I got these

They are self sealing and they have a suffocation warning and everything - I’ve had people leave notes saying they didn’t realize it was still in manufacturer packaging. That’s how professional they make my orders look!

I use these bags and store in plastic bins. Maybe it's not the bags, but the basement?

One thing that I've found that works well, as an alternative to confiscating phones (copied from another thread I posted this in). I've been using this for 2 years, and it works well.

1st offence in a period is a warning, "Put it away".

2nd one, it goes in one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Owlpack-Security-Envelopes-Shipping-Packaging/dp/B075JRRQD5/

I walk over, write the student's name on the bag in sharpie, have them put their phone in, and we seal it. The bag stays on the student's desk, so I don't have to worry about being responsible for the phone, and they are happy because it doesn't leave their posession.

My rule is any arguing, or if the bag is opened prior to the end of the hour, at that point it becomes an automatic referral / detention. They are free to open the bag at the end of the hour, with no further consequences.

Admin is 100% on board, because it reduces liability of me holding the phone / something happening, and because if they open or argue, it's clear cut insubordination.

This is my go-to.

Whoever does your printing for your existing menu can do it or to make it cheaper and easier use your existing menus and put them in doorknob bags (linked below) or just use a hole punch to make a hole in the corner and attach a rubber band so you can put it on the door.

If you're in an area with foot traffic you can also spend some time outside just saying hi to people and handing them a menu. There's a lot you can do for very low cost advertising if you put your mind to it and as long as the restaurant is clean and they're making good food there's no reason the restaurant won't be a success with a bit of marketing effort.
