Found the lower quality version on Amazon for less than $300..
I found a bunch of inexpensive midcentury-modern style stuff for you. I hope you like it.

Even if you don't like the stuff I picked out, hopefully I gave you some places to get started. In addition to the stuff I showed you, I highly recommend you get some things that will add life and color to your room; namely, plants, wall art, and a rug.
The wood on the stuff I showed you matches your kitchen cabinets (from what I can tell), so your place will have a uniform feel. However, as I mentioned, it's the little things like plants that will really make your place shine!
We carved jack-o-lantern faces into our baked apples! Really cute.
Last weigh-in: 124.8lbs.
Yesterday was a planned out cheat day. Fast food in the morning, normal lunch, Chinese buffet with buddies for dinner. That weigh in number has definitely changed, but it was worth it to spend a couple of hours with friends. ❤ I definitely ate until uncomfortably full, BUT it was only a fraction of what I used to wolf down, so I consider it a win.
We finally got our new dining room set! The old table that I sanded and stained is now our terrarium stand. Our new baby is counter height, with really comfortable seats.

I officially my promotion at work! I'll be the trainer for new hires, which is a position I've wanted for over a year. There was an alternate route I could have gone to be on the safety team -- with more pay -- but I decided to stick with the social option since it will bring me joy on a daily basis.
Oh, and I beat my fiance in arm wrestling. I know how to seduce a man.

I like this one better, no glass top to suddenly break and the chairs have a solid back. https://www.amazon.com/Best-Choice-Products-Kitchen-Dinette/dp/B079M9M2PD/ref=sr_1_5?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1519951396&sr=1-5&keywords=dining%2Bset&th=1

I don't see any problem with a round table (especially a drop-leaf), but if you want something narrow so that you can pass between the table and the couch, you might want to look for a rectangle shaped table. Are you looking for something lower or higher?
You could go for a simple drop-leaf or mid-century (one, two) bistro table or something more modern, like a pub table (one, two, three). Either way, I'd encourage you to mix & match chairs to suit your style and comfort level, since sometimes dining sets can look a bit dated or cheap.
Another tip for your plant fantasies I've suggested to others before - add a shelf or two across the window for some extra storage/light. Maybe hang some around the window as well.
Here you go
Try looking at breakfast tables.

Actually thinking of something more like
https://www.amazon.com/Abington-Lane-Kitchen-Table-Set/dp/B07BSP5K3B/ref=sr_1_8?crid=NBJ20GZ488GP&keywords=kitchen+table+with+stools&qid=1555556356&s=gateway&sprefix=Kitchen+table+with+stools%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-8
My big question is can I mix lighter furniture with what I have. Or do you think I should trade out the bedroom dresser and tv stand for white furniture?
There is room for a small stand under the window, but I was going to put something like this, or this, or this.
I like the idea of having stool storage, so I can just whip them out when I want to have breakfast in the kitchen.

My brain has trouble planning past the essentials. I'm kind of a meat and potatoes guy unless it's electronics. Planning for the decorations or accents is where I'm clueless on price/quantity.
Dining room table I was thinking something simple like this?https://www.amazon.com/Espresso-Leather-Person-Chairs-Dinette/dp/B00UKXVNSU/ref=sr_1_21?s=furniture&ie=UTF8&qid=1473444909&sr=1-21&keywords=dining+table
Since you mentioned a small place, instead of a large table, maybe try a pub top table? One like this or like this?
I have one in my tiny place, and it's been great.
