They do make them, they're called in-line vent fans.

These carbon filters are used mostly in commercial spaces. In the United States they are commonly found in marijuana grow houses to move air outside. A carbon filter removes a high percentage of odors to reduce the risk of detection.

I like them in my home because I'm not a fan of buying other scented products that "mask" smells. When I walk into my home and my carbon filter is on it smells clean. I'm not sure if that clean smell is due to something from the carbon? Either way it's a clean, crisp smell that many people comment on and cannot be replicated by chemicals.

Cons: inline fans are loud and the system is a little bulky. Noise can be reduced by adding ducting to the end or buying insulated fans as referenced below.

Pros: I breath amazing air. You can cook/smoke inside your home and it's still going to smell amazing!

u/ColoradoBadger · 12 pointsr/microgrowery

Absolutely, here we go:

Essential Hardware

$80 Clones - $20 from dispensary.

$325 Lights: Horticulture Lighting Group 260 QB LED Kit

  • I cannot say enough about these lights. I had to run them anywhere from 50-75% during veg to prevent light burn. Great coverage for a 2x4 tent. Nothing but praise 10/10 would buy again.

    $70 2' x 4' x 5' Mylar tent

  • Holding up well, easy build. Is not 100% dark, light leaks outwards from spots along the zipper and pinholes but no light leak into the tent during dark.

$90 4" Inline duct fan and Carbon Filter

  • This puppy can SUCK, I have to keep it on the lowest setting to prevent the pressure inside the tent from dropping (need to work on my passive intake next grow). Carbon filter works great. Lowers humidity in a pinch.

    $10 - Ducting/Clamps from ACE

    $21 Osculating Fan

  • I have it on a small stand and osculating 24/7. It pushes air, not a jet engine though.

    Already on hand: Box Fan

  • Had one from years ago. Sometimes I open the tent and blast this on high right on level with the buds just go shake out the leaves, gets a bit crowded in the scrog and I'd like to eliminate any humidity caught between leaves sticking together. Think you can scoop one from Walmart for like $15 bucks, $20 max.

    $25 [Humidifier] (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sunbeam-Warm-Mist-Humidifier-SWM6000-BWM/32664862)

  • This puppy does well. I use the first setting, usually can run 16+ hours on a full reservoir of H20. No filter which keeps cost down, just need to clean it one or twice a week with a brush for the hard water deposits. 5-10 minute process.

    $45 Dehumidifier

  • This was a bit of a mistake purchase. I wanted to test and see if a small model offered on amazon (this looked to be one of the best for sub $50, and has the biggest holding tank out of them all) could put in any kind of noticeable work in a tent. What I noticed is that it will be able to roughly maintain humidity at times, after I run the exhaust fan to lower the levels. When the lights are out and the temperature drops, this thing has no chance. Go with a full size dehumidifier or rely on the dry Colorado air + passive intake + duct fan. I was struggling with humidity issues during the cold of the winter, now that I can have my windows open my ambient room humidity is usually 40% or below.

$18 4" inline duct booster fan

  • Also a mistake purchase. Does not move a lot of air. Had plans to use this for an airflow/passive (not) intake system but it's not worth the electricity cost to run this thing. I'd stay away.

    $13 Ph Meter

    $12 TDS PPM meter

$9 Soil Moisture, Light, Ph meter - Does it's job

    $9 Ph Control Kit

    $14 Ph Calibration solution

  • For the life of the Ph meter, I store the tip in 7.0 solution that I pour into the cap. Good to have on hand for calibration.

$6 Spray Bottles (Did not use these much, only very early during transplanting.)

$7 for 30ct Starter grow bags

  • Do not recommend, breathe terribly, water stagnates even with modifications. Had to feed lightly and often, and really monitor dampness. Needed these for the outdoor garden anyways)

    $18 Hygrometer for Temp/Humidity

  • Worth it to get the wireless monitor so you're not opening the tent all the time)

$8 for 6ct 5 gal Smart Pot knockoff

  • Do their job, hold up well. I cut the handles off to make watering under the scrog easier.

$40 - Soil: Two bags of Happy Frog. Ocean forest was sitting around.

    Nutrients: $165

  • I have a local grow shop that I purchased a lot of these from. The 1 litre Cyco nutrient bottles ranged from $10-$18 and I have 7 different nutrients - call that $100 after tax.

  • Grow A, Grow B, Bloom A, Bloom B, Dr Repair, Potash, Silica

  • I purchased Key to Life - Uptake For just shy of $20. Great for calcium uptake.

  • Cyco Grow XL Super Phosphoric Acid was $45 - not cheap for 100ml but I think the potential yield improvement will cover that cost, especially over 3-4 grows which I expect to get out of the bottle.

$13 - Scrog net: for something like 50-100ft of plastic garden fence from Home Depot. Using a lot of it for a garden.

$15 - Miscelaneous: Eyedroppers, duct tape, zip ties, and odds and ends: Call it $15.

So to total that all out we're looking just over 1000 that I spent, could have kept it under $950 if I had not purchased the small duct fan or dehumidifier. Also: Soil and nutrients for $205. Could work that down to under $150 by dropping a couple unnecessary yet desirable nutrients.

Sorry for the formatting! I'm going to do a big post write up and this is a great place to start at least. Thanks for the motivation.

> i basically just need a light and thats it? if i want to grow autoflower only

oh boi... alright here we go.

youll need duct fans for both ventilation and heat dissipation, especially if you go with HPS/MH lights 600/1000watts will require reflectors with ducting so you can connect to it. This will need to exhaust out of your tent. Then you will need a intake fan coming preferably from outside. Youll most likely also need a Carbon filter attached in series to your exhaust fan. Your light will have a ballast as well, which creates a good amount of heat so plan for that to be located outside your tent. Youll also need smaller fans in the corners so you can keep a good air circulation going (hurricane fans are great). Also consider using T5 lights when starting your seeds off as your higher wattage lights are not good for seedlings. Also get a few supplies like gorilla tape and duct clamps and anything else you might need to secure everything together.

When it comes to growing, even if you are only doing autos youll need smart pots, fertilizer, promix HP, perlite plus both vegging and flowering nutrients. Have access to PH up and down solution, and also get a Ph Pen + PPM meter (TDS).

Ive only linked amazon, there are probably other local options for you.

u/firecrackerrock · 10 pointsr/SpaceBuckets

Lights: I have the mars hydro 300 (132 true watts) as my main light on the top, and plan to add a couple strips for side lighting in the near future.

Ventilation: As you may see from the pictures, I have the heat exhaust on the top side. The exhaust is being pulled into a secondary tote. In the secondary tote I have a large carbon filter attached to a 6 inch inline fan with variable speed control. This kit. Definitely overkill but I like the room for expansion.

I plan to start growing in a 3 gallon smart pot knock off, with some ak-48 autoflower seeds.

I have really enjoyed watching this community grow through the years.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful contributions. Guys like /u/Ekrof, SAG, /u/Halfmpty, /u/exactly25smeckles, and the rest have really inspired me to try this for myself.

I would like to add some filtration to my passive intake, any suggestions?

Honestly, you are much better off grabbing everything from amazon and save over 500 dollars. I bought these before:

Tent (200 with taxes and shipping): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H9P51LW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Lights (300 with taxes and shipping):
http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK1000LS24-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B005ECZVXK/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-1&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

And then you have money for two fans:
http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-GYO2402-6-Inch-Hydroponic-Booster/dp/B003YFADW8/ref=sr_1_18?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-18&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

And a carbon filter (this one comes with a fan, so you only need another fan to bring air inside the tent:
http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-IF6CF620-Inline-Virgin-Charcoal/dp/B0052ZPMAG/ref=sr_1_10?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-10&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

I never bought a hydroponics system before, but amazon search yields some good systems for less than 700:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_10?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ebb%20hydroponic&sprefix=ebb+hydrop%2Caps%2C227&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aebb%20hydroponic

If you buy the system you describe, you might still need a tent or at least a carbon filter. I think you end up saving yourself money and you can get exactly what you need and add extra lights, etc as you move forward.

u/Kittamaru · 8 pointsr/DIY

Depends on the blade angles, shape, rotation speed, etc... a 6" fan can potentially move a metric shitton of CFM.

Case in point:

https://www.amazon.com/Hurricane-Inline-Fan-Performance-Ventilation/dp/B006Z1JLY4

That thing pushes almost 450 CFM - consider your average exhaust fan for a medium to large bathroom is around 100 CFM... they make an 8 inch version able to punt almost 750 CFM as well.

u/TheTrixsta · 6 pointsr/SpaceBuckets

I second this. This is what I use to filter my 3x3 tent.

All-Filters CP-6005 Cut to Fit Carbon Pad for Air Purifiers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000U204W2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ypR-Bb4QTMBKY

VIVOSUN 4 inch Inline Duct Booster Fan 100 CFM, Low Noise & Extra Long 5.5' Grounded Power Cord https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C82SYZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uqR-Bb4D3ADEY

And just used a hose clamp to clamp a piece of the carbon filter over the intake of the fan. So it sucks air from the tent outside. Keeps my tent at perfect temps and scrubs smell.

u/Arkanian410 · 6 pointsr/homelab

It’s easier (and cheaper) to suck heat out of a room than to forcefully cool it off.

