That isn't the longest I've towed him. I've done a century towing him... more then once. It takes us all day long, but its a hell of a fun day. :)

Here is that same wagon on Amazon for $400. https://www.amazon.com/PetEgo-Comfort-Wagon-Trailer-SUSPENSIONS/dp/B003OYIC0Y

While I understand it seems expensive, it is cheaper then having to buy a slightly cheaper model every few years, and having to have the frame/wheels straightened every 3 to 6 months.

Some tips: Your bike will flip on a kickstand. Set it down on its side. Don't let your brand new bike get dinged up on its second trip.
It isn't my trailer, it belongs to Max. Putting things like cargo in there will get me scoffed at.
Get a floor mat made of that kong rubber. Soft cushions are nice... until it rains.
If you don't have a mudflap on your bike (my current one is missing this feature) and you drive through some rain, you may end up with a line down your dogs face and chest...

There are a few cheaper brands, but I know this one will works good. I've had it for quite a long time, and it has the option to zip up partially or all the way. I can zip or unzip each individual side, including the little top sun roof. It also has suspension. I learned after the fact that 3 different manufactueres make a similar trailer. Mine is the most expensive. There is one that is slightly smaller but its MSRP is cheaper. It is the same price as this one on Amazon. There is one more that is much cheaper but I've heard bad things about its quality and durability.

Our trailer probably has about 5000 miles on it. Currently the fabric is starting to look a bit faded, and in a few spots it has worn away due to being folded and stored not so gently. I've got 4 hitches for it and can hitch it up to one of several bikes. We also have a cargo and kids trailer. I actually ended up swapping them all to using the same hitch as it is very easy and stable to use. If your in northern California, I can show you this in action. It looks like Sunday I'll be going here: https://www.meetup.com/SFBARC/events/240864447/

edit: I'm pretty sure we have over 5000 miles on it. Even on the stupidly low estimate of 50 miles a week we are over 10,000 miles. The last few years I estimate we go over 100 miles a week. When we first got it I'd say about 20 a week.

Our first pug was a rescue at the age of 9. She made it to 11 before her kidneys just stopped working.

She had never been abused but her care was a bit suspect. She didn't like grass at all. As far as she was concerned that was for country dogs not city girls. She couldn't navigate stairs, her eyes had to have drops, she rubbed eye buggers everywhere, she had accidents, she liked a change of diet about every half bag of anything we bought, the closest to running I ever saw from her was when she chased the possum out of the yard. That winded her for about an hour. Oh and she jumped in a lake with alligators too. Wouldn't trade those memories of her for all the money on the planet.

Oh we got this to take her on walks. She loved it.

Keep a bag of puppy pads around. Useful for many issues.
