Amazon! This was my first time ordering any plant online and was super paranoid about purchasing from a third party Amazon seller but everything about it went fantastically. Nicely packaged, good variety (as you can see), and it came with some little decorative ladybugs and a few extra seedlings, a handwritten note, and some care instructions.

We were so fortunate to have received lots of hand me down items from friends and family for baby #1 - the main baby pieces (crib and changing table) were from friends. For decor, we recently moved from a larger apartment to a smaller one and were able to incorporate a lot of our old decor, furniture and plants into babies room.

My husband and I are both park rangers, so I’ve had a lot of “animal” stuff around. We are so happy that we can incorporate it into his nursery.

Favorite items:

  1. National Park prints: https://www.andersondesigngroupstore.com/a/collections/shop-by-product/1850501431345/61-american-national-parks

  2. Stoke crib was a hand me down from a friend whose two daughters I adore. It was so special to receive it from them https://www.stokke.com/USA/en-us/nursery/stokke-sleepi/1043.html

  3. Alphabet stitch: made by my mother in-law 30+ years ago. This hung in my husband’s nursery.

  4. Bear prints above crib: photos that we took in Alaska when we were rangers there

  5. Little wooden animal airplant holders (squirrel and whale): made with scrap wood by my husband

i think it's a retusa; i have the same one (leaf shape, color, and the way the pups are growing in are all the same as yours) and have been trying to get an accurate id on it for a while lol. retusa seems to have slightly less pointy leaves than mirabilis, which is what makes me lean toward retusa, but it's hard to tell because there's some inconsistency with photos/documentation online.

some retusa photos that look like they match:

1.) Something that is grey. This might be a stretch, the cover art is grey!

2.) Something reminiscent of rain. This version of the Bell Jar has rain on the cover.

3.) Something food related that is unusual. If coffee counts as food, then this TARDIS coffee mug is unusual!

4.) Something on your list that is for someone other than yourself. Tell me who it's for and why. (Yes, pets count!) This Kindle is for my grandmother, I am actually saving for it now! I have my own.

5.) A book I should read! I am an avid reader, so take your best shot and tell me why I need to read it! EVERYONE EVER SHOULD READ THE WICKED SERIES. Seriously, Gregory Maguire is probably the most talented author I've ever read, and I've read a lot!

6.) An item that is less than a dollar, including shipping... that is not jewelry, nail polish, and or hair related! EDITED: Not on my WL This dirty and weird sounding Kindle book is free!

7.) Something related to cats. I love cats! (keep this SFW, you know who you are...) I want to get this book for my thesis mentor, she loves cats!

8.) Something that is not useful, but so beautiful you must have it. I would be the belle of the ball in these. So pretty.

9.) A movie everyone should watch at least once in their life. Why? EDITED: Not on my WL but this is a freaking powerful movie that every "rebellious" teenager should watch. Life changing.

10.) Something that would be useful when the zombies attack. Explain. I would stab them repeatedly. And also draw art for them so they regain humanity, thusly ending the zombie apocalypse.

11.) Something that would have a profound impact on your life and help you to achieve your current goals. This book was actually written by my thesis mentor, the one I want to get the cat book for haha, and it would help me finish my thesis which would make me a real grown up!

12.) One of those pesky Add-On items. Don't gots none. EDITED: Not on my WL but extra pesky add on item because they get EVERYWHERE even once you've managed to get them home!

13.) The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why? Already used the paperwhite for my grandma.

14.) Something bigger than a bread box. EDITED: Not on my WL but this is big!

15.) Something smaller than a golf ball. Pretty earrings.

16.) Something that smells wonderful. Plants usually smell nice.

17.) A (SFW) toy. LEGO RON WEASLEY

18.) Something that would be helpful for going back to school. Another book for my thesis reading list.

19.) Something related to your current obsession, whatever that may be. I am simultaneously obsessed with my iphone and Harry Potter.

20.) Something that is just so amazing and awe-inspiring that I simply must see it. Explain why it is so grand. Freaking color changing coffee cups that are Marauder's Map themed! They change patterns with temperatures! IT'S LIKE REAL MAGIC MEISHKA!

BONUS

Something made in Oregon... ME!!!! See my dad's shirt?!?! PROOF!

I've used both etsy and Amazon. The best bunch I've gotten so far was from this seller on Amazon -

Right here! There's a coupon if you're a prime member also :)

...damn. It seemed to be enjoying the fertilizer for a few weeks before the leaves randomly turned like this. I used this organic succulent fertilizer so I figured diluting it to the directions would be enough. Maybe I'll dilute it to half the directed strength next time.

Lots of risky online orders to be honest! Most of the ones in the rectangular pot are from Amazon here, some are from EBay and Etsy, and a handful are from a succulent sale/stores in my area.
Online vendors have actually turned out pretty well, I think less than 5 have died total

Congrats on your new job!

I feel like we have a lot of similar items on our wish lists, but the only item we both have is CAH.

I'm pretty sure you would like the following things from my WL:

  1. Dino earrings
  2. Living stone plant
  3. Dino fossil cookie cutters!

This is the one I ordered from. I wasn’t sure if I was getting 8 or 20. I got 19 lol

I’m sorry the storm also caused you to miss out on Lithops, though! That seems particularly cruel of the universe.

You know, I don't think I knew about that Microsorum. But, I understood that Java leaves need either very high humidity or to be wet all the time? And I've noticed when replanting tanks, they do dry up. But, now I'm seeing conflicting info...

But, I do need something to grow out of the water. I saw these "micro" and it says they are not really miniature (plus most of the reviews for these types of things on Amazon indicated you didn't know what you were going to get until you got it).I was sort of hoping someone here might be able to let me know about a plant similar to the plant on the left of this photo that would be semi-aquatic... https://imgur.com/DwJAIaL

I appreciate your help! (oops, just saw your tag too...)

Believe it or not, Amazon.

That is where my wife got her Living Stones

I don't think they are covered in paint. I did research they are grown with color natually. It says here they are grown naturally with color https://www.amazon.com/Costa-Farms-Indoor-Desert-Decorator-Excellent/dp/B07BC2TPKC
