Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars Oats 'N Honey - 98 BARS - (49-1.5 oz 2 bar pouches) (4 LB 9.5 OZ) = Roughly $0.28 per oz

Nature Valley, High Protein Granola, Oats and Honey, 11oz Bag (Pack of 4) = Roughly $0.67 per oz

From this, we can lazily conclude, that amazon says /u/falcoholic92 is great big liar who's pants are probably on fire.

From the looks of the box those are probably these clusters. Those are produced by Nestle and aren't the same as the Honey Nut Clusters from General Mills. Here's another guy expressing his desire for that sweet crunchy goodness that is Clusters. According to him they haven't been discontinued bit they're production has dropped drastically. I'll see if I can find you a place you can buy them online.

Edit: A quick Amazon search pulls up this. However I'm not sure if these contain the nuts because that dude in the blog post said they got rid of the nuts. It also costs almost 12 bucks plus shipping which is extremely expensive, but if you're looking for a one time box to get the old taste back its a good option to have.

We sub brown sugar with Sukrin Gold. It's delicious.

I pretty much followed this recipe but I used this stuff instead of the Truvia she uses. I also used a little less water and added some vanilla extract.

Ask me this 2 months ago and I would say, "No, have a good big breakfast." However, for about the past few months, I have been making shakes for breakfast and couldn't be happier. Before, I was pretty much Mr. Subway or Starbucks breakfast sandwiches everyday. I was spending ~ $50 a week just in breakfast food. Absurd.

I don't think powder alone will get you very far. I know I would be hungry again in an hour.

So, in about 5 minutes, I mix the following in a blender:

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup water (or so)
  • 3/4 cup organic flax/pumpkin or Ancient Grain/almonds cereal. This stuff is so good.
  • small handful of walnuts crushed by hand.

  • 2 scoops whey/casein blend protein

The above starts my morning off right and keeps me mostly satiated until lunch approaches. That says a lot for a 215lb guy. If I know I am going to be working extra hard/long/or going snowboarding or something, I toss in another 1/4-1/2 cup of regular old oats to get the carb content up.

My Dad (a long time fan of the breakfast shake) told me the other day he has been using a cup of spinach in his shakes, and says it adds little to zero flavor. I may give this a whirl for an even greater anti-oxidant boost.

Oh, I also add in my daily creatine and beta-alanine as well.

Precision Nutrition has some fantastic shake recipes, many which could be well suited to breakfast time and with some tweaking, to whatever nutritional/caloric goals you may have. Check them out.

It must be noted that I would much prefer to sit down and have a nice big breakfast, but this works given that I am a sleepyhead. I do love some breakfast, a handful of eggs, a few sweet potato pancakes and some nice patty sausage.....damnit, now I am hungry.

BEST GRANOLA EVER: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076HRXHXV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I eat it with frozen blueberries, milled flaxseed, and light and fit greek yogurt

u/Gnorthern · 3 pointsr/vegan

Hey, sorry to rain on the parade, but unfortunately both of those granolas have honey in them, so they're not actually vegan :(. Here's an Amazon link with the ingredients.

I almost made this mistake back in the day, so I figured I'd pass it on - congrats on the rest of the haul though!

It looks like your options are limited. The Fiber One people no longer sell Oats and Peanut Butter Chewy Bars. Their website lists 4 varieties of chewy bars: chocolate peanut butter, chocolate caramel & pretzel, chocolate, and oats & chocolate.

It also appears likely that Wal-Mart is no longer selling their Great Value Fiber Oats & Peanut Butter bars. Here is the webpage for it. You have to pick a store, but for every store I tried, in multiple states, the product was listed as out of stock.

I found these on Amazon, but I can't tell whether they are really the kind of thing you are looking for.

Basically you are looking to balance carbs and protein.

Carbs are sugars, and grains. Fibrous carbs (check the nutrition label to see how many of the carbs are fiber) are better than simple carbs (think fruits, bread, rice, and other grains). Protein carbs (nuts, beans, legumes) are also better than simple ones.

