I'm too clumsy to even stuff a cone well, so I made this cone in Fusion 360 and printed it on my Ender 3.
It's really nice to be able to stuff the cone without worrying about it collapsing. The cap at the top holds up the edges so you don't accidentally fold them down, and I put notches in it so you can pull it out easily. I was able to stuff a bunch of joints while sitting out in the wind no problem today.

I've been a weed smoker for perhaps twenty or thirty years and hand rolled "smokes" cannot compare to a smoke rolled with a purpose made utensil.
Take small puffs and don't hurl on it like tobacco. cannabis smoking is more effective and pleasant when not smoked like a tobacco cigarette and rather more like a cigar. small puffs, roll the smoke mix and inhale with fresh air so the smoke doesn't burn. Directly inhaling cannabis smoke without cooling smoke before inhaling fresh air to dilute the cannabis smoke will make even the most seasoned cannabis smoker just exhale largely wasting the benefits of it all.

The equipment or kit you use to roll or smoke with can also greatly improve or ruin the enjoyment and experience. after switching to rolling with that raw brand smoke roller and 110 mm papers (standard rolling papers like zigzag whites are around the length of a regular sized cigarette without the filter tip) the difference compared to using shorty fingertip rolling papers from the corner store was worlds apart.
Smoking a king size tobacco cigarette just makes me feel ill but a 110 mm king size cannabis cigarette rolled in hemp paper doesn't make want to vomit or instantly cough.
One other tip again also involves preparation before rolling. Pickup a small electric coffee bean grinder from a kitchen supply store. makes quick work of bud mashing and the consistency always turns out similar to tobacco which greatly improves smoking quality and enjoyment.
Practice is the only way to get good. I would recommend picking up a rolling machine such as this one. Saves a ton of time and headache.

You could always try a joint rolling machine and see if you like that. Im so bad at rolling, but using the machine works like a charm I find. An extra $2-3 just for them to roll it for you is quite steep when you think about it, and the machine pays for itself after 4 uses at that rate.

I use one of those RAW Rolling Machines as I very rarely smoke joints but sometimes they're necessary for parties or events. My hand rolling technique is trash and they come out looking like a joint from the 70's so this setup is pretty great for uniform size and shape results.
My cop out suggestion is to get a joint roller on amazon. They take a little trial and error (the first time i used it [4] i made it explode and my weed got all over me) but once you get it right it makes perfect

I mostly vape. I also have a bong. I don't usually smoke canons/cones. I can roll by hand, and do, if I'm rolling something big, but for just myself and my girlfriend, I just use the RAW 1 1/4 papers and roller with the cellulose filters.
I do not use tobacco. Only smoke straight green.
I do rehydrate now, only in the last few months. Never used to. Always just picked up and smoked right out of the bag.
It does make it easier for rolling a burns a bit smoother IMO.
With the roller, you pack the weed in with a filter, close it shut, spin it and it will compress the weed to the same side/shape as the filter. Once you've rolled and compressed, slide in the edge of a paper, start spinning the roller and it will pull the paper in and wrap it around the weed and filter. Open it and you have a perfect "cigarette" every time.
When rolling cone, larger joints, cross joints, etc... I like to use something to roll the paper with, a pen, a rolled up sheet of white paper, etc... To make it easier to hold the shape. Roll the paper around whatever I'm using and stick it to create a hollow cone/tube. Then I slip a paper filter/tip from the top, down to the bottom and let it unroll itself a bit to fit the open, then fill the weed in from the top. Different people have different methods. My "hand roll" method is a bit unorthodox and "assisted" but a lot easier than fumbling weed everywhere. If that's. It an option, just use the fold in a pack of paper to hold and fill with weed, then tuck/roll a corner and spin it between your fingers, similar to what the roller does.
I prefer to use the rollers though.