I’m in the south as well. In the summer I siphon out hot air to an outdoor soffit exhaust vent. In the winter I can suck cold air from the other side of the house to dump in the lab room. Speed controlled by thermostat. Great system for the last 7 months.

AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4, Quiet 4” Inline Duct Fan with Thermostat Speed Control - Ventilation Fan Exhaust Fan for Heating Cooling Booster, Grow Tents, Hydroponics https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXWN3BG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Z712Ab7NAG406

u/freshmutz · 5 pointsr/HomeImprovement

I have 2 of these installed in my house:

Panasonic FV-20NLF1 WhisperLine 240 CFM In-Line Fan, 6-Inch Duct https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EDUIX2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qXhdAb0376KVX

They are awesome! We had a roofing company come out and install roof vents, and the flapper is contained in them, not the fan itself. The in-line fans are much quieter than a fan with the motor installed at ceiling level. And they are easier to install in my opinion since they just have to be screwed up to attic rafters.

u/MellyTheSmelly · 5 pointsr/microgrowery

The 600W LED I have has 2 built-in fans on top which keep it plenty cool. I keep the intakes open at the bottom of the tent and at the top of the tent I use a fan to pull air in through the carbon filter and out the back of the tent via flexible duct. I use this combo from Amazon filter/fan combo. Some people like to add a fan controller if the fan speed is too high and creating too much negative pressure or the fan runs too loud and doesn't need to be that high.

> How can I control odors when trimming, harvesting, and handling the plant in general outside of the bucket?

Ozone (controversial) or an open container of Ona with a fan blasting air over it. I do both at 3am when no one is likely to come over. I'll really crank up the ozone when I'm done and leave for an hour or so. Even being legal I still use this procedure.

The above is more for a harvest which can be very stinky. For steady odor control assistance you can drill a 1/4 inch hole or two in the lid of the Ona and just leave it in the living room.

ONA Pro works best in my experience but prefer the Apple Crumble. I have found that the Apple Crumble will not impart an odor on the plants if used in the same room.

>Do I need an air booster to use an inline carbon filter, or will a 12V PC fan have enough power on it's own?

Yes something. 12 volt PC fans often do not have enough static pressure for carbon filters. With AC fans you can use a light dimmer or a dimmer intended for inductive loads to control the fan speed if mechanical noise is an issue. The dimmers/speed controllers will usually generate some electrical noise or RFI.

https://www.amazon.com/Lighthouse-Hydro-Variable-Speed-Controller/dp/B00BLOSG7I

I can't really recommend a seed bank (I can buy clones) but they tend to be very discrete and with many you can mail cash. Their reputation would be severely harmed if they played any games here. Some accept bitcoin.

Someone else will have to recommend an online seed shop domestically. Sensi Seeds is likely the best due to original/better genetics but they are based out of Amsterdam. I would just pack the seeds in a small alarm clock and forget about it in the past when I smuggled seeds back to the US.

u/ShhhIGrowWeed · 5 pointsr/SpaceBuckets

The purpose of those lines is to create airflow to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. They function passively, so you should uncap them, for safety sake (or at least make sure a COO monitor is installed... fuck, I don't have one installed....). Notice how one inlet is (or was, or should be) at eye level, and the other is near the floor? That is to make use of when heat rises, the air near the inlet of one will rise out, and the cold air near the bottom of the other will sink, starting a circulating flow. Yes, this chills the basement, but, if it's unfinished that's OK.

a 100k but furnace may use rpoportionatly more air for combustion, but its in a controled space and a very efficient combustion, while the 54K burner will disperse the COO along the heat current it creates meaning you need to remove much much more air to gather all the gasses you should, than with just a sealed vented furnace. Also, there is a difference between inline duct booster fans, which aid in airflow, but lack dynamic pressure, and turbine fans which are both consistant rate and high dynaic pressure (meaning it would be able to pull air from a further distance with less drop in CFM)

These http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-GYO2402-6-Inch-Hydroponic-Booster/dp/B003YFADW8 won't work,

you'll need this http://www.amazon.com/Active-Air-720-Inline-8-Inch/dp/B002JQ4K1I

or for a quieter operation with better dynamic pressure, this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001I4DHJI/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687782&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B004C2IWIE&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1V2RCEEAMG31CYMSKC7B

I am not trying to be alarmist, but I know the math off the top of my head, because I've worked with it SOOOoo many times, and as they are for safety, I urge you to heed my warning.

u/Road2Greenery · 4 pointsr/microgrowery

A speed controller wouldn't really work for that duct booster. It's technically a duct booster and no where near the power of an actual inline fan. So it can be argued that duct booster you linked won't be strong enough to pull through a carbon filter and exhaust the heat in a timely manner. But going by the math and accounting for the carbon filter resistance you'll be able to change the air at the rate needed.

Temperatures is a different story though. As I don't know what the ambient temps run or how hot those mars leds run you're better off just getting http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-IF6-Inline-Duct-Fan/dp/B004YXDQZU/ref=sr_1_1?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1457749739&sr=1-1&keywords=ventech+inline+fan and a fan speed controller and turn that down. It's better to get a stronger fan and turn it down rather than to get a low CFM fan find yourself unable to manage the temps and need something stronger.

As far as the tent is concerned those cheapo tents tend to be a big hit or miss when it comes to light leak and construction. But it looks as if most of the people on here have cheapo tents with no problems. Nothing a bit of duck tape can't solve ^_^

u/Panama__Red · 4 pointsr/microgrowery

Everything looks good besides the ventilation. That fan lacks the static pressure needed to pull air through a carbon filter. You need something more like this, though I recommend a quality fan if affordable. Also, you want to pull air from the top of the tent. If you pull from the bottom, you are going to have hot, stagnant air above the filter.

You'll probably be alright, but a dimmable power supply is helpful, especially in a small space.

u/mastrkief · 4 pointsr/EtherMining

Right I guess what I mean is that you have to keep in mind that your gpu Temps show in celsius but you're reading your ambient Temps in Fahrenheit. So 109 is super hot for a human but is nice and cool for a gpu at only 42 degrees celsius.

There have been lots of posts on r/gpumining where people have done similar set ups to yours. To be honest in this situation having a smaller shed would be more beneficial because it'd be easier to expel the hot air which is the number one most important thing. You don't need to cool the air from the outside you just need circulation of air . You need to install one or two giant exhaust fans in the top of your shed and one or two at the bottom as intakes. Here is exactly what I'm talking about

In this guy's setup, his boxes are small enough that his giant ass exhaust fans actually are strong enough to suck air in the sides so he doesn't even need a separate intake fan. I doubt you'd be able to do the same though because of the size of your shed. I guarantee if you just invest in some quality fans. And I don't mean box fans I mean ones like this that will really start getting fresh air in and hot air out you will be fine and won't need the ac units. Especially because those ac units themselves use a lot of juice I imagine they've got to be wrecking your profits.

Just search on YouTube for "gpu mining shed" or "gpu grow tent" and you'll get a lot of good ideas. One YouTuber in particular id check out is Angry Chicken

I know this is a a complete rebuild but you might consider multiple smaller sheds like in the first link. Smaller enclosures allow for better circulation.

Either way, good luck!

u/Mitten_Punch · 4 pointsr/microgrowery

The best inline is one you can buy locally, and has a 3+ year walk-in with broken fan, walk-out with new fan, warranty. Grow/Hydro stores should have this. Also industrial supply. If your inline breaks, you can't wait 3 days for a new one in the mail. Much less sending it away for warranty repair.

If you are in a situation where you need to mail order, Active Air has been solid for me. Three on timers and one on 24/7 duty, no failures in 2+ years. Don't buy anything that looks like this.

u/615wonky · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

Start small. It'll save you money, let you get your feet wet, and help you learn how to grow better, and then you can buy bigger.

My "starter package" is:

  • A 2' x 2' x 3' grow tent - $55.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SWGYYWO

  • A grow light ($90). I prefer COB's as they're easier to fix than blurples.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I4NY8KW

  • A power strip zip-tied to a pole in the tent. Makes wiring prettier and easier. ($24) I chose a nice metal one, but you can use a cheaper one.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8ZQYHA

  • Hangers to hold the light ($8)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098R0600

  • A fan and filter ($70), and variac ($90) to filter smell and move air to keep things cool. This combo is overkill for this tent, but I ended up using it on later tents so it's a good long-term investment. You can cobble something cheaper together with some work, but this "just works" out of the box.

  • 5 gallon Smart Pot ($7) for growing, FoxFarm Ocean Forest Soil ($16.50), Plant saucer ($7) for growing. You can save some money here by shopping around. In particular, Amazon's price for FFOF is about double what I pay at the (very expensive) local "indoor gardening" center.

