So I checked out the ((candy bar)) (get it because jews our trying to make us fat xD) and there's legit 2150 calories, and over half a pound of sugar in this shit. There's even a bunch of fat losers on YouTube doing the 'snickers bar challenge.

I'm not going to answer the question, but I have to point out that any business that focuses on ethics at the expense of return on investment is less likely to succeed than "unethical" businesses (including those that are ethical by some other standard). While there is a small market in which consumers will pay a premium for ethical products and services, it is still a minuscule marketplace. This is why these ethical rules need to be enforced by governments: to even the playing field.

Is it safe to assume that your brother is in the military deployed in Okinawa? If so, american candy is readily available on the stores in the base so if you'd like to save room you could possibly leave a little out.

I would recommend sending some ethnic snacks and trinkets which he probably won't see much of in Japan such as Pulparindo or Chili covered lollipops . If he favors more of a standard fair, you could possibly get him some Salt Water Taffy.

If your brother is a beer person you could also maybe get him some souvenir glasses / coasters / or growlers from a local brewery.

Trying to change too many things at once?

What's so bad about enjoying chocolate/chips/junk in moderation? If it's a weight-loss thing, then all you gotta worry about is total calories. If it's just general health, it might be better to change your diet one food at a time. A couple years back, I was able to lose 20lb while having a diet that consisted mostly of junk and restaurant food just by only worrying about my total calories.

Something that seems to drive me towards healthier food is training for something like a half marathon. The farther I get into the training program the more I seem to crave healthy food.

I still crave junk food but it's more a taste thing. For sweets, I found that having a piece or two of 100% dark chocolate https://www.amazon.com/Montezumas-Chocolate-Absolute-Black-Cocoa/dp/B072K1B8VL seems to tide me over for a whole day. I still haven't found a suitable equivalent for when I'm craving something savory.

Also, general advice, you better have a damn good reason for why you want to hit the gym, mediate, do yoga, tidy up, and so on. If it's because that's what "successful people do" then you ain't gonna get anywhere. If you have more internal reasons for them, you're much more likely to be successful with your plan.

My fitness motivation went through the roof after seeing a 400lb coworker struggle walking up just 3 stairs. I'm under 200lb but I could easily see myself becoming him over 20-30 years and I felt viscerally disgusted by the loss of mobility from being 400lb.

I meditated for about a month and half to help with minor anxiety. It worked but my desire to meditate went away with the anxiety. I don't care if some CEO says meditation is required for being successful, to me it's just a waste of time right now.

Water at work is easy if you're an office worker. Fill up a big bottle and drink every time you're bored. I can easily get 8 cups of water before lunch this way.

Hey, you don't see the red bowl with black edging very often. That could really make the right room.

You know, the only time I ever consider buying cigarettes is when I'm curious what a huge ashtray would have looked like in the day.

I've got a 38-cig one that's a porcelain upside-down octopus - the suckers keep the cigarettes apart. But it would cost $10 for two packs to try out, so I'm not going to do that. Another option is these. Then just give the leftovers to kids on holloween. But it won't make smoke and that ought to be part of the picture.

They aren’t crunchy; they basically crumble in your mouth... the chocolate is like the chocolate from the Cadbury Creme Eggs. So delicious! I believe Cadbury makes a crunchy bar too, but I’ve never had it.

Fun fact: you can buy them in the UK section gift shops of Disney World at Epcot (World's Showcase). I bought about 10 of them to take home with me after vacationing there. Unfortunately I ate them all in two days.

Clarkport Pantry on Sheffield used to have a shelf of nothing but British candy but they closed. I was super pissed when I went to see my friend who lives over there and it was boarded up.

It all stems from Hershey's trying to gain a foothold. A lot of foreign products are jacked up on price, but as Seiyu is basically Walmart, and Hershey's is trying to gain a foothold, they are willing to take a loss, to gain brand recognition. Period.

In a couple years, if they catch on, perhaps It'd be better to have them shipped. But actually, I might be getting them cheaper off the shelf than you would at some places in the US right now.

Ok, so I have this candy on my list and I’ll explain why it’s Halloween related this year.

First, I had another pack but when I checked the price had gone up significantly, so I added another. Ok, so I freaking love Halloween. It was my favorite holiday before I had my son. Now Xmas is, simply because I love gifting and seeing people’s reaction when I find them something awesome. But Halloween and the spooky that comes with it has always been so fun for me. As a teen we always made homemade scary movies when all the costume stuff went on clearance. Then I was all about dressing my son up and taking him trick or treating.

But he’s older now. He’s not as into it, and that’s ok. So the last couple years I focused on the candy I passed out. Last year I made goody bags with all kinds of rare-ish candy. (I went online and bought stuff I couldn’t find in store.) I likely spent way too much, and unfortunately we didn’t get near the kids I anticipated, so I had a ton left over. But the kicker was that my son and his friends STILL only went on and on about the house that gave out FULL SIZE candy bars lol.