Loose filters can be a number of problems. Too small of a filter being the easiest thing to blame it on. If you roll straights it can be hard to make the filter stay in, I usually try to keep the filter rolled as tightly as possible and pinch it between my fingers when rolling so it will expand to fit the paper when I let go, I sometimes rip gum tips off papers and use the glue to keep filters in when I'm having trouble. Alternatively if you roll straights, I find rolling cones really makes the filter sit better, as well as smoking better. If all else fails a raw rolling machine (I bought mine couple years back at my local headshop couple years back for something like 4$, and its never failed me) is a great investment for really cheap and wont break on you anytime soon. If you load one of these with about a .8 of rolling batch and a pretty fat filter it will roll you something that is extremely similar to a brand name somke in both look and feel. buy a pack of Randy's to learn with. The wire in it makes it easier to learn rolling technique. They arent the greatest but do the job and it has the built in roach holder. Or get this and a grinder and they work awesome
For cost savings, maybe try rolling your own. As I understand it, there are different levels of it, where the more skill you have the less complicated the tools are. You can freehand roll them, use a plastic machine

I dont know about cigarette injector, but before I learned how to roll joints I had bought a raw roller. It makes flawless joints and it's really quick. this is the one I got. You can get a 1 1/4 size and a king size. But now I roll my joints faster. It just takes practice man.

But if you're wanting something now you can always use 2 pencils, wrap the paper around one, lick it and seal it like you're rolling up the pencil and then push the paper up the pencil and pack the weed into it with the second pencil until the paper is full. It’s a filter and there are tons of videos that you can find to show you how to do it but it takes a lot of practice. I prefer cones because it’s super easy. People that roll traditional joints will probably tell you that their way is better but I subscribe to, do what works best for you.

Machines that produce only one cigarette at a time are not considered "automatic".
As soon as you attach some means of having the machine (rather than a person) attach a second, third, fourth, or Nth tube... then it is considered "automatic" (even if it is not powered by a motor) and is determined to be "manufacturing".
So, AFAIK, these things and these things are even these "electric" ones are all considered "A-OK" because they can only "fill" one tube at a time, and a human has to "insert/attach" a new tube for each cigarette made.
It's really NOT that big of a deal -- once you get used to the process, you can easily make a day's worth of cigs (say a single pack worth or 20 cigs) in about two to three minutes -- probably about the same amount of time most people spend everyday prepping a pot of coffee from their home coffee maker (and certainly less total time than people spend if the coffee maker isn't setup on a time, and you include waiting/brewing time).
Think about rolling your own -->smoke real tobacco. 4,800 industry cig chems will be out of your system in a week. Perks. Save $. Less time standing in line. ps I'm not trying to sell anything.

As far as rolling a joint goes if you don't have the patience to master doing it freehand you can always get a rolling machine. They are sized to fit a particular size of paper so be sure the roller and papers are the same size.

I’m not sure about at Ganjika or the OCS but at the Wee Smoke Shop in dt Brampton you can buy rollers. The brand is Raw and it’s no more than $10. It’s a little contraption where you put the weed into it and a filter paper, then you just close it, feed a rolling paper through, give it a twist, lick the paper and you have a smokeable joint. (Not the prettiest or best roll but it’s fast and small and convenient). Here’s a link to it on Amazon

Anything "RAW" in that case. Without spending too much money I'd suggest a raw rolling tray, raw papers (1 1/4 size is what most people roll with), and some tips! If he has a difficult time rolling his own joints you could always get him a rolling machine. They're pretty cheap.

Invest in a cheap glass one hitter if you really can't roll. Or buy one of these. It works similar to those little plastic rolling machines except it's easier to carry around, and you can control the width/length of whatever you're rolling.

If you get a pack of the RAW filter tips (not the perforated ones, the brownish ones that are usually like $1 -THESE) and roll it up REALLY tight itll fit inside the condenser. Stick it inside
After that, take a Qtip and clip off one of the cotton tops. Use the stick then to puh the filter through the dynavap. When it comes out, the filter paper will have pushed most of the oil and absorbed very little.
To clean the bowl piece use any thin piece of metal, some pocket knives have good parts on them for that.

Have you looked at rolling your own? I was smoking a pack a day at about $6 a pack so around $180. I bought a cigarette stuffer, tubes (these were the best I found personally), and tobacco and got that down to $1 a pack $30 a month. It can be more expensive if you go with really expensive tobacco but I just went with gamblers or something like that and it tasted fine to me.

It's hard to explain until you have the machine in your hands, but you can roll just as tight or as loose as you want by applying a little finger pressure to the bars. You'll see.