  • Seed of your choice (let's say $10).

So for about $420 (heh), you can get your foot in the door and start growing. This is a nice setup too, you can probably save $100 by shopping around, buying used, or doing-it-yourself. I've left off a few odds and ends like dryer duct, Fiskers for trimming, weed fabric pins for low-stress training, pitcher for watering, Mason jars for storage, but you can likely find those or suitable replacements around the house without spending money.

I also have a Raspberry Pi 3 ($43) with Sense Hat ($37) and metal case ($15) in each of my grow tents to log temperature/humidity and other things. I'm interested in eventually using the GPIO functionality to water my plants too. Not critical, but definitely a nice thing to have, especially if you're the hacker type. If you go this route, you might look at raspiviv.com too.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722L338Q

I'm glad I bought a good intro setup because I still use it now that I've upgraded. I now have a 3' x 3' GG Shorty tent with HLG 300 LED for flower, a 2' x 2.5' GG Shorty tent with two 400W Roleadro COB's for veg, and my "intro package" is now my germination/cloning tent (and drying tent too since several people suggested that too). Being able to have three tents (germination -> veg -> flower) working simultaneously is increasing my output quite sharply. I'm doing this to help a relative with cancer, so you may not need to go quite as crazy as I did.

You mentioned using 35+ gs (~1.25 oz) a month. You probably aren't going to be able to grow that much given the constraints of tent size and light wattage (plus being a first-time grower! You'll learn a lot!). So once you get used to it, you'll probably want to buy more stuff. Marijuana isn't addictive, but growing marijuana absolutely is.

Once you've got your hardware, the variable cost is seed (~$10), soil (~$5), nutrients (~$20), and electricity (~$30). From that, I'm going to estimate you can grow ~1.5 ozs (you can do more as you learn more though). So you're looking at ~$40/oz after you've made the initial hardware investment.

Hope this helps. Depression, cancer, and everything else can just go suck it.

Thank you for the response.

Suppose I do this:

  1. 18 gallon plastic tote

  2. 4" inline fan with carbon filter and speed controller

Then of course Lighting, etc, etc.

Now let's suppose I had one, maybe two plants, flowering in the corner of my basement. Would a visitor to my house, who was also in the basement, be able to smell it?

    Thanks again for your response.

u/FatZombieMama · 3 pointsr/portlandhomegrowers

You'll need to contain the plants inside a grow room or tent, then set up a way for fresh air to get in and smelly air to get out. You'll need a fan or blower to move air from the in-vent to the out-vent. On the out-vent end, set up a filter that the air has to go through, which will clean the odor from it.

An expensive but easy/effective way to do this is to buy a carbon scrubber with fan like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Q2ER5C

A much cheaper but DIY way is to set up a good fan and make sure all air passes through one or two layers of carbon filter fabric like this: http://www.amazon.com/Cut---Fit-Carbon-Pad-Purifiers/dp/B000U204W2

Edit: if you haven't looked at tents yet, there's a good selection at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=sr_aj?node=3480699011&ajr=0 - they make it much easier to control venting, lighting, temperature, humidity, etc. For 1-2 plants, don't go smaller than 4 square feet, and give yourself plenty of height.

u/johnnychronicseed · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

Normal fans do not move enough air and cannot handle static pressure well.

I used this one before upgrading to my Vortex S-Line and still use it to scrub my room during Harvest

Had some fun with LST the other day and can't wait to work on the plants some more. I really love how quickly the plants bounce back from the training. I included some more details in the pics regarding what I believe to be a calcium deficiency. Plants were fed with 1/4 strength nutes for the first time last watering. I also sprayed both plants with neem oil as a preventative measure last night.

That's a lot of money for a fan. You could always get a cheaper fan that moves more cfm and simply get a fan silencer. You would still save money at that rate and spend the rest on an enclosed hood or cool tube to help with temperature control.

Overall you're good.

Fan Silencer (out of stock at the moment, but cheaper): http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-FS-6-Muffler-Silencer/dp/B00HWILBSS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-3&keywords=fan+silencer

Fan silencer (more expensive, but in stock): http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-701200-Silencer-4-Inch-12-Inch/dp/B007ZU5YQS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-6&keywords=fan+silencer

Hood Upgrade: http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLRLS24-Hydroponic-Reflector/dp/B00BMVK8HG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225652&sr=8-1&keywords=air+cooled+hood

Fan and Carbon Scrubber Replacements: http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-IF6-CF6-B-Controller/dp/B0051HDECS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225799&sr=8-1&keywords=ventech+vt+if6

If you're going to be flowering in the tent, I would recommend lightproofing it, as well. Use only the ports in your tent for intake and cut some carbon filters to size. http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Pre-Filter-38002-Activated-Sheets/dp/B00LXIWNT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225982&sr=8-1&keywords=carbon+filter+sheet

Your tent is a little expensive, too. If that's the one you have your heart set on, go for it. As an alternative, I suggest http://www.amazon.com/MILLIARD-Reflective-Hydroponic-Mylar-Window/dp/B00ETBDX14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226158&sr=8-1&keywords=milliard+grow+tent

You will want a fan or two of some kind to circulate air inside the tent. 6 Inch clip fans are popular. I use a pair of 4 inch clip fans and a tower fan.

Make sure to look into a DIY Ona Bucket for smells. During flower it will stink up your room when you open the tent. Just turn the Ona bucket on a little before that and you're good. If you're really paranoid about smell, you can also get an inline carbon scrubber. They're pretty expensive and probably not necessary unless you pick some especially fragrant strains. http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-500-Inline-Filter-6-Inch/dp/B00CJIMUH2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226390&sr=8-1&keywords=phresh+inline

That's my $.02, anyway. There are much more experienced growers here.

I spent some more time today reading up on fans on some other forums. I've ruled out "booster fans" completely as it seems the only upside to those is the price. Noise and power seem to be the big trade off.

PC fans certainly are low cost and fairly quiet, but they also seem like they'll require a bit more work to get them installed in terms of adapting a square fan to round ducting/grow tent ports. They too seem to be at the low end in terms of power, and though I don't need a carbon scrubber with my current setup, it might be prudent to allow for one if required down the road...

So, now I'm leaning towards a proper centrifugal fan (eg. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005KMOJPK/ref=aw_2nd_sims_5?pi=SS115) along with a speed controller, as it seems they can be relatively quiet when running at lower speeds. The added benefit is that I could potentially cool a 400W HID with this fan if I decided to repurpose this little tent at some point.

Thoughts? Would a similar fan from Sunleaves (at three times the price) be significantly quieter?

u/ChubbyWinston · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

The lights are one for 18 hours and off for 6. Mine come on at 4 PM and go off at 10 AM.

I'm just using a power strip with a built in timer. Like this. Half the outlets are on a timer, the other half are always on.

I used to keep my fans on the timer as well, but I recently swapped them out for quieter models that are less powerful/noisy. Now I just run the fans 24/7. My main fan has a thermostat in it and will slow down and speed up depending on the temperature in the tent. I find it convenient as I work from home and my tent is in my office. If I didn't sit in the same room as the tent all day, I'd probably just stick with a cheap duct fan like this. It's easy to overdo it with fans in a small tent. I originally bought a big 6" fan but it was overkill. My carbon filters died fast because I was pushing so much air through them and it made more noise than I could stand.

My setup is pretty simple and cheap, but it grows more than I can smoke and I don't have to spend much time worrying about it. I pretty much just did a little research, went on amazon found a grow tent, and bought all the 'people that buy this also buy...' stuff.

u/LightsSword1 · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

What you want is one of these kinds of fan:

https://www.amazon.com/Hurricane-435-CFM-Inline-6-Inch/dp/B006Z1JLY4/ref=pd_day0_469_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B006Z1JLY4&pd_rd_r=63GQ560MCDYKBTZ6BQP9&pd_rd_w=IwCoq&pd_rd_wg=UxPaB&psc=1&refRID=63GQ560MCDYKBTZ6BQP9

And you plug it into one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Variable-Controller-Hydroponic-Inline-Vortex/dp/B00CJ14YVY

I'm not endorsing either product specifically, just giving an example.

If you're in a legal state or just feel more comfortable shopping around online, you should be able to find a "complete kit" of fan+filter+controller+ducting for under $150+shipping for 4" sizes.

u/emptynestingent · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

When air is moving we dont think that there is an electric motor turning it but not getting the benefit of the air since we redirect it. A little noise to make sure there isnt a fire is a fine exchange. If it is too loud this way try moving it in the attic away from any walls.

This is the fan set up I use and once its mounted it stays quiet.

So I've put two Mars hydro 600 watt lights in a 2x4x5 tent and if I left it sealed up it will get too hot of course. In that tent I can get away with a 240cfm duct fan at the top vent hole of the tent and be in the 80s. I still have to leave the tents flap open or it gets too hot even with one clip fan and a large standing fan aimed at the tent door. This is in a cool basement and it's not even summer yet. I'm actually in the market for a couple of 300-400 CFL inline fans that are somewhat quiet if anyone knows of any. Looking at this one

u/4twen_t · 3 pointsr/microgrowery

Absolutely! You can get as crazy as you want with it, but there are some basics you need to figure out before you really start.

