Hydration belt with pouch. Bottles for carrying water during long runs, and the pouch is big enough to fit 4 of those giant-but-easy-to-swallow SiS gels for marathon race day.

Speaking of gels, the SiS variety 6- pack. If you hate the thicker, more colloidal gels, these are a huge step up. And of course it's important to experiment with different types regardless because different things work better for different people.

These sunglasses which are affordable, light, and will last years unless you step on them.

Balega socks. Quality running socks are one of life's everyday luxuries. Especially nice to have the mental boost for long runs and tough workouts.

>NOT these Soffe shorts. Basically see-through, which means you have to wear underwear, which is an extra layer to get sweaty, which defeats the purpose of the (semi-useless) built-in liner. ;-)

It goes in a backpack or a cargo pocket (originally intended for military/contractors, wide spread use in public service who usually throw it in backpacks). Not a fanny pack. This is a fanny pack: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000A13NJO/

I personally like this one. I’ve used it for a few festivals and it’s big enough to hold my phone, wallet, keys, and a few other essentials. Probably not by enough to hold more than that though.

I bought one of these things. You can wear it on your back like a reverse fanny pack, or turn it around and wear it on the front. It also comes with shoulder straps if you are hiking or something to take the weight off.

I kept it strapped on and towards the front on any ride I went on and had only one issue where an operator said that I had to take it off. As it had my pump in it, I said no, it has medical equipment inside and I must wear it. The last thing I need is for a ride to get stuck and then there I am trapped for a half hour or more without juice or insulin.

Definitely awesome!

if you or u/boilerbags want inspiration on features for a bag like this, I have this one, and there is a lot to love about it. There are also lots of things to cut off of it, which make it a great place to start in terms of possible features. I like the vertical straps for compression and strapping stuff on, and I'd expand the hipbelt pockets.

One thing that seems counterintuitive, but that i LOVE about it is the shoulder strap. You 100% forget it's there, and the ventilation is still awesome compared to even an Osprey airspeed, but it completely eliminates the bounce of 2 full bottles and stabilizes the bag. Can also take some of the weight if you want. Or you can leave it at home.

I actually made one for my dad, since he likes hauling around a huge Mountainsmith waistpack, and he also loves it.

Maybe look at those "tactical fanny packs" or a "waist bag" you can put on your belt.

Looks like Herschel Tour Hip Pack or Dakine Hot Laps might fit. For more techy/street style, Code of Bell's X-Pod might do the trick.

Got one right here! These ones are $20 - 10 plus 10 shipping from the UK. It also might take a while to ship because of that and might not come in time for next week - but I agree, get a fanny pack with a pocket in the back and put it through your belt loops or get a runner's belt!

Yay! I'm actually out camping right now!

Most of the time I spens putdoors is work related - gardening, or taking care of the animals. I do love to go out hiking, especially bird watching; there are a lot of nice spots up here in WI. Unfortunately I don't really have anything outdoorsy on my WL. I do have this fanny pack, which would let me carry seeds while I'm gardening, or anything really.

I like this contest. This is a good contest.

I'm locking my zipper shut:

http://oi65.tinypic.com/egtkt1.jpg

I got two gold chains for my boyfriend and I to wear around out necks so we won't lose them. His is longer so if he loses his, we have mine as a last resort. It's also just attached by a key ring so we can always undo that as well.

http://www.amazon.com/Everest-Signature-Waist-Pack-Standard/dp/B003BHCWEQ?ie=UTF8&keywords=fanny%20pack&qid=1465455293&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

This is the fanny pack I use. There's a zipper facing your body and that's the one I'll be locking. I'll wearing it off-centered to my left, which leaves the buckle directly in front of me. It'll be covered in kandi so cutting the straps would be more difficult. My bf will also be directly behind me at all times when it boils down to it so I'm not too concerned.

Yes, I'm going through hopes to make sure my ID and phone is not stolen after reading the reddit thread on Coachella this year. :>

I think if it had more than one pocket I would instantly cop. I carry [this]( Everest Signature Waist Pack - Standard, Black, One Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000A13NJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_p0Etzb3AN9EH) fanny pack right now but wear it across the chest. I love it because it has 3 pockets. A small one that fits my wallet, another one that I can put my spare battery and drugs in and a third pocket that fits my phone perfectly. But I still dig this.

This one: Waterfly Fanny Pack with Water Bottle Holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQXXD4R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6bnZCbTVF4K66

Tbh It could have fit another small water bottle inside and I could have cinched it better probably but yeah, didn’t like it - also when I got my butt over the back wheel for steep descents it got in the way.

u/fettuccine- · 1 pointr/Coachella

if you want a lower profile fanny pack solely for your valuables, money, keys, ID. look at runner's belts on amazon.

this is what i have and is about in between a runners belt and a regular fanny pack.

I think I'm gonna need a fanny pack/"fantasybag" (lol)

I need this bag because I'll be traveling to Germany for 3 weeks, and one can't just travel abroad without an obnoxious fanny pack! Fanny packs are made for international travel. It'll help me not lose my things/get things stolen AND all of the men will flock to me. ;)

Also, Butts are super funny! :D

u/NJDevils1493 · 1 pointr/WaltDisneyWorld

I've been using a regular sized backpack while my fiancee uses a fanny pack. After lugging around too much stuff, I realized that we only need another fanny pack. I bought this one (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GMTZLIS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it is pretty awesome!

u/sluggsnotdruggs · 1 pointr/bonnaroo

I bought this backpack/fanny pack combo last year and it was a game changer.

u/bkharmony · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

I have a friend who swears by this one.

u/day1patch · 1 pointr/bicycling

I have a rain jacket and rain pants as they fold up nicely on the bottom of my backpack, which itself comes with a raincover (most backpacks are far from waterproof without a rain cover). Don't forget a set of shoes at work, but I find that is the easiest item to keep at work as you don't need to wash them every day.

u/RockyGW · 1 pointr/electricdaisycarnival

I have been bringing in same brand/similar line (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OBVNAB0/ref=twister_B014T145PQ?_encoding=UTF8&th=1) and size for the last 3 years without any problem whatsoever.

u/Batteries4Breakfast · 1 pointr/bikecommuting

Fanny packs are fucking awesome, forget the haters. In the summer when I don't need extra gear/clothing I'll pack my lunch in one and set out to work. I have this one and it packs a loaded sandwich, several little baggies of snacks and a large piece of fruit (apple/orange/banana) easily and since it's not with my other stuff none of it gets smashed. They're also more aerodynamic than panniers, so for full day rides you can bring a lunch with you :)

u/CaptainCoral · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

LOL they really are! I hated them until I tried one - I use one like this, so when we go out it'll hold water for me and the dog, and then I can put my keys, phone, poop bags, treats, granola bar, etc. all inside --- no purse or backpack. I love it!

u/Flavorbaby13 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm going to the stagecoach festival this year for my first time ever, and I need a pimp Fanny pack to rock and hold my flasks! This one would totally work!
