That's a great book, but I wouldn't suggest it for beginners. It's a bit small for a first time scorer. I'd personally go with something like this.

This is a pretty generic/traditional one. It's what I grew up on.

If you want something a little more modern/hip you could go for this from Eephus League. I have it and enjoy it. A little higher quality/pricier but not unreasonable.