Where are you growing this plant? Do you have a space you're going to use? A closet, an unused bathroom, the basement? Are you going to be purchasing a tent, or maybe emptying out a dresser like this?

The light choice is one you can spend many (too many) hours on. LEDS have their benefits and drawbacks, as do CMH. Heat is more of an issue with CMH, but LEDs can also pump out serious heat. CMH is easy to know what to buy, no real dialing in the height, no worry you're not getting the right spectrum, etc. I'll probablu go LED at some point, but for now CMH is easier (for me). This is the CMH kit I started with. Ballast, bulb, reflector all included. if you have an option for the light, you'll want to get one that is 3100K and NOT the 4000K. 3100K is not as good for veg, but is great for flower. You can detatch the ballast from the reflector - helps keep temps in the tent down, since you can place the ballast outside.

How are you going to deal with heat? Lights run hot, and you WILL need to manage it at some point. Check my previous posts to see my light tube setup.

How are you going to deal with smell? Smell will be an issue, no ifs ands or buts. You can DIY carbon filters, but only if you trust yourself to do it right and hope it won't fail. You will need a carbon filter and fan to manage the smell. I'm running a 6" inline fan with a CAN33 filter. There is 0 smell from the exhaust, the filter is clutch. If noise is an issue for you, fans are decently loud running at full tilt. To work around this, a speed controller on a larger diameter fan, turned down to a lower speed, will reduce noise significantly while giving you the same airflow as a smaller fan on high.

You'll need to get soil and nutrients. Myself and a lot of growers really like Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. FF Happy Frog is another good one. Get fabric pots if you can - lets the roots breathe a bit.

The above is very, very basic starting info. An enclosed space to grow; an exhaust fan and odor control; full spectrum light; water and nutrients.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

>A year later it's still pretty great but sometimes cuts out after about 20 minutes of use... at the very worst moment it's cut out a couple of times now.

That's actually a built-in "feature" of the Magic Wand Rechargeable to keep it from overheating. Which seems unnecessary because the toy doesn't really get hot and you can turn it straight back on after, but yeah. It's got a 20-minute auto shut off.

>are all three of these the same crappy wand just different colors and labels ?

Probably. There are a lot of white label sex toys on the market, meaning they're made by a single manufacturer and any company can order them with their own branding to sell as their own.

>Must:
>
>have a scrolling speed control wheel
>
>just as powerful as the Hitachi or more so
>
>not spending $150+ ... ideally lets keep it under $100

I don't think you're going to find a single toy that ticks all of these boxes, unfortunately. The only scroll wheel vibes I know of are lower quality and definitely weaker than all three of the Magic Wand iterations.

Also keep in mind that RPM doesn't actually indicate the power of a wand, just the speed of its motor. Depending on the individual motors there can be higher RPM toys that are weaker than lower RPM ones, like the Magic Wand Rechargeable's 6,300 RPM on high versus the Magic Wand Original's 6,000. The Original is still slightly stronger in use.

If you want, your best bet for all those features might be to get the Magic Wand Original, swap the porous head with Vixen's Off With Your Head silicone replacement, and pair the toy with a router speed controller for incremental adjustment. (Keep in mind that this may shorten the lifespan of the motor, but a lot of Magic Wand fans swear by it.)

Otherwise, the Magic Wand's only real competitor for strength is the original Doxy Massager (their Die Cast is a bit weaker and also over your budget), but it's got button controls and a PVC head.

u/Havage · 3 pointsr/homelab

I never thought about venting to the attic. I think, as others have suggested, I'll flip the fans to be intakes instead of exhausts, add filters on the inlets and use this to vent up to the attic.

Okay 4 plants with good genetics can yield just as much weed as 6 plants with lesser genetics.

So here is what I recommend.

Tent: 4x4 minimum with 5x5 preferred because it gives you room to walk in the tent which saves your back and also gives you room for extra equipment inside the tent, buy Vivosun they are good quality and have excellent zippers.

A fan for the bottom of your tent for circulation.

Something to elevate your planter off the ground.

A powerbar that's rated 50% more amps than you are plugging into it.

Something to measure your temperature/humidity and depending on the temperature/humidity maybe a humidifier or dehumidifier

Maybe a clip on fan for circulation above the canopy.

Ratchet cord for hanging stuff.

Maybe clippers for defoliating and eventual trimming.

Stuff to tie with for training your plant and maybe a scrog net if thata for you.

Happy growing :)

Edit: sorry, accidentally replied to main post instead of your reply!

Edit: apology 2, forgot that you were looking to do this all under $200. Will be tough. Might be cheapest to just start with a little nutes and start piecing your tent setup together over some time.

I agree Mars Hydro is a great tent for a great price, you could get a vivosun if you want to save 35$ or a gorilla tent if you want to spend 335$ extra but I would go with the Mars Hydro.

Thanks! The reason I was wondering about phosphorus deficiency is due to the purple stems and leaf veins. It was mentioned to me that was not normal. In all honesty, I thought the plants were ok before then. There are a few with some wilting leaves and some of the lower leaves on a few plants started to curl on the edges. It may have gotten too warm inside the tent the other day. I’m ordering a ventilation system on Thursday from Amazon. Here it is. Ventilation System It’s supposed to monitor the temp and humidity and adjust fan speeds as needed. Thank you for your help and also for that link! I’m going there now.

Looks like the lowest it's been new on amazon was $119 and used was $110. I plan on getting the one shown that includes the controller and another stand-alone which they say will be available at the end of this year.

edit: looks like op is talking about the S6 and we are thinking T6.

u/Investinwaffl3s · 2 pointsr/homelab

Ghetto rig it then.

Cut a 6" hole in the top of the rack, use some dryer/ventilation ducting and an inline fan. Most are speed controllable, could also add a temperature based controller.

Dump the heat back into the same room if it is air conditioned (probably want a return), but likely it is does not have a return - so you can also dump it outside the room. Don't vent outside of your conditioned space or you will be pulling hot air from outside the house due to the negative pressure

I don't smell my plants with my 4x4 closed. So the same thing should apply for you. Since you are venting outside you should be fine. It may be an light odor in the room. But it shouldn;t smell up the whole room until you open the tent.

This is the best on teh market. https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-CLOUDLINE-S6-Controller/dp/B07FPFVZTZ/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=ac+infinity&qid=1554815892&s=gateway&sr=8-6 There one with a humidity control as well. Purchased my UniFi Switch 16 last September. Prior to my purchase I had done research much like you have. I read the same negative reviews and posted a similar question to the UniFi Forums. The majority of the replies related positive experiences.

My Switch 16 has been up and running in a rack in our master closet since late September 2018. We have two AP’s, a CKG2+ and 11 UniFi cameras connected to and powered by the switch. One additional port was used to distribute the network further via a non-POE switch. The remaining ports are used for non-POE connections. Total POE consumption hovers right around 60 watts.

Over the winter and into spring we never heard the fan come on once. As summer set in (90’s-100”s most days) I noticed the fan coming on. It was loud but didn’t disturb us due to the location of the rack. Knowing heat is the enemy of all electronics I purchased an in-line duct fan to create positive air flow into the rack from outside the closet. This was the fan I purchased Link.

The internal switch fan hasn’t come on again and the temperature typically runs around 62 C most days. No regrets and would purchase again. I will report back if it acts up right after the warranty expires but so far it hasn’t missed a beat.

Alright taking into consideration the 12 plant limit here, my previous setup was too big for so few plants. So with some downsizing hopefully saves even more!

I don't know about fan speed controllers, depends on your fan I guess. The fans I purchased had speed controllers with them.

u/TheNomadicHermit · 2 pointsr/Autoflowers

Thanks. Good call. I honestly probably won't be using it much though. It's more just a troubleshooting tool if my plants aren't happy, and for checking initial pH of my RO water so I knew when the membrane and DI resin were broken in. I've got a great TDS meter which is my primary tool for testing my water - if TDS goes over 1PPM measured, time for a new membrane. pH of the RO shouldn't fluctuate widely enough to be deleterious, so I don't foresee using it much, unless my plants are unhappy and I need to check my parameters to troubleshoot.

It seems accurate? it was cheap af and had a high rating so i just said fuck it. It wasn't a necessity item.

I'm such a fucking dork. The thing I'm most excited about (not pictured/still en route) is the exhaust fan. Thermostatically/hygrometrically programmable. Gonna play around with dropping my temps the last few weeks to try and induce purpuration. Cloudline T4, in case you're curious.

u/ZenMercenary · 2 pointsr/gpumining

I made an exhaust system with this fan: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XBXFPD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4l6EAbYT8JHK9

I have drop ceiling, so I just mounted it above the ceiling and put an intake vent in the basement ceiling and an exhaust vent in my living room floor on the main level.

