These travel kits are also great, especially for longer trips. All the sizes are TSA friendly and the spray bottles are great for FTEs/toners/mists.

I feel like I've been super quiet around here lately.

Life is status quo for the most part. Mom's Parkinson's is getting worse... which sucks as you can imagine. Deep brain stimulation looks to be the next step. Fun times.

I got my set of travel bottles from Amazon for my AB stuff, so I won't be without my ceramides, cleansers, and sunscreen.

Still need to figure out what to wear. I'm leaning toward one of my bleach shirts from /u/BrigidAndair. Love those things.

I always use these travel containers: Nalgene Travel Kit (small).

These containers are sturdy, leak-proof, BPA free and dishwasher washable! They come in various sizes with different colored caps, so it's a win-win!

Oh no, even the real thing is “vintage” 😭

I got a bunch of these and am able to squeeze a whole bunch into a quart size plastic bag. They take up minimal space, don't have sharp edges that rip bags like travel size bottles, and are cheap as well. It's replaced almost all my travel bottles for liquid toiletries.

I also got some of these nalgene bottles and use the large one for mouthwash and small one for cologne.

I bought the Nalgene Travel Kit Small off Amazon for $9. It came with quite a few small bottles of various sizes.

I have a travel bottle lanyard for going to the showers. It’s great, you can just hang it from the shower head and not worry about fumbling around for your little shampoo bottles. The one I linked is the one I have and it’s $20, but here’s a cheaper one that I found today.

I think you're on the right track, but if the parents are strict an opaque organizer that fits in a drawer might be a better idea - for example, this one or this one. Out of sight, out of mind and all that. Plus, you can pass it off as "a bag". ;)

Also, a basic skincare routine is a good idea for everyone, but especially makeup users - at the very least, you need to take the makeup off at the end of the day. Encourage her to use some of her gift cards to get a makeup remover (micellar water is a cheap and effective option, Garnier for example has a well-liked one), a hydrating cream/lotion/essence and some sunscreen.

There are tons of options: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=insulated+medication+travel+bag+tsa+approved&crid=1UGZFKEHQTPF2&sprefix=insulated+medication+%2Caps%2C1133&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_21

I personally used this one: https://www.amazon.com/Icy-Cools-Neoprene-Insulated-Medicine/dp/B0089SFJLU/ref=sr_1_19?crid=1UGZFKEHQTPF2&keywords=insulated+medication+travel+bag+tsa+approved&qid=1571587093&sprefix=insulated+medication+%2Caps%2C1133&sr=8-19

It worked fine. I froze the insert until we left for the airport and was visiting family so I could refreeze it for the trip home. I had zero issues with TSA despite me alarmingly and repeatedly telling them directly I had medications and syringes the first time. They just waved it off and didn't even look or ask. I was flying TSA Precheck as well so they don't require you to take any liquids out anyway. I kept the original prescription labels with my name on them just in case there was any questions.

I thought carrying it with a short wrist strap would be a hot look.

I got this for myself for Christmas a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it. It only fits about 30 albums, so I have to keep the rest on a shelf, but it’s awesome for transport and storage of the records that I use most. Here’s the amazon link if anyone wants it.

I bought a cheap brush from Walmart that I just threw in my bag. Though they do sell brush guards!

u/pharyngula · 3 pointsr/onebag

I use the small screw-top nalgene tubs. Never a leak, even when it gets warm enough to be liquid.

Makeup isn't the hard one for me, skincare is. But here's the makeup I like to pack:

  • Elta MD SPF44 Physical tinted suncreen (this is like my bb cream)

  • Anastasia Liquid Glow

  • A small Z-Palette with 9 neutral matte eyeshadows from my large Z-Palette of Viseart shadows - one will be black and that will be my eyeliner

  • UD Pervision Mascara in the travel size

  • Nars Eye Primer

  • UD Naked Concealer

  • Glossier Cloud Paints in Dusk and Haze

  • Nars Laguna Bronzer

  • KVD Liquid Lipsticks in Lolita and Double Dare

  • Anastasia Brow Definer

  • A RT little purple sponge

  • Brushes: Mac 217, Mac 224, MAC 239, RT Metals angled eye brush, RT Blush brush

BTW I bought one of these the last time I went on a trip to hold all my brushes, pencils and anything cylindrical that will fit. Its super helpful if are somewhere where you don't have a lot of space because it will keep your tools organized and in one place.

I don't think there are "cheap" and good looking ones to buy...I have looked for the same. The smart looking airless pumps on Amazon aren't cheaper than Muji, but I am a fan of airless pump. I had some products that used airless pump from long time ago that I repurpose. They kind of look like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0722K8LKJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3ImUAbC7ZP27F

Except mine are silver. So best bet would be to find some nice products that have similar bottles, use it up and reuse the bottle so you don't feel like you're paying extra for plastic. I use these for liquid toner products and decanting that SCINIC honey jar.

For the creams I use contact lense cases and those tiny eye cream pots.

That's good looking setup, and believe my wife uses an almost identical bag for her glitter tattoos. I see a lot of people asking about that case in the comments so here is hers. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072J9JVZ1/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_3BHXCb23K8E5M

I think this is kind of cool . I'm always getting mascara below my bottom lashes.

I want these for practice !!!

These are another thing I think we could all use !!

u/esseffgee · 2 pointsr/CampingandHiking

Oh wow, I'll have to give these a go. I've been using a few of the Nalgene Travel Bottle Kit bottles for olive oil, hot sauce, etc, and soda bottle pre-forms for batteries and some other stuff. But they're too big for most things like seasoning/spices, and not big enough for stuff like pancake mix.

u/chrispoole · 2 pointsr/onebag

I use Nalgene travel bottles, moisturizer in second from right. Never dries out, never had a leak... they work great!

u/smalls216 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Ok to be honest I have no clue what the blocks are used for?? Please enlighten me. I think it's great that your daughter is involved too!

As for me, I'm geeking out over the relaunch of Caboodles! I saw them at Target a few weeks ago and finally added one to my list. This one looks sweet! I grew up with one and think it would be awesome to have one to store some makeup in.

We actually have a luggable loo for camping. Basically, a toilet seat that you stick on a regular Home Depot bucket. For camping, we drop in a plastic bag, some cedar hamster bedding and snap on the seat. Works perfectly.

i've used something like this for travel before, and i don't think it would look bad just sitting on a vanity either.

if you type in "makeup brush cylinder" on amazon several sizes and patterns pop up if you want something besides black!

medicines are always allowed- even liquid ones. I flew with my Lupron last week -- my nurse wanted me to keep it refrigerated so I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089SFJLU/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_1_w

(which can be used to carry snacks or a bottle that needs to be cold down the line or really anything you want to put in it) It worked great- kept it cold for 8+ hours. Make sure the ice pack part is FROZEN when you get to the airport though. I put my needles in the packet w/ the vial because I was only going away a few days and the needles fit. If you need to pack them separately that's fine too- you can bring as much medicine "stuff" as needed- just declare it when you go through security-- which I did on the way there "hey, I have liquid medication and needles" and they told me just put it in it's own bin. I watched the security officer take it off the belt, open my little kit, feel the ice pack a bit and then put it back and send it down the line. Going home I said nothing and they didn't question it nor examine it!

This under my make up list would be great for my make up brushes!!! Especially when I travel. :/ They keep getting squished and making funky shapes and I want my brushes to last.
