Would be easier to turn on a space heater and AC at the same time, along with the oven and all the burners.

Or gets a few of these babies

awesome! Thanks so much! I'm going to start this myself today! Well, I think I need to order the lights from amazon, are these the ones you're using?

What do you use to power it?

I totally get what you're saying about the Maxibloom; low in nitrogen until you're ready for it to bear fruit. I have Masterblend 4-18-38, would it have the same effect? Or should I look at buying Maxibloom? I have epsom salts and cal-nitrate as well.

Thanks so much for your time!

Thanks, I don't know maybe neglect. :)

I'm joking kind of, I always thought it was just the strains. But they all pretty much turn out like that for me. So my guess would be partly the strains and possibly the brand of light I use or the environmental's. Which is near the coast so it's often fairly humid and mild temperatures.

The lights I'm using are some cheap ones. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00076IMU2/ref=pe_385040_30332200_TE_item

granted I actually think a very similar version GE bulb I used before worked slightly better, but I can't complain for the price.

There's a wall light here that went out recently, and I've never seen this kind before. From the label "Use only Type T21, 150 Watts Max" it looks like it's a "T21 bulb"?

I searched online for where I could get a replacement, and all the links are over $100. For example, https://www.amazon.com/SOX90-PRESSURE-SODIUM-LIGHT-HOURS/dp/B000STF83M/ is $135 + $10 shipping.

My questions (if anyone is knowledgable about this kind of bulb) are:

  1. Is this a T21 bulb?

  2. Are they really $135? Or is there a better place to get them?

  3. If I order one, can I change this light myself, or do I need a professional to do it for me? I can't quite tell if it's just a matter of taking out the glass thing, removing the burned out bulb, and putting a fresh one in, or whether there are more complicated steps involved.

  4. The light this is connected to is currently on a dimmer switch. If I look for a new T21 bulb do I need to find ones that specifically say "dimmable", or can I assume that they're all dimmable? For example, would the Amazon one ("SOX90 WATT LOW PRESSURE SODIUM BULB SUPRA LIFE T21 SHAPE BY22D BAYONET BASE SOX LAMP 90 WATTS") work? (it doesn't say "dimmable" anywhere in its description)

    Thanks for any help!

We have had a Philips HR2388 since 2000. It has a capacity of 5kg and a resolution of 1g. I'm an engineer who cooks so it gets used a lot everyday.

A similar one is £45 on Amazon with a toggle for g and oz.

ohh my bad lol, I must be high. The only thing I can find (apparently there's a huge market for 150w HPS to MH bulb that works in that wattage) The only thing I can find is this. http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-64597-MP150PAR38-Metal-Halide/dp/B002CYZSO0?tag=vglnk-c1302-20
edit: Better idea: what you originally said, they should make it switchable at least.

This light is not comparable, it is very low light output in comparison to the MH bulbs. The review states it is not strong enough to light nine square feet for a plant.

This light bulb is likely twice as strong as the LED you linked, $26 Canadian. https://www.amazon.ca/Sunlite-MH400-MOG-400-Watt-Halide/dp/B002J357F4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=29YW6O1MVWB4J&keywords=metal+halide+bulb&qid=1567701259&s=gateway&sprefix=metal+halide%2Caps%2C268&sr=8-5

Here is the 250 W MH bulb you want. But this one is also very good.

I built one for myself out of a sodium lamp and a ballast.

I am in a hurry right now, but I will come back later today with more info, some pictures and maybe even some drawings if I have them of what I made.

Well, all that I know is readily available online, but the LPS wavelength spectrum is much more limited compared to HPS, so, as I understand it, it's much easier to filter out than HPS, let alone a LED.

Because of the above, LPS lamps render colors like this (the car to the left is red), so they are problematic when they are the only light source and colors have to be represented accurately - but cars already have their own lights, oftentimes LED, for that very purpose, while stores, apartment buildings and the like that may benefit from colors tend to feature their own lighting anyways.

As for the efficiency, compare a random 55-watt LPS bulb from 2004 to the superextramodernfeatured latest LED solutions from the same producer - if the sheets are to be believed, it turns out that, with all the problems LEDs present, they are only some 7% more efficient... And if they intelligently go darker at night, doesn't that just mean that the place either becomes less secure or simply didn't need that much light to begin with?

Neat website, either way! It might seem more trustworthy if it was possible to implement and enforce Let's Encrypt or some better SSL on it, as unfortunately we're going after emotions... :)
