Ich schreib erotische Geschichten für Kindle. Ist auch zu einem guten Teil von bestimmten Subreddits inspiriert.

Meine Herangehensweise ist momentan noch sehr laienhaft und unausgegoren. Hab das geschrieben und dann einfach mal dort veröffentlicht.

Am schwierigsten ist natürlich das Schreiben. Die Formatierung und das Publishing sind kinderleicht bei KDP (Kindle direct Publishing). Schwieriger ist es da schon Käufer zu finden.

Ich glaube mit Erotik kann man schon ganz gut verkaufen. Meine beiden Bücher haben sich jetzt knapp 100 Mal verkauft, obwohl ich eigentlich so gut wie keine Werbung gemacht habe (außer hier jetzt gerade! Ich hoffe da regt sich jetzt keiner auf, dass ich das verlinkt habe, OP hat ja gefragt). Das war eigentlich nur mal ein Test, ob jemand Geld für etwas bezahlen würde, was ich geschrieben habe.

Den Stundenlohn möchte ich jetzt aber lieber nicht ausrechnen ;)

Falls Du Erotik schreiben willst, gibt es auch /r/eroticauthors als Ressource.

Falls du irgendwas seriöses schreiben willst, dürftest Du es schwerer haben. So wie man liest und hört, gehen Lyrik und Kurzgeschichten zB überhaupt nicht gut. Ein Fantasy oder Sci-Fi Roman könnte aber was bringen, wenn er gut geschrieben ist. Oder Liebesromane. Die gehen wohl auch ganz gut.

Wenn du einen großen Gesellschaftsroman rausbringen willst, hast du mit einem Verlag wahrscheinlich bessere Chancen Leser zu erreichen.

Werbung ist jedenfalls das A und O beim Selfpublishing. Du kannst nur verkaufen, wenn Leute wissen, dass es dich gibt. Sei aktiv auf social Media (Twitter, Goodreads usw.), schreib Rezensionen, ein Blog einen Newsletter etc. etc. Und auf Social Media nicht nur schreiben "mein neuer Roman ist erschienen", sondern mit Leuten interagieren, spannende Texte schreiben, lesenswerten Content produzieren, damit dir Leute folgen usw.

Das ist alles richtig Arbeit. Bisher haben mich meine Verkaufszahlen noch nicht dazu bewogen, das Ganze so richtig ernstzunehmen (wobei das sich beides natürlich wechselseitig bedingt, also Umsatz kommt auch nur, wenn man Werbung macht).

My move 'clever' title is probably 'Two Priests One Nun' because of the obvious connection to Two Girls One Cup. It's not a scat book, but the title sums the story up pretty well. Two priests DP one nun :P

Title: Not bad, not good.

Cover: I don't like it. The picture looks like an ad for someone with chronic back pain. The overall red tint is off-putting. The fonts don't work.

Blurb - Short, sweet, hot, and to the point. Nice!

Look Inside - Solid writing, with a few awkward areas. "A noise broke the peace." just doesn't sound correct to me. And shouldn't she be going out to confront the noisemaker, not the noise?
