I mean, this is selling on amazon for $100

The Fade Crunch Box will fit that bill for around $30 (more colors around the net if you look). It's marketed as a 12 disc bag, and has a divider. I bet I could fit 10 discs in (2 in the putter pocket) and a six pack without much coercion. It's not insulated... but for the money, I'd just toss a few ice packs in there.

It's very well made, I routinely carry a 2L of water with me on the course, no signs of wear on the bag yet.

As for straps, I got the LC-1 H-type military suspenders for about $15 shipped. I can't justify spending $50 on straps... these do the job quite nicely.

Here is a much cheaper version of a bag very similar to the NutSac: Kestrel

Fade Tournament bag (camo) with the Fade straps.
snagged it on eBay for almost half price.

So awesome.

The wet weather cover is icing on the cake.

Fade Crunch on Amazon.

MVP Beaker, looks like their version of the crunch bag.

It has held up pretty well especially for the price and it says 8 but it will hold 9 including the front putter pocket. I just took out my least used discs or the ones I didn't think would be good for the course.

u/chipmunk7000 · 3 pointsr/discgolf

I have The Throwback Sack. Holds a bunch of discs and the cooler pocket holds a six pack. Plus lots of space for scorecards, snack bars, minis, etc.

$50 on Amazon

u/Eric264 · 3 pointsr/discgolf

That’s one of the reasons I like my Throwback All Day bag, it’s unique. The discs go in the outside pockets and the inside is basically a giant cooler. However I am now the designated beer mule for my friends, so that’s a little drawback.

u/Angry_Bison · 3 pointsr/discgolf

The fade gear crunch box disc golf bag is a great little bag.

DD Trooper Bag @ $40 is probably the easiest entry level backpack style bag to get into

Then DD Sniper Backpack is up from there with more storage, and a streamlined boxy look at about $80

Upper Park Designs Shift @ $130-$140 is popular, but often sold out.

MVP Voyager Slim can has a huge price range depending on color from $115 to $175, which seems odd

After that you're into 200$ and up for bags, or real cheap no-name chicom stuff from amazon. Some of it may be good, but still at the same price point as the Innova and DD I just went with a name I associate with Disc Golf already.

I personally chose the Innova for cost to storage ratio at 80 bucks seemed like a good bet. It's been good so far, but only time will tell.

u/zoopaflack · 3 pointsr/discgolf

I have the grip clone bag $100 on amazon, and it is not bad at all. Right now grip is having a sale and it looks like B15's are only 154 shipped, so spending the extra $54 might not be a bad idea to get the actual thing from them. The only real difference I see, is the flap has a pocket that can hold a disc, and it comes with a rain fly, but doesn't have the towel clips. I have had mine since March and it seems to hold up well, and can even be loaded down with a decent number of discs. If it fits in your budget, I saw go for the real thing, reputable company with a warranty, and you know it will be well made. There are so many bags out now hope this helps in decision.

u/Tetriside · 2 pointsr/discgolf

I don't know much about the quality, but the Throwback Sports bags have coolers.

The old version of backpack used the entire main compartment. The newer one has insulated side pockets. There's also a smaller bag with less disc storage.

u/bert_and_earnie · 2 pointsr/discexchange

I have a NEW black Innova Deluxe bag with NEW back saver straps.

I won these at a tournament. I'll do both for $50.

I have purchased this bag recently and I love it. My friend got an upper park designs bag around the same time and I believe mine is just as durable as his will be years from now. Many reviews on the product attest to its durability. It super cheap (which is what I needed cause I'm a college student), but it doesn't come with cheap material in my opinion. It's only $99 so it's a win win to me.

I just copy pasted this from the last time I told someone about this bag. I have it and still love it ~7 months now

u/hateboss · 2 pointsr/discgolf

But why would you buy that when you can pay $20 more and get the backpack version which holds more discs, more drinks, more stuff, has side mesh pockets and can hold a single can in an easy to grab location (which is where I keep my speakers)!

u/greensmurf30 · 2 pointsr/discgolf

i have no idea! but hopefully people will be able to give some feedback about this one, the fade crunch box, as that is the one i am debating getting. some better pictures are on the fade website and some reviews are on amazon.

i don't really want to end up carrying a bunch of discs, and i just want something that can switch between carrying a full 12 discs, or a half load and some brewskis. what kind of bags are you eyeing?

u/thtrlytallwhitedude · 2 pointsr/discgolf

They're on Amazon. Here

u/TurnDownForPutts · 2 pointsr/discgolf

Fitactic. This thing is the best: http://www.amazon.com/FITACTIC-Luxury-Frisbee-Disc-Backpack/dp/B00KEZMXGU

