Found it drunk amazon browsing Not expensive either!
Well ain’t that a kick in the shorts...I think you’re right.

I’m sure there’s cheaper ones out there somewhere
Looks like a dual dispenser. You turn the bottles upside down and turn the wheels to dispense.
Edit - Here's a different style one
We have this one. It's pretty fancy at parties.

The 2 things I put in mine recently that were great for the cost was a decanter set for my whiskey and a bluetooth audio receiver. Being able to walk in, hit a button on my phone and spotify starts playing in the room while I pour a drink just sets the mood. This is assuming of course you already have the typical couch/sofa, computer, posters, mini-fridge, work bench, etc.
It's a liquor dispenser similar to this one.
I'd be much happier with a new decanter, a nice wine key, and some cheese and cured meat.
EDIT: Wine shipping is super expensive and annoying, because you actually have to be there to sign for the delivery. So if you do ship wine, ship it to the office and not the gift recipient's house.
Personally, i like the Hario decanter best https://www.amazon.com/Hario-HPDN-2T-Heat-Resistant-Decanter/dp/B002VP0X72/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1473950480&sr=8-8&keywords=hario+carafe. They're all pretty much the same, the Beehive one has a silicone lid, which helps keeping the coffee hotter for longer, but i don't think it makes much of a difference to the plastic one to be honest.
First, Bravo because that's a good way to honor your Fathers Memory.
Secondly, if it were me I would decant it into something classy like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Bormioli-Rocco-Selecta-4-Ounce-Decanter/dp/B002IT6X4I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1457524738&sr=8-1&keywords=whisky+bottle
However, if keeping it in the bottle is really important then I would: 1. Strain it into a temporary container.
2. I would get a thin long piece of metal and stab the remaining cork until it broke up.
3. I would rinse the bottle with a little purified water and use a funnel to put the water back in.
Hope this helps
there already is one https://www.amazon.com/Barbuzzo-UTU3BR0033-Grenade-Decanter/dp/B00ILR680K
You can use the dispensers from these coupled with servos like this project. You can also use solenoid valves, but be aware they need a minimum head pressure to work.
If I built a machine like this, I wouldn't use valves on the liquid path. I'd use an air pump, preferably peristaltic to pressurize the bottles as needed and use a siphon to dispense liquid. If you use air pressure you will always get a relatively consistent amount of liquid without needing to measure it. The pump gets a very large mechanical advantage due to the area ratio of the siphon and bottle, so the liquid pressure won't change how much air gets pumped in a given amount of time.
If you just use the pressure of the liquid in the bottle, the pouring pressure and therefor flow rate will drop as the bottle empties. You can use a flow rate sensor, but there's no guarantee on food safety.
I've read some of these books before I bought them, some I already finished and the rest are on my list to read. My problem is that I read 10 books at once. I'll read a couple of chapters and/or half a book and then switch it up. My mind is strange like that. I don't why I do it but it just works.
I'm collecting books to have in my library one day. Wishful thinking, I know! My bookshelf is packed and the remaining books are now collecting on my desk and comic book short boxes.
There is this image I've always had of myself in a room like this or that. Some guys want the big bar (I would love to have this mini bar and whiskey set), big screen tv, and football memorabilia. I rather have the silence, in solitude, next to a fire, book in hand.
Remember, it's not hoarding if it's books. ;)
I love my Hario Decanter, perfect for a cup of pour over.
I even made a couple drinks with my clear glassware and posted it here before.
jk. $60

I have one of these, think we got it as a wedding present. I like it because we tend to drink wines with 5-10 years of bottle age (unlike most people under 35, I actually age my wine) and I don't want them to get as much air. We have a couple others that are more funky shaped, but that's the one I use the most.
But no matter what decanter you get, these cleaning devices are super clutch. Little water, a drop or two of soap and the decanter is clean as a whistle, and you don't have to worry about jamming a dish brush or some other odd object to get the scuzz out.
Also, re: lead - don't worry about it. The amount of time the liquid would have to sit in the decanter to actually get a measurable amount of lead is far longer than it will take you to consume the wine.
I enjoy any form of pasta as my go to stuff myself silly. It's very comforting lol I also like to have a tequila sunrise to wash things down with.