You should get a joint/cigarette roller like this one . It’s great for shaky hands because it does all the work for you. They are also cheap. One of these would help you so much!
Idk about blunts, but I do know joints.
For joints, the #1 mistake that I've learned not to make is to roll it/pack it too tightly. If you roll it or pack it too tightly, that joint will be running like a mf. It took some time for me to feel what is an overly packed joint.
Basically, if you squeeze it and it doesn't budge nearly at all from how tight it is, it will start running.
To avoid this problem, I do this: After I roll the joint, I twist 1 end. If I feel that it is too tight, I start rolling the joint in my fingers to loosen it, it's okay if a little weed falls out. It is kind of difficult for me to describe when a joint is not overly packed/too tightly rolled but also not "loose" either.
Again, basically if your joint is so tight that it feels like a candle stick and will not "give" when you squeeze it, you need to do the loosening technique. An under-packed joint should be obvious as weed will be able to slide up and down the joint.
Here is the joint roller that I use. It took some practice to learn how to roll good joints that weren't too tight or too skinny, but once I learned how to roll joints well with this, I never rolled by hand again.

Try a rolling machine (Amazon). I've given up on hand rolling. Honestly even the rolling machine was a pain in the ass for me to get right (took me like 20 attempts after watching a REALLY simple youtube video) but eventually I got it right.
The thing I figured out was that the herb needs to be somewhat dense for it to roll right. I only like to smoke a little at a time so I didn't want to fill the entire joint.
I fixed that by cutting a piece of a plastic drinking straw and stuffing it with rolled up filters. I put the straw at one end of the roller, and the (actual) filter at the other, that way I can pack herb into the open area tightly without using too much.
Now that the herb is packed in nice and tight, I roll it up, seal it, and kind of pinch the straw out of the joint and twist it up. They come out a little pathetic looking but who gives a shit? They smoke really nice and it's the perfect amount.

Besides the obvious quitting, the way way I got by on smoking on a budget was by getting a nice electric tube injector and packing my own cigs. Expensive investment but it saved me a fortune in the long run. Once I found a few types of tobacco I really liked, I blended them together and ended up liking that much more than factory made cigs. They had less of the other chemicals in them too which made it a lot easier to transition off of when I finally decided to quit. Switched to vape, lowered the nicotine over a few months, and now I'm basically completely quit, besides the occasional cig or cigar when I'm out drinking with friend.

Regular paper doesn't work very well. Rolling papers are thin and porous to burn more evenly, and sometimes they have (safe-ish) additives to affect how they burn, too. They're mostly unbleached (or less bleached than regular paper, at least) so you're not inhaling residues from that process. So they're always going to look and feel a little different than regular paper.
You can get really big papers, if that's what you're after, but they usually sell them individually.
A lot of people recommend tearing pieces out of a bible, apparently they work alright. (Though personally I'm not sure about the ink.) Generally you might be better off hollowing out a book to stash regular rolling papers in than trying to use something else for that purpose.

This is the easiest way to roll a joint I've found. Just roll a crutch and slide it into the bottom of the orange tube. Then wrap a king size paper around the tube and the top of the crutch and seal it. This allows you to pull the cone cleanly off of the orange part. Then you put your cone on the clear part, and put ground herb into the top. You can shake it around, or use the orange part to pack it down.

I recommend the Cone Artist, a great alternative rolling device.
I too have issues with my hands and I found a thing on Amazon called The Cone Artist for about $7 that really helped me. It's two pieces that fit together to give you a cone shaped mold to roll your paper around with a recess to hold a crutch. After you've formed your cone, you can slide it off, pack the funnel, and fill accordingly. Super simple and mine has lasted for a couple years now. Someone on this reddit turned me onto the Cone Artist cone roller, it is awesome! It does what this pencil does, but then also helps with loading it up.

Seriously, though, the savings from your first rolled carton alone versus a bought carton ($~13 v. $~80 here) will pay for a good injector.
Now even when you're slow about it, an injector like that's going to let you roll a full 200 cigarettes in about 40 minutes.
So if you're among the select few out there who can get away with valuing an hour of their time at over $100 ($67/40*60=$100.50), this might not seem too appealing an idea. Since it's only a tiny minority who get anywhere close to that and the largest portion of the population makes closer to a tenth of that, I thought it would be worth mention.
