I think it goes both ways. I have a small dog that a lot of people assume will be nippy, start shit with bigger dogs, be too vocal, etc. Which are all incorrect assumptions. I’ve had people joke about kicking him before and such.

I would definitely watch him around that neighbor, there was just a case where a neighbor had beat a German Shepard to death with a bat.

Maybe try this bandana:

Luna Lovegood the character is unique. So, anything “abnormal” fits her name. She’s proud to be a Ravenpaw

I'd just practice using a stern tone. It's not rude to protect your animal from unwanted contact. Dookie is a nervous guy. He doesn't like men touching him in particular. I bought 2 little patches that say "Ask To Pet" and sewed them on his harness and stroller. I think it's helped. I very rarely get anyone who reaches without asking first. You could also try a bandana.

You could wear something like this on her. Or if you don't want a full jacket/harness, you could go for the bandana option.

Of course, you could just carry a bottle of water with you on your walk and dump it on her periodically.

These are my dogs, Cooper & Willow. Aren't they cute? Cooper is a foster that I ended up adopting, when he was almost a year old. Turned out I couldn't see myself giving him away! Haha. He turns 4 in August. Willow is a dog that we've had for almost a month now. My previous dog died and my husband thought I needed to cheer up and so he got me another dog. But he did it the wrong way and got her off of some family on craigslist. I read their text exchanges and she sounded wonderful by the way they described her, and the pictures they sent were adorable. But when he picked her up, she was filthy and matted, had obviously never been bathed. He wanted to send her pack because we had been "deceived," but there was no way I was giving her back to that crap family, so we took her home. I gave her a bath, and she was terrified of it, but I got through. I started cutting out mats only to realize she was INFESTED with ticks. Like at least 20 to 40. So I rushed her to the vet in a panic, and after extensive testing, she was fine. HOWEVER, it also turned out she was pregnant with 11 puppies! Thankfully she wasn't very far along so we had it terminated and got her fixed. I felt like scum, but there was no way we could have 11 puppies in an apartment without losing our lease. So now she is happy and healthy and beginning her training, because she's also never been trained. This poor thing has just gone through so much in her little life. As for a prize entry, I would really like this cooling bandanna for Cooper. Now that I live in Arizona, keeping them cool is essential!

Opal's 2nd birthday is coming up. I'm thinking of ideas to celebrate and bought one of these as a place to start. Has anyone tried one of these dog friendly cake mixes?

I also snagged her something cute to wear on her special day!