Anything Buffalo Trace imo. A good side gift would be a decanter or balls of steel !
Wasn't sure if that was cool :

Woohoo first contest!
He may enjoy having this whiskey set to serve drinks to guests in style :)
Does he have any decanters? I have this one and I love it, plus it’s kind of a badass gift. Comes with glasses and whiskey stones. Don’t know if he likes Lagavulin, but I highly recommend, it would be a great addition to round out a special gift.

Edit: I forgot about the Christmas stuff. For stocking stuffers I tend to go with small tech gifts, some sunglasses, candies, a new watch and usually a couple of scratch cards, a new beard trimmer and some bottles of hot sauce if he is into that sort of thing.
I know its cheap but why not go with something like this, and then spend the rest on good whiskey.
No worries, I don't use a Crystal Decanter. When I first started looking for a decanter, I discovered all of the lead concerns. Thankfully I found a lead-free, non crystal, glass decanter. It looks great, and it was really cheap. I can vouch for its quality, and thankfully it has gotten even cheaper in the last few years (was $40 when i bought it)
Bormioli Rocco Selecta Decanter
Bormioli Ice Container
check amazon, here's the first hit when I searched for decanter. Just try & get one with a tight fitting stopper. Or you can possibly macguyver something to get a tight seal & prevent air exposure. But for mixers, you really need something fancy & decorative? Guess I understand the impulse to class up the joint
Another good idea, buy a bottle of Bulleit, then when you're done drinking it remove the label & use it to hold other whiskey, bottle is great
Suggestions:
Whiskey glass set
French Press
Coffee
Coffee cake
Star Wars shirt
Star Wars shot glasses
Yoda coffee mug
You can see more views here, and here is the a real life version you can pay money for if having money is something you don't like.
Ooh, I've done this search before.
Globe decanter.
Double-walled tumbler. Keeps the warmth of your hands from warming the drink--a positive thing for brandy (which is why you're meant to drink it from snifters) but less so for whiskey.
If you really want to get serious about tasting whiskey, get a set of these glasses (also comes in a set of 4) and a set of old-fashioned glasses. Those are "the" glasses for whiskey tasting.

I feel like you can't go wrong with these, they look just like the ones my parents had when I was growing up and I always really liked them.
These are pretty cool for a cheap/informal option.
I really like this decanter with these glasses and was going to give them as a Christmas gift before I found a nice bar set at an antique shop.
Fun option. Plastic, but they light up!
Drinking horn!

Edit: fixed link.
sexy. i have the same one!...plus two glasses :) Amazon
As other people said, keep lemons and simple syrup around-- both are very cheap. (Get a juicer for your lemons to make the most out of em.)
As for whiskey, there are three types: bourbon, scotch, and rye. My very dear favorite of the bottom-shelf brands is Old Evan Williams, a bourbon. (Yes, I am cornfed trash.) Bulleit does both bourbon and rye and is a step up... a lot of bars go through this stuff like crazy. Get to Costco if you can-- their selection is a little small but always very cheap. I know they have Bulleit rye, and the Kirkland scotch is pretty smooth and something like $20. Maker's Mark is a step more expensive still, but it's good. Sometimes you can find a bottle at Trader Joe's for $25-30 which is totally worth it.
Finally! Cheap whiskey, like cheap wine, improves if you put it in a decanter. I have this one, which also comes with some lovely matching rocks glasses that are the perfect size and weight for a whiskey drink. Keep your whiskey in the decanter and a couple of the glasses in the freezer, and you're golden.
ETA: use Amazon to pick up any cheap home bartending tools you might want (for now, the decanter plus a shaker and small juicer). I've gotten all mine from there and they're perfectly serviceable.
If I'm not mistaken, that is a wine decanter.
They come in all kinds of shapes, different for every kind of wine.

