$210, but they're made in Canada and they'll blow Blundstone out of the water.

Try some dress boots with rubber soles. I recommend the Rockport chelsea boots. Dressy (not too dressy though), and also waterproof.

I got mine for around $35 at Dillards on sale

Thanks! Theyre these Alfred Sargent chelsaes, which I wouldnt pay retail for IMO but are still sweet

They're in the chelsea boot style!

I have these Rockports and they're surprisingly not terrible. They'll certainly get you through a trip to Vegas.

I'd also look at ASOS and the department store brands if you want to keep it on the cheap side, and maybe something like Bexley if you want to spend more.

Which Apple Watch band would go best with the crazy horse leather from my [Canada West Boots](Canada West Men’s Original Goodyear Welt Chelsea Boot- Brown Crazy Horse Leather, US Men 7 https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06XKLJ4ZK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BO31CbQF5BRNF)?

Can I get some opinions on this chelsea boot?

My jeans are usually skinny or slim, is there a better boot out there?

I want to get chelsea boots on sale now for the winter... suggestions? I like these dr. marten in black. The chunkiness doesn't bother me too much... what do you guys think?

I'm currently looking to buy a pair of Jodhpur boots, either black or dark brown like the ones at the link below:

https://www.amazon.com/Southern-Gents-Emerson-Jodhpur-Boot/dp/B0714K3V8V?th=1

I have two parts to my question:

  1. Does anybody have a recommendation for where to buy a pair of Jodhpur-style boots for under $100? The ones in the link I posed cost around $300.
  2. For leather boots, would black or the dark-brown color as seen in the pair above be a better choice? I'll probably wear the boots with jeans, possibly blue but often black jeans.

I am in the process of buying my first chelsea boots.

What do you think of these: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01N7Z6ZZS/?coliid=I2BDTYKLM3CVWF&colid=EK09X186E7KN&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1

I like that they're narrow and have a zipper instead of elastic. But I'm worried they look a bit cowboyish and that isn't the look I'm trying to go for.

Do you think they have the shape of cowboy boots and give off a cowboy vibe?

Alternatively, there's these: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B06XC9C6YK/?coliid=IYXK7OJ3K8Q2F&colid=EK09X186E7KN&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

But they're more expensive.

I don't want to spend much on my first pair. Because I never get it right when I first buy anything.

I live in Seattle and I'm looking for shoes I can walk to work in during the winter. It often rains here, but the rain is almost always very light, and it rarely snows; I think the heavy boots often recommended by MFA for winter would usually be overkill (and not very comfortable to walk in).

I've been trying to look for boots with a slimmer profile, but it's hard to tell how well they'd handle continuous light rain. Would these Chelseas hold up? If not, what styles/brands should I be looking for? Fortunately, budget isn't much of an issue, although I'd prefer something in the $200 range.

The Clarks Clarkdale Gobi are awesome quality. Very stylish Seude Chelseas for under $200. I got mine from Amazon. Clarks Men's Clarkdale Gobi Chelsea Boots, Olive Suede, 10.5 M US https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N6PM4HN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bVfHDbC6KECER

Thinking of getting a pair of black Barbour Chelsea boots:

Barbour Mens Farsley Smart Leather Black Work Office Ankle Chelsea Boots - Black - 9 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LXOO3SD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_7HbmDbQMHHJNA

Any recs for other Chelsea boots that are less than $150, or does anyone have any experience with these? Ideally they can't be too smart.

u/Philosofox · 1 pointr/FrugalMaleFashionCDN

FWIW there are also cheaper ones on Amazon depending on your size. Sorry I snagged the only black 10 for $115.

Edit: If you're size 11 there's a pair for $83.70!

Another note on boots....I personally hate lace up boots in Minnesota for day to day use. Like someone said earlier, you'll take them off when you go in someone's home. You'll spend a good 5 minutes taking them off and another 5 putting them on. Find a pair that you can easily slip on and off. I got a pair just like these 2 years ago, they work perfectly

Also find sweaters like these

This brand provides nice warmth without a ton of weight...IMO it allows you to kill a layer or two.

I have (what I believe are) the mens version of those because I have weirdly shaped feet in the gaucho leather, they're ridiculously comfortable

I use Sneaky Steves, really durable and comfortable.