Anyways, so I caved. I’m giving the kids what they want this year. Full sized candy bars. 😂 My long winded point being that they are Halloween related to me. 😜

1. My new favourite Disney movie is Frozen. I like that it shows someone being utterly herself and shows that as a good thing. If you merely want a large bar and don't care about a hammer, there is a Hershey's bar on Amazon. If the shipping dimensions are a tell, it could be 19"x9". You could use the 'Have a question?' function to ask for the dimensions.

Here. I just checked eBay and I can get it from Japan for the same price. Looks the same to me. Just curious

Eating larger portions of food, anything with lots of carbs and protein, meats like beef, lamb and the such have higher fats. Getting yourself a bag of protein shake powder to make up milkshakes and such can really help, if you have a fast metabolism like I do, get one that is suitable for fast metabolism.

One I might suggest is Optimum Neutrition, you can mix up a milkshake by adding other things into it which will significantly increase the calories you need, but also provide other necessities of neutrition for your body. I'd get yourself a 6 pound tub of Nutella or some other that you can mix into it, mix up with ice cream and full fat milk. As for snacking I'd get yourself Calorie Mate, its about 200 calories per 2 bars, there's 4 bars total bundled as 2's in foil wrapping in 1 box, it's enough to keep you fuller for longer. They come is small box packaging so you can easily have bundles of them stashed away for snacking on, there's a variety you can get, Cheese, Chocolate, Fruit, Maple, Plain, if you've never had them before I'd recommend buying one of each to see which ones you like most, but I personally recommend Maple or Fruit.

It's funny because if you go to the "Also bought" section of the Amazon page for CalorieMate, you can see that MGS items are listed.

My SO and I have now been together for a year as our anniversary was the first of this month. He didn't take her (the dog) to the vet (we were poor), and she was off her rocker for about 12 hours. At one point she dug up the root ball of a banana tree and ate about half of that. Interestingly, this seemed to calm her down a bit.

Ever since I graduated (I went to a really artsy school instead of a production school :( )I feel like I have way more to learn. Like it didn't fully leave me ready for what I want to be so what I'm trying to do is take all these books that are highly recommended in my field and learn as much as I can on my own. Hopefully to inspire me to make better films and really push me in the right direction. Any book would be perfectly fine.


As for munchies. I've been training for a fight for a couple months so my diet has been pretty strict. Fewer calories, no sweets, very low carbs. One week, my trainer goes to Japan to visit his GF and once I found out, I asked him if he can buy me some kitkats. In japan if you guys didn't know, they have a store dedicated to every flavor of kitkat you can think of and me having the biggest sweet tooth, I begged him if he can buy me a box. Since I was still on my diet when he came back, he was holding the candy for me so I wouldn't get tempted to eat it on my own time (I was 13 pounds away from my goal weight). He ended up getting me a pack of Strawberry Kitkats. So one day as he was in his house studying, he walks past the candy and says, "Hey, it's been here for so long, I think I should try one. I got a sweet tooth. There are 12 in the box so 11 will still be a good gift. So after about 30 seconds of having an orgasm in his mouth due to kitkats, he says, "ok one more." The only problem there was, one turned into 11 more. All my sweet precious kit kats are gone! One of the many foods I was planning to demolish after my diet are gone!!! Drops on my knees, lifts my arm and scream NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Sooooooo yeah. Since I don't really have the funds to go Japan I would have to use amazon until one of my friends returns to japan to give me one of those crazier flavors. They have things like mango, chili, red bean, guasabi, green tea, ice cream, pudding and I really cant think of the other ones but its really cool.

But these are the two boxes I have on my list. Either one would be more than perfect. I don't really know exactly what's inside those two packs but I recognize some like apple, strawberry and cheesecake so I wouldn't mind the surprise.

And if anyone else is interested in trying them, just remember they're all mini bars, not the full sized bars you would buy in the store. Sorry for the essay, I hope it was good enough lol. Thank you for the contest.

Trader Joe's usually stocks it cheaper than Amazon, if you have one around.

Yes, it takes some getting used to. I basically trained myself to like it. If you have already cut out sugar for a few weeks it really helps. Once you get used to it though... I don't even like sweetened chocolate any more, it tasted diluted, and this is so much richer and and just amazing. The texture is likely unlike any chocolate you have had, and the taste lasts for a long time.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, I highly recommend trying Montezuma's Absolute Black with Cocoa Nibs ... it's so good !!!

Thanks! a few blueberrys are great for sugary fix, and montezuma do a really great 100% cocoa chocolate I have found it amazing how these high cocoa chocolate bars start to taste really sweet! Everything tastes much sweeter. Looking at your post im guessing your weight and goals are pounds, mine are KGs!! :D
