I tried to mix new and old. I am a sucker for the classics tho. The first three are my top pick in that order the rest are things that I thought where good in any order. I linked the version of each I liked to make it easier to find. Most are streaming on Amazon unlimited or Spotify.
I still cry listening to certain songs.

The song 'Hot Shot City' is particularly good.
I'm a HUGE Frank Sinatra Fan. The majority of my favorite Sinatra songs can be found on this album.
!?
PIOYWL!
You neglected to mention Maude Maggart has an album WITH BRENT SPINER!!
No, that's an Import which means it's a grey market reissue. Avoid these at all costs. DOL, Jazzwax, Wax Love and a shit ton of other reissue labels. They DO NOT sound good at all.

This is it.
This One's From the Heart
His CD released with songs he did on DS9. Unfortunately, Avery Brooks didn't do The Best is Yet to Come with him.
Last night I got the 2014 reissue of In The Wee Small Hours. I also own (and have listed to many times) the original 1955 edition.
I'm no expert audiophile, but the first thing I noticed was that with the new one, I had to turn the volume up a bit. Other than that it sounds outstanding. On the spectrum from better to worse here's what I'd say:
1955 Vinyl>2014 Vinyl>CD>Mp3
In comparing these 2014-15 Universal Music reissues to the MoFi ones, it's noticeable that the MoFi are better. Not a dealbreaking difference but if you have to chance to get either, go with MoFi.
Amazon has it of course
I think most people would be perfectly happy with the $15 Sony remaster of Kind of Blue. I just checked and it's actually under $14 right now on amazon.

For someone who wants an all-analog version, the 1977 reissue here can probably be had for $25 and actually sounds better than most of the 1959 OG 6 eye copies I own (almost all of those have a weird pressing issue that causes lots of surface noise).

For me, I collect different pressings of Kind of Blue because I enjoy it. I also have a long-range plan to make some sort of resource for people to listen for themselves (although it would be lossless digital files, not the actual record) to see whether it's worth it for that individual to buy a more expensive edition.

More generally, though, my advice is pretty specific to Columbia records. People that are into collecting different genres and labels likely have other cost-saving tips. Riverside records (jazz), for example, are notoriously expensive. Int he 1970s, Milestone records had bought the Riverside catalog and reissued many hard-to-find records as combo "two-fer" records, where you got two albums for the price of one (not sure if these are remastered from the analog tapes or they still had the metal to do more pressings). These are the best value out there for Bill Evans fans because most people don't know about these. When Milestone released the albums, they changed the names and artwork, so it's not clear that "Spring Leaves" is actually "Portrait in Jazz" AND "Explorations." That one is for sale here for $10 with the seller accepting offers.

I don't have anything against modern reissues, but it can be fun to find older records that are an even better value.
Pre order got released a few weeks ago and they ship RSD weekend!

I'm really not knowledgable in music, so I'm sure someone could give you a much better answer than I ever could, but I'll give it my best shot.
For Sinatra himself, the obvious thing would be to listen to a best of album to get started. An example would be the album titled "Sinatra: Best of the Best" or "Classic Sinatra". I don't think it's well known, but I like the album Watertown.
As far as the genre is concerned, I believe he is technically Jazz or Swing, but if you were looking for a CD at the store you would typically find him in the Easy Listening section. This is what it was at Best Buy.
And finally, you said you like Sinatra type music. This is where I will struggle to give good answers. Some different artists might be Louis Armstrong or Dean Martin. My personal favorite artist, who is inspired by Sinatra - both crooners, is Michael Bublé. If you don't know him, he's a more modern artist. Here is his cover of Sinatra's Come Dance With Me, and an Original song - Close Your Eyes. The majority of his songs are covers of older artists including Sinatra. Very talented. If you have money to blow I believe he is just starting a US tour. If you're still looking for the classic vibe, you're best bet of these three might be Dean Martin (Everybody Loves Somebody).
I hope I helped a little.

Yours because there are endless practical uses for a medieval buckler.
And from mine, this Miles David record because its one of the greatest albums ever made
I love Kevin
I don't know why it didn't occur to me until I read your comment that there would be a CD. Naturally I now need to purchase one. Any one in particular that sounds good, or does this one (first Google result) seem fine?

While it would be nice if the did, they don't have to. There's a CD you can buy, called, "This One's From The Heart," that has most of the DS9 songs, as sung by James Darren. All they need to do is get the rights to the album to make that work.
i'm assuming you mean the vinyl.
just did a little research and the best option seems to be amazon
Angel Olsen Some Things Comic because I'm going to see her Saturday and yay for female artists!
I'd love any format of Who Killed Amanda Palmer? Thanks for the contest!
$12.99 for digital. Deluxe and merch packs are not listed yet.
Edit: Pre-order is now on amazon for $18.98.
Possibly this box set: Broadway, America's Music
Or Broadway Today: Broadway 1993-2005, which looks like it's one disc of that box set.
Is it $100 total for all three? Nonetheless here's mine! I'm not entering, but thought I still do this for fun! :D
For a full size shadow from Shiro it's around $5-6.
I think a vinyl on Amazon is $20-40ish depending on the record.
But I want to give you books I want to read and to be read later on:
I'm pretty sure an eBook on Amazon for kindle is waaay cheaper than getting a printed novel, so you can get quite a handful. Plus, Amazon has free ones too :D
its a pretty awesome cover album. I remember listening to it when I was younger.
This was my favourite song, and there was a Robin williams cover too.

I will likely get this after the holidays, though

|about artist|“We're bringing art back to music and rock back to rock n' roll. We're putting the Devil in a sweet red dress and heels made for cloven hooves and makin' God dance with him until they put their differences aside and make sweet, blasphemous love in plain sight. We know what the people need even if they don't want it yet.” Yep, that's right folks. WH Monks is at it again. When Gay Paris formed a year ago, they were telling anyone in earshot that that they were too sweet for the Devil to lick and too damn hot for God to dance to. Thanks!
Apparently, I have a really loud, rather annoying cough. Fuck it, I'm human.
I'm really not proud that I rather want this CD. xD
I assume you have heard this cd?
Of note: Sean Connery doing In My Life, Jim Carrey, I am the Walrus, and Robin Williams and Bobby McFerrin doing Come Together...
I listen to my fair share of both. Just today, I picked up a Thelonious Monk album along with a used 4-disc compilation of Bach. My wife picked up a similar set of Tchaikovsky a few days ago. Miles Davis' Kind of Blue is on the way and I just picked up Stanley Turrentine's Pieces of Dreams last week for a few dollars.
The classical I put on quite a bit when I'm studying, the jazz is for relaxation and beer time. Not that it's related, but I'm also big into Sinatra and Bennett for my staring-at-the-wall time.