I'm not sure what I'll do in the summer, but it wouldn't be hard to just install a T into the ductwork and run a line to a nearby window. In my case, the nearest window is quite a ways away so I might just have to install a small exhaust onto the side of my house

u/CBD_Hound · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

If your house has conditioned air, you might be able to draw off of that to cool your cabinet in the attic. A small cabinet can be cooled by a 4" line and a real exhaust fan. Install a bathroom fan style ceiling grate in an out of the way place (spare bedroom closet?) and no one will know what's up there. Just, uhh, don't pull from the bathroom... Not only would you suck bathroom smells into the tent, but if your bathroom fan is powerful enough and the door is shut, it could conceivably pull air from the tent into the bathroom 😬

Look for a fan that can do in the neighbourhood of 200cfm, preferably with a speed controller. I have this Vivosun one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01DXYMGOM but if you're not on a budget, this one would be excellent: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B06ZXWN3BG

Avoid the super cheap "booster" fans, they're only useful as an add-on in the middle of a long run.

Id' just install a fan in that hole. However, you MUST ensure it is rated for kitchen use. I had to install mine 45 degrees away from the stove.

I bought this one last year and it's great. It is so quiet we barely know it's on:

You could use this in the hole: (I used two):

Then I bought some 6" duct and a vent through the side of my gable. It did not take long to install.

I did hire an electrician to install the on/off switch and wire it all up though.

Ha no that's not concrete. That's just either plaster or gypsum from your ceiling.

I have no idea if they still make round units like this to replace old NuTones. Even if they do, I can't imagine they work nearly as well as a standard modern square model.

I'd normally tell you to just get a standard Panasonic Whisper model, make that hole square and big enough to accommodate it (not hard at all) and call it a day.

BUT, you have attic access which is a huge bonus. You could actually have the best of both worlds if you got an inline model. You'd mount it on a nearby rafter or joist, and run a short duct to your existing round ceiling hole. No retrofit necessary. :-)

EDIT: Obviously, if you get an inline model, you'll lose the light. But maybe that's not a deal-breaker in your situation.

Depends on the strain and the temperatures in the tent. Most likely there will be smell even with a small grow. I have a friend that has a box in his basement and uses one of these fans to pull air through a 14 inch carbon filter 24/7. With one plant and a 150 HPS it get extremely smelly w/o the filter.

u/entrpn · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Honestly, don't bother with this project and instead get something like this; its almost the same price you would spend on a power supply. If you use it as an exhaust fan and you have an infan hole in your cabinet, it will just suck the air from the outside without needing another fan.

Hi, I would appreciate some critical feedback and suggestions regarding the setup I have in mind for a new grow tent, specifically related to ventilation. So far I have concluded that a 3'x1.7'x5' grow tent is the right size for my space (a spare bathroom), and towards that end I have purchased this tent and a 400W cool tube lamp.

For ventilation, what I am envisioning based on my research is a two fan setup: a 6" inline duct fan to cool the lamp (like this one) and a 4" inline duct fan with a carbon scrubber to exhaust the tent (like this one), presumably with speed controllers for each.

Again, this is going in a bathroom where I plan to hijack the existing ceiling exhaust ducting that leads outdoors. Thus I will need to couple the two fans from the lamp and the tent exhaust and plumb it into the ceiling.

Does this seem reasonable and appropriate? I am having a hard time picturing exactly how the carbon filter works - can I put it inline with ducting as I have drawn, or does the business end of the filter go inside the tent?

u/codec92 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

First off, i'm simply recommending them, the stuff you got works but theyre a bit over priced so i'm going to recommend a few cheaper stuff.

You can get away with a 4'' fan/filter/duct with the grow space tent you provided. heres a recommended one.

Your tent and led is fine
Ph up and ph down is fine as well, i recommend getting a digital ph and ppm meter combo on amazon, doesnt matter if theyre cheap, they'll work.
As for your timer, i highly recommend this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042I5FF6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That timer will give you the ability to upgrade to two led if you want too in the future.
Don't forget hangers for the lights.

u/thatsnotmybike · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

You want a centrifugal or a "mixed flow" fan, with the latter being supposedly quieter. I just ordered one of these to replace my pair of cheapo axial fans: Can Max Mixed Flow 6" 334cfm

None of these fans are silent by any means. The cheap axial fans are the loudest in my experience.

Paired with a speed controller, carbon filter and insulated ducting, the centrifugal fan cooling my lights is fairly bearable.

u/lunaticfringe80 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Funny, I'm sitting here drawing a diagram to upgrade my ventilation right now.

Temps are consistently between 72-78 as long as ambient stays around 70. Keeping ambient low is the trick, unless you can pull air from outside or vent outside, which is what I'm trying to work out right now.

I've got one of these on full blast pulling air from the upper part of the veg tent and venting through an HID hood in the flower tent. I have a cheap duct booster for intake. Right now it just vents to the 400sq ft room the tents are in. I'll add some pics in a few.

u/huskypup · 2 pointsr/Homebrewing

Here you go. Don't ask why it has a leather jacket, maybe it's in a gang?

u/t1me4change · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I would just get a fan / filter combo like this - VenTech VT IF6+CF6-B Inline Exhaust Blower Fan with Carbon Filter and Variable Speed Controller, 440 CFM, 6" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051HDECS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qURgzbNF9GVP3

Extra plants don't necessarily equate to more yield if they are fighting for space and light.

u/TheFAPnetwork · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I just posted a few pics of my second grow. I use a 440 CFM carbon fiber scrubber. The physical carbon scrubber is mounted inside at the top of the tent. I'm running 6 inch duct which is a bit extreme because my tent is 2x4x5. So, the scrubber is mounted, with a six inch duct from there, leading into my air cooled hood. Another six inch duct runs out of the hood and up towards the ceiling of the tent where it goes into the intake fan and led away from the tent.

Before I had an air cooled hood and carbon fiber scrubber (my first grow), I was constantly battling heat issues with a 400w light. I had two six inch inline fans, one bringing in fresh air and one pulling hot air from the top. Then I had two cooling fans inside the tent to move the air around the tent. It was crowded with four plants that stretched because I didn't have a proper cooling system. Average temps where mid, to high, 80s (26°+ c). In the end I made out okay with no problems 5.2oz with no stress training.

Here's my scrubber It's huge, but I don't need any other fans except the two blowing on my girls to strengthen their stems and roots. Just a thought.

u/admnstrator · 2 pointsr/news

hell yeah. There are activated carbon air scrubbers that you can even make on your own. Essentially all it needs to do is pass air through the filter. You can pick up activated carbon at pet stores. They sell it for fish tanks. Youtube has all kinds of DIY instructions for building an air scrubber.

If you have the money and don't feel like getting creative with some lowes buckets and a house fan though, you can get whole kits at amazon. Now keep in mind, the one I linked to is pretty nice, but you still need to get the duct tubing and if heat is an issue in your grow area, you'll most likely use this as an exhaust, but from what I've read they are your best solution.

u/samsreddit92 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

If you're going to grow in your closet (which sounds like the best option) you will want a carbon filter to prevent it from stinking up your place. You can buy carbon filter/fan combos on amazon that are very reasonably priced. This is a good option for a closet size grow.

u/JRexZilla · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

The one light will work and it's the one thing I wouldn't go cheap on. You could get the smaller size and still be ok. As for the carbon filter [this one on Amazon] (http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-IF4-CF4-B-Controller/dp/B005GJ7TFE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449034018&sr=8-2&keywords=4inch+carbon+filter+fan+combo) comes with a speed controller which is great for reducing noise and controlling temps. You can mount the fan in the tent or out. It will sound like a fan is running 24/7. No different then a window fan. None of my house guests comment on it. Plus a nice filter and high power fan will be far less noticeable then weed stinking up the whole house.

As for number of plants I would do 3-4 on the first go so you get the hang of it and can make a mistake on one or have a male and not feel bad. The plants will grow as big as you want to allow. They will fill in all the space that is available. Also read up on trimming up all the lower growth once you flip light cycles so you get maximum large main nuggets. For example I had two sugar black rose in 5gal (19L) buckets and got about 200g dried. Now I'm doing one plant in a 10gal (38L) and it's much more hearty and bush like, explosive with growth, and yield should be similar. So if you want a lot of one strain go big or always do 2 so if you loose one you can just up pot real big and still expect a similar yield each time you harvest. Also 2 months is a tight time window it may be more like 3+ you can't rush nature :) going up to a larger pot as soon as you can allows the plant to get big right away. Keeping them in cups or starter pots longer then a few weeks it will grow more leaves when roots are stable, going up to larger pots right after that allows the roots to reach out more and gain large new growth. Only up pot about 3 times. You can always veg for as long as you want and flower will run another 6-8 weeks depending on the strain.

