Those "chickens on a dish" are a huge collector's item. You can find them in depression glass, milk glass, etc. It's as popular as a cream pitcher. Do a google search for "depression glass chicken" and look at all the images.

Or, look at eBay. "Fenton Glass Chicken"

Martha Stewart made some amazing knock-offs at one point.

Here's a book about them from John's Amazon wish list, that includes some "old school" toys.

This book is awesome, the first half breaks down the process really well. Granted it’s orientated more towards poster printing but the basics are pretty much the same.

Note: the values of old glassware and many other antiques tanked back in the 2007/08 global financial crisis, so the values aren't the same today as when those items have sold in the past. Values rise and fall with the state of the economy, even with antiques. In the 1990s your item would have sold for the price you quoted, but not today.

Here is what C. F. Monroe glass items are selling for these days.

Also; these cigar boxes aren't rare or anything, there are a few to be found online

Your item would have been made between 1890 to 1910 and the mold pattern is referred to as "Egg Crate". Also; the first cigarettes, although smaller were still referred to as cigars at the time. The term "cigarette" wasn't used until the 1920s when it became fashionable for women to smoke and just about all things with the "ette" suffix on the end of it's name referred to women or feminine in manner.
