OP, this. A peephole camera might be really helpful for you right now. Something like this, although there are probably better models out there?

It looks like that one emails you the clips, but I’m not sure if they’re in real time.

This one here looks like it definitely does send real-time alerts and shows you clips, although it’s visible from the outside, so at that point it’s like a ring:

I have a digital peephole so I see people pace on my porch and wonder why nobody is answering.

No camera, it's like this: http://www.amazon.com/Angle-Peephole-Viewer-Scope-Silver/dp/B000TB1FHW/
I have one and like it quite a bit.

The reverse of that would be this

Shomer-Tec Reverse Peephole Viewer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ABV7LJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_I2r0CbPWN5MT4

Cost is probably ~$40 when bought in bulk. Not too expensive for a trendy hotel considering some spend $100 on stupid Bose clock radios.

It can also function as a simple security camera: "Built-in memory, can take 100 photos."

You can buy a peephole cover or get a peephole with a built in cover.

Usually small hands are much less problematic ergonomically than large hands.

I'd say both the Nura and the Urban Trapper would be comfortable (the other 2 aren't going to be worth it), though I'd switch the Nura for the newer Kershaw Concierge or the Kershaw Atmos.

Same designer, but much better quality wise.

And when guests ask why you have a peep hole in your wall casually change the subject.

Did you know Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase if you shop by going to smile.amazon.com instead? Over $50,000,000 has been raised for charity - all you need to do is change the URL!

Here are your smile-ified links:

Cara, encontrei o produto na amazon, que envia pro brasil, porém fica um pouco caro o frete. O produto é real, a marca parece ser real também.. O método de venda deles é um pouco curioso só. Fica a teu critério comprar, mas eu não iria 100% de certeza, por que se der qualquer problema provavelmente eles não vão te auxiliar como uma Amazon/gearbest faria.

u/cragar79 · 2 pointsr/BudgetBlades

I would go with the Kershaw Concierge.

OP I strongly suggest you get this for your door.

http://www.davstarsecurity.com/door-scope.htm
http://www.amazon.com/Angle-Peephole-Viewer-Doorscope-Metal/dp/B000NKPWF0

Then if you still need you can put the camera on your side of the door. No possible HR issues or employees getting weirded out.

u/SunInPortland · 2 pointsr/HelpMeFind

It could have been a wide angle door viewer.

u/BoiledSugar · 2 pointsr/HelpMeFind

What, like regular peephole hardware? The one you get needs to be sized to your specific door's width.

Example: 1-3/5" to 2-1/6" Doors

It's a Cheesa, we went cheap because we will only be here another two weeks, but there are others that have cloud storage.

u/ShittyStartTo2017 · 1 pointr/homeautomation

Hmmm, that's a good point. I've got a spare wifi access point laying around here somewhere ... I could just put that in-place and use something like this unit from Yale that comes with a remote screen: https://www.amazon.com/Yale-Look-Door-Viewer-Doorbell/dp/B01KU10YTU/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1506116710&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=door+viewer&psc=1

So is your neighbor only steeling mail/packages? If so, you can go to your local UPS/FEDEX store and they'll set you up so packages go to that location but will have a 'normal' home like address (better than a PO box since not all companies ship to a PO box).

If it's more of this person stealing decorations or leaving smelly items on your front door, you could get this peephole camera. It's not cheap but it looks like it'll do what you need.

Ask her if something like this would make her feel more secure:

My week via Amazon could have gone a lot smoother if I knew who was knocking on my door at 6AM! ;)

u/SAMO1415 · 1 pointr/funny

I recommend putting in one of these. Wide angle.

http://www.amazon.com/Angle-Peephole-Viewer-Doorscope-Metal/dp/B000NKPWF0

The best part is that it looks like a little lcd screen in your door.

It reverses the image, but is still cool.

u/theandyeffect · 1 pointr/mildlyinteresting

Makes no sense because peepholes exist that show the whole scene in front of your door perfectly, without putting your eye up to it. I live in a building that was built in 1920 and our peepholes are like this... Same result with very little cost and no tech to go wrong.

It's called a door viewer... And you can't see in from the other side.

How about one of the peep-hole cameras? Something like this!
Set the camera in your pen holder and the screen next to your other screen?

This sounds like a horrible idea to me, you could totally hack the screen some how...
Should have just used
http://www.amazon.com/Angle-Peephole-Viewer-Doorscope-Metal/dp/B000NKPWF0/ref=pd_sxp_grid_i_1_2
Gives a nice 2 inch image you can see accross a room and no cost on electricity or digital hacking chances haha
