Filling station gas would work, it's what the Austrian soldiers would of used and I'm sure a lot of American soldiers would of in their Zippos too. However you can buy this stuff - http://www.amazon.co.uk/TIN-ZIPPO-FLUID-125ML-ONLY/dp/B000F37YKQ - which burns a lot cleaner, actual petrol gives off a lot of black smoke and soot when used in these lighters, you can buy tins of the fuel anywhere that sells Zippos, or other smoking paraphernalia.

They are simple to refill, there is a cap on the bottom which when removed gives access to a chamber full of cotton wool, you just squirt the fuel on the cotton wool until saturated, replace cap, and you're away.

You can buy smaller amounts as Zippo lighter fluid which is the same thing

I heard Belize is nice this time of year. [This] (https://www.amazon.com/Zippo-Lighter-Fluid/dp/B01BIOFMHW) should help

You're too generous!
You've gifted me once already yesterday, but this kind of accompanies that gift well. Stay cool! :)

Not sure where you're buying it, but Amazon has it for <$7 for 12 ounces... still more expensive than "naptha" in bulk, but you really don't want to try to pour naptha into a zippo lighter without a small squeeze spout... so it's really not that bad for the packaging you get.

Thanks, is there any specific type of cotton or am I just fine with Walmart brand cotton balls? Sorry, just generally like my hands and am paranoid about damaging them. Also is this a good kit? You are correct that the second mass was the foam block. Thanks in advance!
