 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MOLEK3Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DGxHybQP95047
Good luck!

Sam edelman has a few pairs with straighter heels

I got the Petty 2, which unfortunately doesn't come in black and is cheaper for some reason, but it looks like the Petty (which I'm assuming is the one you were looking at) is only 130 on Amazon (some savings, at least?).
Thanks for all your suggestions! I just got a pair of Columbia Ice Maiden II Winter Boots and also a pair of Minnetonka Cally mocs. Here's to toasty warm feet!
Well, it's a relief to know that nothing huge is changing, and I can just shop normally, thank you!
These are for everything, haha! I.e. most things, most days. If it's all the same as last year in terms of fashion, some kind of bootie or combat would work. The shoes have to be fairly comfortable and supportive, and have a removable sole so I can use my orthotics, is all.
For reference, I've worn combats for years... (these, in black). The insides of my last pair fell apart on my feet. To be fair, I wore them every day, in snow, etc. I had the inner sole reglued; the heel cup subsequently came out :/ (The shoe repair person also tried to fix the wear on the outer sides of the heels, which is fine, except ever since, my back's hurt every time I've worn them :/ I think whatever material he used is dense and hard compared to the existing sole.)
I also can't find a replacement that fits well. I got a pair of ankle booties, with a bit less of a heel even Not really relevant to the question of style, but those are also contributing to back pain. No pain whatsoever in running shoes, sandals, or bare feet.
(Back pain wasn't the reason for the orthotics, I don't usually have that at all, so it's very weird. Almost scared to get something else, now :/ and wish return policies accommodated people with foot problems :/)
I think I need a flatter style, probably. But I like having about an inch of extra height :/ My podiatrist liked the combats for me - they had about a .5" differential between heel and toe. May need another visit, to be sure. Or I should get something like a running shoe, except my style isn't that sporty, really :/
Any thoughts on this? Or recs for a booty or combat in a flat style that gives a bit of height?
edit: BUT I'm seeing that the toe-heel differential with the booties is greater than it was with the combats, that's probably it... . Edit 2: I guess they're "granny boots", not combats, technically.
edit: actually downvoted? why, for having orthopedic problems? or for mistaking granny boots for combats? lol
sorry for the distraction, and don't worry: THE STYLES ARE THE SAME, EVERYTHING'S FINE
Amazon.com for cheap docs! I don't know if they are good for winter, since there is no winter in southern California, but they are comfy.
I've been looking for suggestions for keeping my thigh high boots up and keep them from slouching. I can't walk more than 5 feet without them falling down to my knee, and then five more feet and they're below my knee. Not hot.
I've seen a few solutions online:
I would LOVE to hear what has worked for you, any advice you have, any mistakes you've seen.
HELP! Thanks :)
Miz Mooz has some similar boots: here and here
I bought these amazing boots and they are my favorite things ever. They aren't bulky at all. They are lightweight, fashionable, and will keep you toasty warm and dry. I know they aren't cheap but online black friday deals are going to be coming out soon. I got mine on sale and they are worth every single penny. New England winters suck too so, I feel your pain there. I hope you find everything you are looking for!
If you care more about style, as a 101 hipster I can state that I see these everywhere (I can admit to owning about 5 pairs). People either get a waterproof option or spray them with some sealant. They have worked fine for me on light hikes, but it's more about your personal expectations.
