So eye drop guides are a thing and they can help. Just make sure you sanitize them weekly. If you are trying to apply eye drops while wearing makeup there are some tricks:

The best thing is to use tissue on your fingertips and hold your upper lid open by pinning your eyelashes up. When you put the drop keep from blinking by holding those eyelashes up. Pull you hand from your eyelashes and move the tissue to the bottom lid. Now close your eye. Blinking = squeezing, thoughtfully closing your eye = less mess. I know this sounds like rubbing your belly and patting your head but it can be done with practice. It is also easier if you can use both hands and have someone put the drop in for you.

The best is a cheap eye wash kit from CVS or walgreens. Its similar to this cup, and includes a bottle of solution that matches the pH of your eye, meaning it doesn't burn like water. Similar, but better than the shot glass trick, and much more sanitary.

OP, the first thing you should do is feed them small amounts of Pedialyte, or equivalent. Do not use Gatorade or other sports drinks. They are most likely dehydrated, and need electrolyte replacement. This is what I was instructed to do when I found a baby squirell. You will most likely need to use an eye dropper to feed them, but based on their size, you might consider a small baby bottle.

Eyedropper should be available in pharmacy and dollar stores, if you have them in your area. Anything with thin (~1mm or >1/64") opening should create drop around 0.05 ml. 2 drops = 0.1 mm, 20 drops 1 ml. Teaspoon is 5 ml. Amazon has eye droppers and micro measuring spoons.

Oh boy... that's never fun. Something like this or this can help speed the process, but it's still awful. My son had a too-small tear duct in one eye and had to have thrice daily drops (and sometimes creams/ointments) to avoid surgery, and it was a fight every day for almost a year.

You can also buy an aide that is like a small cup that fits over your eye. You attach the eye drop bottle to the top of the cup pointing down towards the eye. Within the cup you open your eye and stare at a dot in the cup. While you are staring, you gentle squeeze the bottle, and voile, you have instilled the medication. I got this for my mother when she had to give herself several eye drop medications after cataract surgery. Worked very well. example.