You may be fine with that fan, you just need to monitor the air flow you are getting with it. If your not feeling much air exit out of your filter or if the enclosure doesn't seem to have any negative pressure you may want to upgrade. Something like this: VenTech IF4 4" Inline Duct Fan 190 CFM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KMOJPK/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_u3rDxbFJWWDD1

I have a similar tent and I just started my first grow about 3 weeks ago. I was having issues similar to you. I was above 80 degrees and low humidity. It burned my first plant right up. I fixed it with three things:

  1. This exhaust fan - Just put it on the outside top of your tent so that it pulls all the hot air that has risen to the top out.
  2. I put 7" ducting in the bottom vents to keep them open at 100% for intake. You could put one of these in the hole and it would really help the temp a lot. Put that fan you have in the tent directly in front of the intake hole at the bottom as to maximize the amount of fresh, cool air you pull in the tent.
  3. A humidifier. I went to goodwill, found a 2.5 gallon for $15 and it works perfect. Before I was at like 15% RH in the tent, now Im above 50%

EDIT: Now I get ~70-74 degrees F inside the tent.
u/brandstone · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Probably not. What kind of fan is it? Moving air through a filter is very difficult unless the fan is designed for that purpose.

This would probably work, but this would definitely not. Even though it has more CFM. I made this mistake a while ago, and wasted money I could have spent elsewhere.

u/ExplodingLemur · 2 pointsr/lasercutting

I use a 6" duct inline blower with a vent to the roof.
On the laser itself I have a rectangular to 4" adapter that slots right into the back of the laser (sealed up with aluminum tape), a 4" flex hose, and a 6" to 4" reducer to connect to the blower.

u/NilsDougan · 2 pointsr/lasercutting

Mine is a generic Chinese 80W. Perhaps a properly built machine has more power draw but mine is nowhere near 2500W. I have something like this for exhaust. My chiller is overboard for sure (1/2 HP cooler) and sits on a separate circuit. My original circuit still has enough free amperage for me to run a hand sander occasionally though, so I know I'm not at the edge of tripping it, and if I had a more reasonably sized chiller would all fit together.

Here's my [Speed controller for fan.] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006NGI2RS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) This was definitely overkill, I just didn't trust cheaper voltage regulators, plus I can and have used it for other things. Pretty well made, works great, it was only like $70-$80 when I got it though.

This was my other option, but obviously I can't vouch for it.

EDIT: I'm not an electrician so I may have been unnecessarily worried, and even now I am not 100% clear with all the mixed reviews and info around fans and speed controllers.

u/skoomd1 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I have been using an ipower 4" centrifugal fan for a couple months and for the style of fan it is, it is pretty quiet and doesnt make any rattles/wobbles or anything even when hooked up to a controller. It's really well made, solid aluminum and I had no issues hanging it in my 2x4 tent with all my other lights and stuff. Just dont EVER buy the ipower filter to go with it. They're total junk.

But it definitely isnt on the top of my list for best fans. If you'd be willing to bump up to 6" while staying around the same CFMs (which allows you room to upgrade to bigger tent in the future too) then hands down check this fan out.

They're practically silent, which is just awesome! Only moves 350cfm versus most other 6" which do 440cfm but in your space, and all the way up to about a 4x4' it is plenty. Ive heard nothing but good things about them, im gonna pick one up for next grow,.

u/EdiblesDidmeDirty · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Get this fan. Proper ventilation is super important for many things.

Seeing as you want LED, Mars Hydro is a good option for the price. For my 3x3x7 space I have a 900 watt LED, a bit strong but its working great.

Im always going to recommend more natural techniques, so if you are interested give this a thorough read

u/lobster_roll18 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Thanks! I used this fan with this speed controller, but i found the speed controller only worked over a very small range on the dial. I will likely replace the fan when I automate it with a Rapsberry Pi controller.

u/Probably_Not_Evil · 2 pointsr/minipainting

Thought I'd chime in. I just got my airbrush compressor and airbrush last Friday. But I'd done a bit of research and had a plan.

I built this out of parts from Amazon totaling $50 and a cardboard box.

The main components are:
An air filter. Try and get something that filters more particulates. Like smoke, mold and pollen, but a nice one if you aren't blowing the stuff outside.

A cheap 4in hose like you'd have behind your dryer.

This thing. Dust Hood for 4-Inch Hose

And the Air Motivator

Though I'd recommend getting a different vent booster, as this one is a bit weak. But it does work. The great thing about a vent booster is 2 fold. It's already 4 inches wide so it fits right on the 4 in hose. And it's at the other end of the hose. So the noise is very muted. Though this fan is pretty quite. I'd say it's more quite than a tiny desk fan.

Oh. And we can't forget. About a kilometer of Duck Tape.

u/shadow_moose · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I have a similarly sized tent and I use this fan with this speed controller. It seems to provide very good suction and the controller does not cause the fan to hum or anything. I estimate 10+ full air cycles per minute with this thing going at full blast. I'm running a Mars 600 and a home built 240W COB setup to supplement, pulls about 500W at the wall and my tent is at about 75 F with 60% humidity. Intake air is about 62 F right now.

I would always go 6 inch, simply because that gives you the option to run the fan at 50% power and still get more CFM than you would with a 4 inch.

One thing to consider is the cost of carbon filters if you're worried about smell. My neighbors don't care so I vent outside, but a 6 inch carbon filter will cost at least $50 more than the 4 inch equivalent. Granted they can move more air and will last longer, but still certainly something to consider.

u/SiLhoueT_Te · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I see you have 4" ducting but trust me you're definitely going to want to have this, thankfully 6" ducting isn't to expensive. Also buy these, so much easier than duct tape and these for managing the ducting. This and this too for supporting the inline fan and filter, the inline fan at full power will vibrate very slightly and I feel that the bungee cords help minimize vibration. I usually use zip ties for managing cords but also as a precautionary measure, I have a few loosely secured zip ties on my inline fans just in case a bungee cord were to become unsecured which that has never happened thankfully but you can never be to safe.

u/7uc · 2 pointsr/electricians

No, it's not safe. Expect either the fan or the dimmer to overheat and possibly catch fire. Light dimmers are designed to dim lights, not control fans or electric motors.

You might try a fan speed controller, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Variable-Controller-Hydroponics-Exhaust-Adjuster/dp/B00U3LD1WA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1466731230&sr=8-10&keywords=fan+speed+controller

u/RainyDayWoman12n35 · 2 pointsr/Autoflowers

I'm sure the fan will help but check whatever user guide that came with your light to be sure. The last thing you want is a fire. If you have the space and resources, having an exhaust fan like this to pull air out of near the top of your tent will do wonders for temp control.

u/Doodydud · 2 pointsr/gpumining

It's a hot mess at the moment and I don't have a good photo, but here are the pieces:

u/abovethebelt · 2 pointsr/canadients

You again! Thanks for your help :)

I've also read that booster fans aren't great if carbon filters are involved and I'd rather have too much power than too little. I'm legally only allowed to grow 4 plants so I don't think my setup will ever expand beyond a 2'x4' tent, 3 plants at a time. Your 10x12 room is much larger than my small tent, so perhaps a booster is sufficient even with a filter?

It sounds like a 6" inch inline fan is almost overkill since I'll likely be running it on low full-time. I also use my grow-room as a small office so quiet is preferred.

I"m wondering if a 4" inline duct fan with a carbon filter is the way to go, or do you still recommend a 6" inline with the carbon filter, at low setting? I'm looking at this fan on Amazon. The total cost is $193CAD including filter/ducting. There's only $10 difference between 4" and 6" so 6" is likely better.

First, welcome to the enclosure club! You'll love the cost savings and lack of heat.

Here are a few points I'd like to make:

  1. Install fans at the top of the unit
  2. Ensure you have the proper air flow. Here is a document explaining how to calculate flow in enclosures.
  3. Space out your fans. Unlike the photo you posted, you don't want to necessarily just draw air out of one central point. This can cause hot spots and some cards may not be cooled as well as others.
  4. Leave headroom in the enclosure for hot air to collect. This may not seem important, but my cards get a LOT warmer when moved three feet closer to the top.

You're looking for inline fans. I personally run Vivosun 440cfm units. I ran only one when I had three rigs in my tent, but after moving my ASICs in, I'm hooking up a second to improve temps a bit more.

You can use conventional 6" dryer duct to move the air, but make sure you get the proper worm clamps and a Wye splitter (or better yet, two venting outlets for improved flow). The straighter the ducting, the better flow you will get.

Here is an old video that I uploaded showing when I just had two rigs. This is how it looks now, and creates quite a bit more heat.

    Good luck with your build!
u/ayn-ahuasca · 1 pointr/HVAC

I used one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-FV-20NLF1-WhisperLine-In-Line-6-Inch/dp/B000EDUIX2

Placed in basement utility room. Intake of duct fan comes from the output side of the 3rd floor system. Output of duct fan blows to a register in basement.

So when I turn this fan on it turns over the air from all three floors. In the winter we heat with a wood-burning stove on the basement level so this helps keep everything stable. In the shoulder seasons where we have only light cooling needs, it lets us only run cooling only on the third floor and the other floors balance out. In summer we run both ACs.