This thing always seemed like something awesome for my whiskey.

really common item. if no markings on it than it is almost impossible to identify. Most likely lead crystal.
Here is a set that is close with more pieces
Decanter set
Usually see these sets go for $15-20 at flea markets and garage sales
So, I already have a french press. I was hoping that I could just use a my Kailta Wave or V60 and just brew it over a container similar to how a chemex works. I guess I wasn't the most clear by my description.
EDIT: I just looked into it and I think I found what I was looking for - It's a decanter! Here's a line to the amazon page
http://www.amazon.com/Hario-HPDN-2T-Heat-Resistant-Decanter/dp/B002VP0X72
For the small space you're working with, this is a pretty great renovation. If this were my bar, though, I'd take the doors off to make it look less cramped.
Also, pro-tip: For the cheaper liquors that you probably drink more often (if you're anything like me), get a few glass decanters. Pour the cheaper stuff like the Evan Williams in there and get rid of the bottle. The bar will look much classier if you keep the more expensive liquors on display in their respective bottles, but for the cheaper stuff, you can make it look fancy in glass decanters.
Chances are, when your guests ask for whiskey and you pour it from a nice decanter, they won't know it's Evan Williams and they'll assume you gave them some fancy stuff.
Look into a few like this. It's only $12, and you'll save that money back when guests reach for the decanter instead of getting grabby with your good shit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IT6X4I/ref=abs_brd_tag_dp?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Sorry not sorry for last night's drunken break down but you really need to step your alcohol game up. People judge on that shit. All the bottles I listed are under $25 at my local liquor store. And do more than just mixers Get yourself a cocktail shaker, a jigger and a mudler and learn to make some drinks. It's really not that hard and people will be impressed as fuck. Want to take it a step further? Get one of these bad fuckers and some nice glassware. bar glassware shouldn't be optional and you can pick up some nice stemware for cheap. Go get some big ice cub silicon molds and fill with filtered water. Use those in place of ice cubes. It's all about perception. If a girl were to come over and you made her a nice drink with a beautiful presentation, she'd be blown away vs the banal rum and coke. One I like;
Give that a good shake and strain over a cube/burg. Garnish with cucumber wheel and basil sprig. I cook a lot so I have both ingredients on hand frequently.
Alcohol should have expression. Don't buy shit to pander to people, buy what you like. If you really really like new amsterdam and jose cuervo then fine do you but spend a few extra $$ and show that you really care. For the record, cuervo gold is just cuervo silver with additives.
No, it's from this decanter set.

monkey? this would be cool I guess.
I'm with everyone else-- decant! Here's some decanters in your price range.
I picked out the Wells and Tino from Crate and Barrel. I like the Callaway a lot too, and I'll probably pick that up eventually. From Amazon I picked out this Godinger and this basic Bormioli. I'll go on the hunt for smaller bottles for amaro and bitters in-person somewhere this weekend - I'm going to check out Ikea and a local homebrew shop.
My FH's groomsmen are all drinkers so he bought them a scotch decanter
http://www.amazon.com/Bormioli-Rocco-Capitol-Decanter-23-75/dp/B0001UZOEQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1406907484&sr=8-7&keywords=scotch+decanter
He plans on engraving them with their initials.
get the vinturi and any glass vessel of your choice. I have a number of them, but these two get the most use:
http://www.amazon.com/Riedel-1440-13-Cabernet-Decanter/dp/B0000DC0XG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1462385732&sr=8-2&keywords=riedel+ultra+wine+decanter

That looks like an enormous waste of money. Why not buy a decanter with a glass stopper? nothing is more foodsafe then glass, and since these are used to store alcohol they are airtight as fuck.
