Here is the product. I would have bought it but that shipping price!

Yes! It's a garment rack. I saw so many beautiful set ups on Pinterest and have used all the other shelf/floor spaces in my house already lol so I nabbed this to try something different.

Just got it a week ago and I can't wait to add another viner + smaller plants on the bottom. She will be full in no time 😈

In addition to what u/bubblymimosa said:

  • As to the plants, Snake Plant and Pothos do very well as beginner plants indoors with low light. Get some organic soil like FoxFarm that has plenty of airy-ness to it. You've got lots of space on top by the windows for other plants that need more light like Croton or String of Pearls.
  • Add a standing coat rack like this one between the edge of the door when it's fully open and that first filing cabinet instead of the small hooks?
  • Get some thin pillow inserts and get some pillow cases with personality (that fits you, of course) to place on the backs of the chairs. Ikea has a good selection at good prices.
  • See if you'd be allowed to put up removable wallpaper. It's generally peel and stick and you'd just peel it again to get it off. Nothing terrible like wallpaper horror stories. Like at Spoonflower (the woven kind), or at Chasing Paper.

I'd pick a color scheme you like or a statement piece you adore and use the colors off of that in the rest of your decorating.

Over the door hooks for jackets or scarves or purses or towels or robes or aprons depending on the room. I find apartments suck for storage and those are lifesavers! Plus its nice to have what I use all the time accessable but put up. These are awesome

I think that everyone could really use a coat rack. That one is pretty cute but they have all kinds! It's a useful and cool looking thing to stick in a corner, especially if you live somewhere cold.

We have a coat tree next to the front door as we have no closet. No. Closet. It looks similar this one. Hats on the very top, scarves and coats on the bottom row.

  1. This, of course. While I am no dummy, it always helps to study and what better thing to help with the studying of the proper use than knowing how to properly fill it up? Study study study, they say!
  2. I need a place to set my drink, and I can't lie. That wouldn't be nice.
  3. If I have one of these, then nobody has an excuse to not come over because they all have places to hang.
  4. For this one, we're magical, yes? So of course we need to float.... or at least appear to. Having things within reach is always helpful, and not having to remember to release the spell is even better. Can't leave something magicked up all day, can we? So let's use a little muggle magic, sleight of hand in a way.
  5. Sidestep! Why not have a little humor? Or disguise? It's still a trunk, after all.... Also good for blowing raspberries at people.
Bonus: Well, I need something to hold it on, right? Right? Howe can I be expected to glide about the halls without grabbing like crazy? I've tried before, it's annoying.

    Mischief managed!

Three is definitely better; as you say, shit happens. I just don't want you rushing out to buy a bunch of crap because you have to. Crazy-good suits can be had for cheap if you wait for sales or eBay, so I'm just encouraging you to play the long game.

Hanging in either is fine. I've long wanted a valet stand or preferrably this exact chair for hanging clothes when I get home. In fact, on these hot summer days I'll often take off my pants (no suits for me, biz-cas) and hang the waistband over my fan to air them out for a while. Ghetto, yes, but effective. Just make sure the suit isn't squished into an over-crowded closet and air can move around.