I have a Panasonic Whisperline 6" fan that I use to vent the hot air from my server cabinet. It wasn't cheap, but it is SUPER quiet. I have it sitting on top of the server cabinet 3 feet from my head when I am at my desk and I don't even notice it most of the time. It is seriously quieter than my bathroom fan, but it moves up to 240CFM. The cheap "grow room" fans you see on amazon are loud as hell. It is worth it to spend the extra money on a good name brand. The Panasonic is industrial rated for continuous 24/7 use (unlike the burn-your-house-down Chinese fans), and if installed remotely (like in an atic) is basically silent.

> programmable power strip so I can set it to fan for as low as one minute a time several times throughout the day. Guess I should go pick up a fan

Automating as much as you can really makes your life easier, and you'll get more consistent results.

I used a setup where I had a duct booster fan blowing fresh air and the output of an ultrasonic humidifier and a small space heater into a 25 foot length of dryer duct that I piled into a plastic bin. The fan, humidifier, and blower (and lighting) were on X10 controllers to switch them on and off.

I had a scheduler program on the computer that would switch on the humidifier, and heater (if needed) then run the fan to blow the fresh air down the duct. The purpose of the duct was to give the water droplets time to evaporate; by the time the air reached the grow chamber it was nice warm and wet, but not dripping.

Once I got it all dialed in and added a thermometer in the grow chamber it was easy to maintain the right conditions with very little effort.

Yeah dude, as a general FYI amazon is where I get EVERYTHING because you can get free delivery and no neighbors will know what you bought.

For your small grow, I would try and find the smallest carbon filter they sell. You might not actually have too much of a problem without one if you're only growing one or two plants (unless you don't have a medical card in which case better safe than sorry).

EDIT: You could probably use this filter and this inline fan. I've used about 3 of those inline fans in my grow and they're pretty solid.

u/RSLASHTREES_NAZI · 1 pointr/microgrowery

I use Can-Fan 4" for cool-air intake. I use a General 6" exhaust from amazon.

Besides that I have the run of the mill oscillating fan bathing them in sweet little whispers.

Beneath the reflectors hanging by some ratchet straps is a Booster Fan to act as a ghetto air cooling system for the hoods, and push the air towards the exhaust.

I live in a cold climate, and this tent is in my basement; so cool air intake is usually between 65-69 degrees. In the winter 59-65.

The Aussie Blues is 90% Sativa and already had drooping leaves closest to the flower, but no twisting. Note that the plant looks healthy otherwise, all the leaves have a nice even color and are perky. Do certain strains look like this when flowering?

Also it is growing a lot of popcorn, should I trim this off before it develops more?

>Can you explain your buckets air flow and air filtration?

My bucket has two passive 120mm intakes that are covered with mesh filters and a single 120mm exhaust in the lid that connects to a 4" flange with dryer ducting. There is a 4" 190 CFM In-Line fan connected to a 4x12 Carbon Filter. I also have a variable fan controller on the in-line fan. I run mine at about half power.

>What do you have your plant in? Planter and soil on the bottom of bucket ect?

I use a 5g nursery pot. For my next grow I will be switching to a smart pot to avoid it getting rootbound.

>I was thinking of extending a 5g bucket under the brute can so the soil is under the setup and the plant itself is in the brute only allowing more space to grow.

If you're gonna do that you're better off getting one of those 5g DWC setups. With that said, I'd advise against doing that. Reason being is you add another layer of complexity in that you have to figure out how to support the brute and you run risks with light leaks. This also puts the brute much higher than you are which can make servicing/watering awkward.

I just have mine sitting on the bottom of the bucket in the pot. The newer style Brutes cause you to lose a few inches but if you can budget to buy two of them and use one as a spacer, it works well.

>Would that work or would I have an issue with temperature difference between roots and plant?

Probably not because then you will have stale old air sitting in your bucket when plants need fresh air in order to grow properly. I'd 100% recommend getting a cheap pc fan for intake man, at the very LEAST drill some holes lower down for passive air intake(and I don't mean small homes, 1/2" at the bare minimum, and a lot of them). What do you mean carbon filter? The fan I was talking about is this one:

It is very sturdy, simple, and moves a shit ton of air. There is no real use imo with adding a carbon filter on the intake unless you have really gross smelling air or something outside of your bucket. You COULD add a carbon filter to the exhaust if you wanted to help keep the weed smell down later in your grow, but that isn't until late veg/all of flower.

I had the same problem in an older house -- heat rises to the second floor AND it's farther away from the central AC. What you really need is a duct boost fan, which will double the air being pumped to the second floor. You can buy them at any home store for under $30. They can be activated by a sail switch (which senses the flow of air and turns on the fan to boost the flow) or a solenoid that turns it on when the furnace fan fires up.

You can install a duct boost fan in a half hour. Trust me, it's worth it.

I've run a 1000w light and cool tube without cooling it before and suffered no ill effect. I adjust the amount of airflow based on the target temp of the room the lights are in.

4 x 8 tent with two 1000w lights will need 700 - 800 CFM but this still raises ambient temp by 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ducting distance also plays a large part in the fan you purchase. If you're just pushing air over the light to lower its operating temp this should do it for both lights.

Just depends really. I would get the 8" with [THIS](VenTech VT SPD-CTRL VTSPEED Variable Dial Router Fan Speed Controller for Duct and Inline Fans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EVYGPJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_T765ZEGFCE2F1) controller and then get THIS duct fan and connect it to your intake. Note the duct fan here is 6", I just copied it from my Amazon orders so you might need adapters depending on what size your intake duct is.

I'm not running HPS though so other variables come into play for you. You will have to experiment once you make some purchases.

The Aerogarden grow systems are nice, but they aren't really set up for growing weed. For one thing, you would want to use supplemental lighting, even with the new, powerful lamp that comes with the Ultra. And you would probably want to get a grow tent in which to house it, with a fan and an air filter to cut down on smell during flowering. So in addition to the Ultra, you would still need to make some more purchases anyway.

I contacted Aerogrow when they came out with the Ultra, and asked if it would be a good unit for growing marijuana. They actually didn't want to answer my questions, saying they couldn't condone the use of their product for illegal purposes. I explained that I lived in a legal state, but they weren't having it. So I had to do the research online. Turns out that for weed, more photons = bigger, more potent buds. So you can grow a crop with the Aerogarden Ultra, but you would want to add more light.

I grow 2 plants at a time. I just use regular potting soil and regular fertilizer, Miracle-Gro. I have a small grow tent, and I use a Marshydro 300 lamp. In addition, I have an air filter and inline duct fan. I get seeds from Herbie's; they ship reliably and discretely.

Overall, it's a pretty cheap setup. There are coathangers and duct tape involved. I get a yield of 2 oz cured bud per plant, so that's 4 oz per crop, and I can grow 3 crops per year, so that's 12 oz per year. Plus, I convert the leaves and scrap into bubble hash, using a set of bubble hash bags. So 2 plants at a time yields more than I need for personal use. I could add a 2nd lamp and get a bigger yield, but it's not necessary for me.

Everyone makes a few mistakes on their first crop, so if you can yield 1 oz per plant, you're ahead of the game. I also recommend Jorge Cervantes' Marijuana Horticulture.

There have been a few times where I thought I was getting light burn symptoms, but I just kept moving the light closer to the top of the tent (an inch or two off the roof now)

Other than that its FoxFarms Ocean Forest soil and HyrdoOrganics nutrients. I got the whole line but don't necessarily follow their schedule, I just use things as deficiencies pop up.

I have gotten that red streak in most of the grows I have done. I think is high in phosphate? It's been a while since I have read much into it but I believe as long as the whole stem isn't red, things should be fine. I know the plant turning purple is genetic, but it also depends on temperatures. My tent gets a little cool at night so that may have something to do with it too?

Well you would need a fan with cfm that is not higher than the carbon filter rated cfms...

-(75$) Hurricane Inline Fan - 6 Inch | 435 CFM | High Performance, Commercial Grade Inline Fans - Ventilation Fan - ETL Listed https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006Z1JLY4

-(150$)Phresh Filter 6 in x 24 in 550 CFM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0032JULLY

There is many different brands. For both fans and carbon filters. Just make sure the cfms of the fan are not higher than the cfm rating on the carbon filter...also how are you gonna exhaust it out your window? It will be quite visible...you may want to buy the carbon filter in a hydroponics store...I've heard stories of getting bad/used ones from online...

If that is a 115v AC fan, you will need something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Lighthouse-Hydro-Variable-Speed-Controller/dp/B00BLOSG7I

u/snmnky9490 · 1 pointr/microgrowery

Those three seem like a pretty good start.

I'd also get an internal air circulation fan like this or this, and a fan speed controller for your main ventilation fan so it doesn't always have to be on 100% super loud full blast all day.

