Actual military member here. We use shirt stays (I think normal people call them garters). Uncomfortable, but you'll look crisp as can be. I recommend the stirrup style rather than the clip/clasp style to prevent being snapped if they come undone. I've known Marines to wear 8 shirt stays at once to look sharp for special events, but one pair should work well for a regular civilian wearing pants.

The stirrup kinds less so. They also won't snap off and hit you in the nuts.

Charcoal filters.

You can get them for your air vents (especially over intake vents), and also for your roommate's butt.

Dishes of coffee beans or fresh-ground coffee work to absorb odor and release faint but pleasant scent (assuming you like the smell of coffee beans). You can make an attractive dish of coffee beans with an unscented tea light in the middle for your bathroom (and the candle doesn't even have to be lit for it to work, but it can help!), and put a dish of fresh-ground coffee beans behind the toilet. Put the coffee-bean candle things everywhere in your apartment. Change the beans every month or so.

Get some leafy plants throughout your space. They can help too.

The stirrup versions are infinitely better.

PRO TIPS: If the O-ring slips sideways, you have them too tight. The adjuster will tear out your leg hairs throughout the day unless you wrap it in a bit of tape. Use electrical tape because it's smoother and the adhesive wears off quicker from any hanging edges.

They are pretty tough and last forever.

Option B: just adjust the grip strength of the shirt stay clasp.

It takes about 5 seconds to complete. Inspect the metal clasp that attaches to your shirt or your sock. You should see that one of the pieces is bent into a kind of L shape. To increase the grip strength, bend that inside piece so that it's more perpendicular.

This can be done by opening the clasp, inserting a thin piece of hard material (like a small metal nail file) through the back of the clasp, and then closing the clasp slightly. Small changes can have very large effects; don't overdo it.

Note that I'm talking specifically about this style of shirt stay. They only cost about $10 and they last for years with everyday use. You just need to tighten them from time to time as the elastic gradually stretches.

There arent any near me otherwise I would just go look at it just to see WTF is up with the price tag to quality ratio. Cle De Peau is pretty ballsy with their make up pricing but its actually fantastic. But leave it to Karen at make up and beauty blog to take the hit for us. • For newer old school, jasons mask with a fake knife, or freddy's hand would work well.
  
  Note if you are thinking about decorating the tables some fake old film reel sections like this could even have the props sitting on old film reel would work well to tie all the tables together.

Tips:

• Get a sharp knife. There's nothing worse than trying to prep food with a crappy knife. I use that chef's knife for 99% of my cooking, and it will last practically forever. Get it sharpened once/year and you're good to go.
  
• Plan what you want to cook in advance, and keep your pantry stocked with basics so shopping just means buying fresh meat and produce (and re-stocking as needed).
  
  
  Quick recipes/ideas:
  
  
• Mac and Cheese. Mix in whatever you want (veggies, chicken, etc.) for a full meal.
  
  
• Tomato Soup, really good with a grilled cheese or simple sandwich on the side + a quick green salad
  
  
• Generally - I use a slow cooker a ton (especially in the winter) to prep food that will be ready when I get home from work (or when I finish my run, whatever). Easy way to make a bunch of good food that's ready when you are.

HEY OH! Well with guys set in their fashion, it can be difficult to shift them one way or another. One possibility is to purchase some pjs that you think would look good and are comfortable. Like these for instance. In some seriousness, some comfortable sweat pants and t-shirt would be the perfect mix of bedtime and company-"appropriate".

Yes, it helps, but I would not rely on it for a marathon in the rain. The most common solutions I've seen recommended here, that I have also tried myself, are NipEaze and Transpore tape. Squirrel's Nut Butter also gets a lot of recommendations.

A few months back there was some talk about the Golden Fox moc toe boots, you can find them on Amazon. I never really felt comfortable with the range of reviews or the quality of the leather so I decided to wait.

With winter approaching and being a student on a budget, I'm in desperate need of boots that aren't a high price, even though I'll be giving up some quality for it. You might just be looking for some Shirt Stays. They're a must-have in the Military, but they work wonders for keeping your shirt tucked in in the civilian world as well.

You attach one clip to the front, one clip to the back, and repeat for the other side. Then, when you put the shirt on you just slide the stirrup through your foot, and then put your pants on.

Here's a cool fat guy hack for you in tackling the "shirt won't stay tucked in thing" in the future if you ever do need to keep it tucked in: shirt stays. I went many years without learning about those and wish I'd known about them much, much earlier. This thing might work too (never used one though).

Shirt stays kept our uniforms looking puff free while I was in the service.

I see people buying relatively small numbers (6.5EE and 7D). Any chance you'd explain to me what those letters mean and what size I should probably get? It's not an easy find. I've been through more than I care to admit. I think the best pair I've ever had were from a small independent men's store. Check those in your area. I've also found okay ones at Army/Navy stores (they had them behind the counter). I've got these off Amazon, and they're shit. The foot loop ones always slide off my foot, so I don't use those. These are the type that I always use.

Surprised nobody's mentioned shirt stays. They might be annoying to put on if you need to wear dress shirts every day but the fact that they keep your shirt tucked in at all times means the amount of 'bagginess' you experience will almost always be nonexistent when you wear these. These are the ones I got years ago and they still work like a charm. I say try these before you go even go to a tailor

I went to buy a pair of socks off for $12 from Blue Q. AWESOME. Then go to checkout and find out, they have a minimum order of $15. Which makes sense since majority of all their socks are under the $15 minimum.

Add 2 stupid packs of gum that I do not want. Then find out I am forced to make an account to checkout. Finally get to the end and find out it is $7.10 for 3-5 day snail mail for a pair of socks. I know damn well it does not cost $7.10 to put a pair of socks in an envelope.

When all is said in done, final price is $22.67 for a $13.00 pair of socks. Saw it on Amazon for $12 with free 1 day shipping.

But at this point I was so annoyed with the company I decided I don't want them getting any revenue from me. So decided just to not buy the item all together.

That's just it though. I haven't seen any actual cases where it seemed like someone was being experimented on. All I have seen is folks who are naturally mentally ill or have fried their brains through excessive drug use. They have no proof and they don't really seem to want to obtain it either. If I was being "gangstalked" and some of the shit people say is happening to them was happening to me I would have rock-solid proof in about a week. If it's just voices in your head, obviously that is much harder to obtain proof for but that kind of thing has been going on since people evolved brains in the first place. Long before electro-magnetic fields were ever discovered. They just used to think it was a curse from a witch or something like that and it's always the same textbook symptoms. The voices are never nice, they are hateful and paranoid. If I was the government and I was putting thoughts in peoples heads it would be nice thoughts to keep them placated and docile. It seems like it would be kind of tough to direct those energy weapons so precisely over such distance too. When people are complaining about microwave towers and such why is it not the whole community being affected? It's always just one or two specific folks who seem touched in the head. I just have not seen any of those folks who look like they have anything more than run of the mill schizophrenia. I do feel bad for them.
