You can buy a really good leather reclining sectional starting at around $4k on each side of the sectional for an L-shape sectional. And that's for power recline with top grain leather where you sit and PU on the sides and back. Anything lower than that for similar items, the sectional is either on clearance or the manufacturer has cut some corners on the material.

Power recline+headrest on each side of an L-shape sectional can go to 4.5k~5k with console.

10k to 13k are definitely made in USA, branded products prices and most likely top grain leather all over. You're paying for a luxury product with that luxury price tag.

Leggett and Platt reclining mechanism is great. They are well known for their quality. Call these retailers and ask what mechanisms they use, if they use Leggett and Platt then you're off to a good start. Okin electric motors is great, you won't hear the reclining noise.

Here is what I offer on Amazon, you can follow my bullet points and description as a buying guide.

Depending on where you live, I would shop locally. Look for local furniture stores with 4.5+ star google reviews, they usually have good stuff.

If you are spending over $7k on a reclining sectional, you better be getting power recline, headrest, lumbar, 100% leather all over with console. I can custom make you a fully decked out 100% leather reclining sectional for less, all day long.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, here's just a quick link below. Went through two already, one just form a couple seasons of camping and the other friend destroyed during last camping trip. Usually got them for around $20.

Definitive Man Cave Items:

  • Large TV. This tends to be the centerpiece of any good man cave, so you can't skimp on this. One good option is to get a high end projector since they're about as expensive as a mid-range LED TV but can cover a large portion of a wall. This is only really an option if you have the proper layout i.e. good area for a wall or projector screen.
  • Surround sound to match the TV. This is about as essential to a man cave as candy is to a pedophile's plan.
  • Appropriate seating area. In my opinion two good swiveling reclinable chairs are great plus a deep sectional couch
  • Appropriate gaming system(s) for the TV/projector, including sizeable library of games/movies. A DVR is a very good investment if you can't always watch all your sports games. Internet is a must for those gaming systems too.
  • Some sort of non-video gaming area. This can be filled by a foosball, poker, ping pong, or pool table, depending on what you, your family, and your friends like. Remember though, this is mostly about you, as this is your man cave.
  • Some sort of bar area. Get a mini fridge that can hold mixers, beer, and liquors that can be chilled (vodka). Be sure to get all the necessary glassware and mixing utensils. Maybe even a small book on classic cocktails if you and your buddies are into that. Try and get bar stools and a high table for the bar area.
  • In the same bar area, try and get a microwave and a few microwaveable snacks. Not having to leave your man cave for food is great.
  • Get some sort of decor for the place, don't let it be bare bones. Make it feel like home away from home. Try movie posters, neon bar signs, or big prints of natural scenery, it's entirely up to you up to you.
  • If you play music, get your gear in there!
  • If you're really lucky, this area can be attached to the garage so you can put all of your tools there. Depends on the kind of person you are. I consider myself a handy man so I like to have a shop-type area where I can do man things and make man things while saying man things.
  • Additionally, some sort of sliding door to a grassy flat area is great for any number of things. If you are into footy, you can kick a soccer ball around, if you have friends that smoke (tobacco or otherwise) they can take a quick step outside.
  • Finally, land mines. Keeps the wife and kids out. Put them all around the entrance and walls. It'll also keep them from finding the clown costume that would reveal that you're the masturbating clown that's been terrorizing your little suburb.

  13. The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why? We currently have a similar set, but two of the springs have fallen out under my seat, and the back cushion covering is pulling apart. This would be to replace those. (Nice things I don't need right now)

Sorry for being late, this took me lots of hours to make. Didn't get to finish it last night, so continued today.

Note: I only did this for fun, I am not an amazing expert in terms of interior design.

---

I used Google's SketchUp, which is a free 3D rendering . I haven't used this in a long time and also couldn't find the installation file to run this. So instead, I used the browser version. Which worked very well, but I couldn't find props, so I hand made everything.
Yes, the bloody plants were a disaster! I also went a bit crazy on my own picasso. Deal with it!

  • 3D render pictures:
  • Picture 1
  • Picture 2
  • Picture 3

  • Size reference list:
  • Couch, TV table, TV, Coffee table, Bookshelf
  • Chair, Small round table, Slim side table, Plant (lol)

    ---

Overall, I am not too sure about the fireplace. It feels a bit too cramped, but I had it further away from the fireplace which made it a bit awkward in terms of the couch.
I do really like the couch, but maybe instead of the coffee table, get either a smaller one or not one at all. You could consider a small TV stand and wall mount the TV instead.

Anyway, if you have any question. Don't hesitate to ask!

Something like this is ideal. Lots of room to lounge around, plenty of spots to cuddle. Some of the sections, I'm sure, can be replaced with small armrests. My dad had a sweet home theater when I was in high school, and the couch was a lot like this one.

My highest priority item on my apartment list is this couch because I'm moving into my own place soon and don't currently have a place to sit....so yeah....thats....thats an issue.

My highest priority item on my painting list is this book because I really enjoy oil painting and want to learn how to get better at it!

My highest priority item on my hobbies list is Skyrim because my boyfriend really loves The Elder Scrolls and I think he would really love this as a moving in gift.

My higest priority item on my cats list is this cat scratcher because my current one is falling apart and I feel awful about it D:

My highest priority item on my college list is this MCAT review set because I'm hoping to get into medical school and really could use this to study!

My highest priority item on my Owls list is this set of salt and pepper shakers because like I said earlier, I have literally nothing for the apartment, plus owls are my favorite and I really love this!

My highest priority item on my Makeup list is this palette because I really love the colors and everyone keeps gushing over how amazing it is!

Finally, my higest priority item on my Add-On list is cat odor eliminator because let's face it, my cats stink.

Thanks for this fun 'discussion'

Hellllllllllpppppp

I've always struggled to find a sectional I like and now I found one I LOVE but it only comes in 2 shades of grey and I don't know how it will look with the tables I've picked out and the general colour scheme of rich jewel tones (which I have picked)

I haven't gotten any of the things I'm linking yet and won't be for a while (because dreams are expensive) but can someone see if they can picture these today with jewel tones blankets and pillows (rich burgundies, deep purple, royal blues, etc)

Light Sofa

Dark Sofa

Hey. Just wanted to give you a quick guide on hyperlinking

This is your link

If you put [square brackets] around the text you want followerd by the link in (regular brackets). Looks like the below without the !!! in them.

The reds a bit much. If you can design the room so it's not so bright then I guess that's fine. I vote for white on black.