That's what I have, it's close to what you described... can't put ice in it, but ice packs work. There are cheaper versions too.

u/xJonjey · 2 pointsr/discgolf

I recently got my dad a Throwback Sack and it's honestly the highest quality bag I've ever had my hands on. Much nicer than my backpack. This thing has an insulated cooler pocket that's big enough to hold 4 bottles of water with 2 ice packs, keeps them ice cold. Has lots of disc space, putter pocket in the front, mini pocket on the side with a phone pocket and a bottle holder pocket that has a good drawstring and is big enough for a big gatorade bottle. The strap is strong with very good padding, and the two things that set this bag over the top for me were: The back of the bag, where it rests against your body when you're walking the course, has very thick mesh padding. And the second thing is that the bottom of the bag has the biggest rubber feet I've seen on a bag.

Super big fan, and their a newer company so I think they deserve all the shoutouts they can get right now. Currently the bag is on sale for $50, the normal price is $80 and the quality of the construction is worth that, so for $50 it's an absolutely insane deal.

I have a Dynamic Discs Trooper bag: Dynamic Discs Trooper Disc Golf... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075GSYJMR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. I really like it, and it holds what I need.

I’m having the same problems with looks, I like the size of the Innova Hero bags, but don’t really care for the colors/design it comes in.

I've gotten a lot of compliments of my [Grip Knockoff] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KEZMXGU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) bag from Amazon

u/red_wheelbarr0w · 1 pointr/discgolf

budget price but holds plenty of discs, convenient front and inside pockets for discs, and big side pockets and front zipper pockets for other stuff.

This is the Chinese version of Simian, quite a lot cheaper at $160 and you get it in a couple days, vs Simian Gorilla Boys I've heard of 6 month lead time to get your bag as the dude was hand making everything. Perhaps that has changed now though. I have one and like it quite a bit. It fit in the over head bins on planes which worked out great for GBO.

I like this for quick trips still has a water holder. Oklahoma heat and humidity can get tough

u/danblam · 1 pointr/discgolf

A bag really isn't necessary for only 3-4 discs. It's just preference though. You can get a bag like this that holds around 15 discs for pretty cheap.

u/NotoriousOGP · 1 pointr/discgolf

I got this one and it works really well.

I’m not sure how long the hole was. UDisc says 218 but the sign says like 252 so I’m not sure, there was quite a bit of that there it looks like they recently went through and reworked everything, cleaned everything up. I threw a meteor esp that was bright green. It was a blast the course is called Tittabawassee Trails. Oh and the bag is a throwback.amazon link to the bag

This UK Amazon shop has a unbranded Grip Bag for £98.95. Not sure what the deal is as I've never seen an unbranded one but it's an exact match to my bag straight from Grip.

I just made the jump to a backpack recently and went with the Sniper. It's quite a bit cheaper than most of the other options and after a couple months it seems to be holding up great. One thing I like about it compared to ones I see other people using is that it has a pocket that can hold a light jacket. That's been really useful this time of year.

u/randomt2000 · 1 pointr/discgolf

There is a company that does a Grip Rippoff and sells it without logo, doesn't get much simpler than that. Also very cheap. But as it goes with Ripp offs though, I'm a bit doubtful about the quality.

I’ve been using this for a year https://www.amazon.com/Innova-Champion-Discs-Standard-Black/dp/B00DF41CV4

Fits 9 discs comfortably. Can fit two tall boys. It doesn’t have great balance but gets the job done for me.

I haven't found anything that opens that way from the top and is that... compact? I thought it was a L64 E3 at first, but it also looks like this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071J9QYWM?tag=iperfectlist-20) but that bag opens differently at the top..

if you already have a backpack style bag, I highly recommend getting the Rovic cart (https://www.amazon.com/Rovic-RV1D-3-Wheel-Backpacks-Charcoal/dp/B07JJH4DG9). A fully equipped one with a seat and cooler bag costs labout the same as a base zuca cart. It takes up less space, folds down to roughly the size of a Grip bag, is lighter and way easier to push.

I had a zuca for about 2 years before I got the rovic, and have had the rovic for about a year and haven't used the zuca once since I got it. I actually just sold my Zuca last week since it hasn't moved in a year.

Example pics:

Sorry 'bout that. It's the Fade Crunch: http://www.amazon.com/Fade-Gear-Crunch-Disc-Small/dp/B001FSZA60

Though if I were to pick a bag again, I'd definitely take a look at the Voodoo stuff. It's so awesome.

I like the innova disccarrier with backpack straps. kindof lets you have the backpack and the satchel if you just loop one arm. I'm a beginner/intermediate too.