Are you growing in soil or hydro? Do you have your nutrients, soil or grow media, and pots or net buckets picked out already too?

u/my_age_88forshort · 1 pointr/weed

I'm confused, he told you about a carbon filter and im not for sure what your reply post is referring to. Anyways, you need a carbon filter. If you burn a candle the neigbor will now smell the candle and the weed. The carbon filter will work prefect. You don't have to run it 24/7. Just when your smoking and maybe 30 minutes afterward. Here is the carbon filter and fan combo: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0052ZPMAG/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1420334531&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70. And here is a speed controller for the fan so you don't have to have the fan on full blast: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BLOSG7I/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1420334616&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70. This will take care of all of your problems. (Amazon links are for U.S.)
You can smoke in your house and the neighbor won't smell it. Good luck and I really hope you go the carbon filter route.

Depending on the outdoor temperature where you live, you may want to reverse that airflow direction, so you're venting outside. You will need the intake airflow to be temp controlled, around 70-ish F. If you get extreme cold or heat where you live, drawing your intake from outside will give you trouble. However, with your budget, you can definitely afford a name brand carbon filter (Phresh is a good one), so you won't have to worry about smell.

There are a few ways to limit the fan noise. Some combination of: (1) a larger 6" fan, turned down with a fan speed controller, (2) a "silenced" fan, (3) insulated ducting, and/or (4) building a box around the fan to muffle the noise.

Also, you don't have to limit yourself to a dwarf autoflower with a 30x23" space. You can grow a pretty good size photoperiod plant in there, or maybe two smaller ones.

This is a pretty good light setup for that space, if you aren't scared of doing a little minor assembly (it's really easy). It can be done a little cheaper, but that's a pretty good, complete package (discount code: growmau5). Get the driver ending in 2100B and the poke-in 3500K SE chips, and add THIS dimmer. Assembly instructions are linked at the bottom of that page.

4x4 tent with 4 plants and a decent veg time and you could get about a lb or maybe a little less every 5 months.

4x4 set up is a lot less than $1000

clip fans $20 - $40 https://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Zone-Clip-Stands-anywhere/dp/B000U9V47E

You still need buckets and soil as well as seeds or clones, but the bulk of what you need is right there.

You could swap out the HID lamp for some leds easily enough. Or upgrade to slightly better quality items, but you can get started for pretty cheap if you want.

Add a second set up like this and you can go perpetual grow and harvest several times a year.

u/wildwild94 · 1 pointr/microgrowery

I understand being overwhelmed at first here, but I couldn't imagine trying to figure it out from a different language, so props to you! You can definitely build your own setup, or you could purchase a grow tent. The sizes range anywhere from 4x4x7' (or 4 feet by 4 feet wide and 7 feet tall), smaller, bigger, there's something out there for everyone. Some common lighting sizes with MH/HID (metal-halide/high intensity discharge, just different styles for different stages) bulbs are 400W, 600W, 1000W or so I've seen on here. You could also go with LED lights, but I don't know much about those. It depends on how many plants you'd like to grow and the size of your space.

As far as fans, I would get more powerful inline fans like this or this to actually move the air around if you're planning a bigger grow. If you're not too worried about a carbon filter, which it never hurts to be, maybe you could try making a DIY one with some supplies from your store and a guide from this sub?

Hope this helped, best of luck and please update us! (ps your English is actually fine and easy to understand)

You need a rheostat like this one instead. It could reduce the life of wand, though.

If I were you, I'd invest in a Doxy or something similar that has more speeds. I reviewed a Lovehoney Wand last week that would probably work well. It has no preset speeds at all. It uses a dial instead and starts on a much lower speed than a Magic Wand. It's significantly less expensive than a Doxy, too. It's not quite as powerful as the Doxy or Magic Wand but that's not going to be a problem in your situation anyway.

Some folks use their Magic Wand through their clothes to dampen it.

Finally, consider a silicone cover that will dampen the vibrations a bit. I keep this one on one of my wands. There's also this smooth style and a ribbed one.

All I can tell you is - follow the universal truth - You get what you pay for. Of course there are a few exceptions, I've found great quality products for cheap, but those gems are far and few between right?

That being said, you are on the right track. After reading reviews I ended up going with this filter and then I got this fan and so far they've been great. The speed controller is a nice touch. When it comes to carbon filters, they are mostly all the same in terms of design, so if you go with a cheaper brand to save 10 bucks I really don't think you'll be hurting yourself or your set up, but things like fans, mechanical devices, i wouldn't cheap out on.

I quite like it, but would go one size bigger if I had a static setup, mine I take in and out of the window so I kept the fan small, if it was all rigid then I would up size it.

It is very quiet, the fan on the laser is often louder than it and even when cutting MDF it pulls the smoke just fine

u/Love2grow · 1 pointr/microgrowery

It comes down to a couple factors. Carbon filters require a certain CFM to scrub air properly, if you're not pulling enough air through the filter it can not scrub the air properly.

Outside of the filter not doing its job at a lower airflow, A bigger inline fan will pull enough air from a smaller tent (4x4 or smaller) that you can achieve a negative pressure that will regulate your RH, as it will basically suck up and out any condensation that has been expired from your plants.

vivosun tent

Is this total overkill? Will it work? Ack. I don't want to have to mess with an exchange unless necessary.

u/EnigmaGrows · 1 pointr/microgrowery

An intake fan will double as an outtake fan depending on the way you face it. You can use two intake fans and use one of them to suck the hot air inside the top of the tent and blow it out of the tent with another fan to pull air from outside and blow it into your tent or you can do it how I do it.

Most tents have velcro flaps that pull up with mesh screens on them to act as air vents. If you have your tent near a wall I open the flap close to the wall that way it is shaded so I don’t have worry about light leaking through it. Then I use one intake fan inside my tent and I duct it out of the tent and out my window. All other intakes are sealed but one or two air vents that are shaded from light.

This creates a negative pressure in your tent. The hot air has no where else to go but through your fan and out of the tent and then the air from the room your tent is in is being drawn in from your passive air vent.

Almost all tents have these vents located in multiple spots for this. Ideally you will only need to buy one fan for your tent.

EDIT: something like this and some 6in ducting with a few rope clip hangers from amazon and you’re all set

Congrats on the Epilog! Great machine.

I too bought my fan from a hydroponics supplier but also look at HVAC suppliers; they typically have lower prices as HVAC guys are re sellers and need things to actually perform to their specs (unlike hydro) so they can pass code/engineering for permits.

Just remember you can only have two 90deg turns in a duct before the pressure becomes compromised to the point the specs no longer apply. Also if you can, use straight duct rather spiral as that has more resistance (most spiral duct is designed for short dryer runs where pressure isn't crucial).

I got a more basic one but this is probably what I'd buy now:

Third link is for the Allen Breathe Right:

The Allen is more aesthetically pleasing and is a complete unit that requires zero installation. Simply plug and play. This model is for 1100sqft. If you get this, get the charcoal filter. They have lots of filters.

The in-line fan and filter option will be like 10x more powerful and way more affordable than the Allen, but unpleasant to look at and is louder.

I have a T6 and a T4 with the manual speed contoller, dead quiet even at mid high speeds and it moves a ton of air. Love both of them, mine hang on bungee cords to absorb any vibrations.

The fancy controller will spin up the fan speed relative to a temperature set point and possibly humidity. Just make sure to set the fan speed to the maximum in manual mode before you set it to auto, if you dont and the fan needs to ramp up to a speed higher than the level set in manual mode it will supposedly lock out, and that was part of the reason I opted for the manual controller.

That said I did my reasearch 5-6 months back, they may have fixed the issue, and it also did not seem many people were effected by the issue, so the fix of setting the fan speed to max before setting it to auto may work.

This is the filter and this is the fan. The fan says 351 CFM but I couldn't find the rating for the filter. One person in the questions said it was 400 CFM though.

600w hps with a fan and filter. you're going to want a fan and filter regardless of the lights you use, and the 600 hps will beat those two panels at a fraction of the cost. just duct the exhausted air out of a window and you won't be running much hotter than the leds.
if you're dead-set on led, look into cobs or go with a couple cheaper panels imo. maybe a couple of these. the ones you linked are really expensive and aren't going to be enough light for that 4x4 tent.

I would stick with using a fan. The trick is you cannot just put a computer fan blowing upwards into some insulated tubing. Think of blowing into a 12' pipe with a cap on the end; the air needs somewhere to go or it will not flow. You need to use a centrifugal fan (like this) in your keezer and figure out a way to attach it to smaller tubing (probably 1"ish in diameter) and run the tubing up to your beer tower in the kitchen. This way the cold air is blowing out at the top of your beer lines and will circulate back down into the keezer. If you try this with a normal computer fan it will not work; they are very low pressure but high cfm. Since your fan will be acting more like an air pump than a fan it needs to be a powerful centrifugal fan (higher pressure) or their will not be enough air pressure to travel through a 12' tube.

This Hydrofarm Active Air is the one you want. No bells. No whistles. Super well-built.