I found the app, Carb Manager, to be a god send. You type in what you ate and how much and it tells you how many carbs/fiber and protein is there. Helps you get a good feel for what portion sizes you can have of things.

General rule of thumb for amounts seems to be:

Breakfast - no more than 30 carbs
Lunch - 45 to 60 carbs
Dinner - 45 to 60 carbs
With 2-3 snacks a day at no more than 15 carbs each

You will want to wait at least 2 hours between eating (for blood sugar testing). I found that spacing my meals out more like 5-6 hours with a snack at the 3-4 hour mark worked best for me.

It was also emphasized to me that I should be EATING my carbs not DRINKING them, so no juices or sodas. (That really helped with my water intake. 😋)

All of these need protein with them. My favorite snacks are Nature valley protein bar, Special K Protein Meal Bars, and Carnation Breakfast Essentials, in addition to nuts and cheeses.

purely elizabeth Coconut Cashew Grain-Free & Gluten Free Granola, 0.5 Pound https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FOMPHME/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ViJUCbGBV3840

I bought at Costco, but it's available on Amazon.

u/squishybloo · 2 pointsr/ketorecipes

THIS marinade for grilled skirt steak fajitas is fuckin' brilliant. But then, Kenji's recipes always are!

I sub out the brown sugar with Sukrin Gold.

u/redditguy1298 · 2 pointsr/Fitness

I usually have one a 20g protein yogurt with some granola and a coffee.

u/starpocket · 2 pointsr/glutenfree

It's not an exact match or anything, but Trader Joe's Granola is pretty good. If you don't have one nearby, you can get it from Amazon too, but it's more spendy. I like to mix it in with my yogurt sometimes as well as just eating it like cereal.

u/hanicappergeneral · 2 pointsr/kratom

This works for me everytime, even when laxatives stopped having much of an effect. A bowl at night = a normal shit in the morning.

u/toy_amore · 1 pointr/keto

You could also try using Sukrin Gold - The Natural Brown Sugar Alternative. I haven't used it but the product has been recommended to me by several people. Yes, that does look amazing.

u/superfrodies · 1 pointr/WhitePeopleTwitter

Get strawberry greek yogurt. Get this kind of granola with little dark chocolate chips. Combine in a bowl and consume. Thank me later.

u/shoemaker777 · 1 pointr/ketorecipes

This is also low carb grain free granola and tastes pretty good. I usually eat 1/4 cup. https://www.amazon.com/purely-elizabeth-Grain-Free-Gluten-Free-Granola/dp/B01FOMPIZK

  1. Wine is fine, but if you drink too much you're guaranteed to have a hangover. Those are no fun. :/

  2. I know there's a broom on our list, but I prefer to travel in a more modern style. I'll grab the Bissell steam and SWEEP. Sweep is right there in the name, technically it does the same thing as a broom. Only better! Added bonus of getting to feel like one of the witches from Hocus Pocus. :D

  3. I know that we're supposed to buy our hats, but I'd much prefer to knit my own. Especially with this super soft super cute yarn.

  4. Books can take you anywhere you want to go! I want to go to space with some fat ladies and have colorful adventures!

  5. When I get my trunk I'm going to keep my treasures in it like a pirate!

Bonus- Capes make you feel super. When you're super you need a super snack to keep yourself ready to thwart all those evil plans!

Glad I could help!

This is the sugar I am using. Works really well.

Was it this? https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Path-Organic-Granola-Pumpkin/dp/B001EO5RFE (Amazon link as I can't find a working listing on Costco.com). They were sampling it in my store a few days ago. It's also one of my favorites...when it goes on sale I always stock up. Costco has a couple of other granola type cereals too, so I may be wrong.

u/Melissaru · 1 pointr/moderatelygranolamoms

My Costco had these, the ingredients looked good and they taste amazing. They are more crunchy than soft though.

I think I will go for this. Is this the one? How does it taste?
