Rice and beans are life. I love to just saute an onion and garlic in oil. Then throw in some cooked brown rice. Season the rice with your favotire spices. Then dump 1,2,or 3 cans of black beans in there. Mix it all up and your good to go. I like to eat mine with salsa tho and these chips. If you are feeling really fancy you can saute up some onion, peppers, and/or mushrooms. Maybe slice up an avocado.

It's one of those things that people tend to forget about. Finding a recipe should be easy and it's a really easy process. Everyone's recipe is a little different. Some people like more Worcestershire sauce, some don't like the peanuts. I always add some Gardettos.

I think the easiest thing is to just keep it simple. Veggies and hummus are some of my favorite. These are really delicious if you like a good crunch. I also recommend this but only if you buy them in the store. The amazon price is totally ridiculous.

I have these delicious cheese and onion chips in my Food/Snacks wishlist... they're the most addictive thing ever!

shrimp chips. These you fry up yourself, but they are super good! Use very hot oil (I use grapeseed, but you can use your favorite), and they cook really fast, like 3 seconds! Fry just a few at a time unless you have a fancy fryer basket.

dried seaweed. I eat these suckers right out of the package, but you can tear them up and top stuff like noodles or soups with them too.

dried squid. These are addictive, they come in a non-spicy version too.

This stuff probably has a ton of salt and probably msg too, but I'm not allergic to msg and I love the stuff.

It isn't even that hard to do if you really want to.

You can find tortillas on Netrition that are perfect low carb recreations. You can't tell the difference with 70 - 90% fewer carbs. The same goes for products like Beanitos chips which you can eat with cheese and salsa without blowing your carbs away. They are roughly 8 - 10 carbs for 20 chips by weight.

My "diet" goes:

Breakfast: Belgian waffle, Walden farms maple syrup, whipped topping, and strawberries.

Lunch might end up being a chocolate chip Know Foods cookie and strawberry Bai (Snapple type) drink.

Dinner is anything from a burger to steak made into fajitas. With bread, tortillas, chips, rice, pasta, and on and on made keto (low carb) friendly you don't have to suffer through giving up everything you like to eat. You just need to change what it is made out of.

Take sugar as the core example. It is in everything you buy from soup at the store to ketchup you're putting on fish. You can replace it with a Rare-5 sugar like Allulose instead. It is organic completely natural, isn't connected to gut fermentation or problems, and generally appropriate for all ages. I made a chocolate pie for dessert the other day all while keeping keto.

I got a graham cracker style crust off of Netrition along some boxed chocolate instant pudding (made with alcohol sugar) and combined that with whipped topping and strawberries. It was awesome with zero baking and very little mess. Everybody loved it. Note: Alcohol sugar won't impact your sobriety. It is named for the process that makes it.
