This is the cart I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006OHKVXE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You have to put it together yourself and its pretty simple to put together but it's definitely not the strongest cart in the world. If you fully load it like I have you will be wary of using it as a rolling cart, the whole thing is held together by 6 screws so expect a lot of swaying.

my ex-wife had bad acne. One thing that really helped was a facial spray made of:

  • 1/2 cup of distilled water
  • 4 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • 1 tsp witch hazel
  • 4-ounce glass spray bottle

She'd spray once at night and once in the morning.

She tried the medication, pro-activ and almost everything else on the market. For her, this did the trick.

For the pillow case thing, I'd get a pack of huck towels and put those on top of your pillow case. Use a new one each night.

Have you considered a stair chair? I used to volunteer for a rescue squad and we frequently used them.

All of this sounds promising. Your family's approach to his care is definitely a factor, and while it's incredibly frustrating for you, my main concern is that you don't internalize and repeat the behavior. There are better approaches that can improve quality of life, but if your parents aren't seeking them out (or worse, pretending the problem doesn't exist), then there isn't that much you can do. Please don't see this as a window into your future. There is a certain amount of autonomy into your trajectory through life; hold onto it and learn from other's mistakes. I'm sorry about the decisions your dad is making; you could try to talk to him about the effect it has on you.

A few comments:

  1. I'd definitely suggest checking out some anxiety meds (benzodiazepines). I wouldn't recommend them as a daily solution for anyone young since they're addictive, but since your grandfather is 99, I think it'll be okay :)

  2. Videos on a loop - especially things like Chinese movies or shows from the 1950s or 1960s could be really fantastic. Definitely comforting. Great idea.

Check out geri-chairs. They're like recliners on wheels, so that you can wheel your grandfather around and he can be in the room with you guys: https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Medical-Position-Chair-Recliner/dp/B002VWK2EE/. They also sell additional comfort cushions for extra support: https://www.amazon.com/Geri-Chair-Comfort-Seat-Cushion-Color/dp/B005DLJBK6/. I could understand why he wouldn't want to be alone in his room especially if he was refusing all forms of entertainment (music/tv/movies/podcasts/books on tap/etc).

I think there are quite a few potential paths forward - hopefully we find one that makes things easier for you.

Generally, they'd use an evacuation chair.

Although, if a building doesn't have them or nobody knows how to use them, then they get assisted by other people evacuating or emergency personnel will enter to assist them if they can.

This is also why many offices tell people with some kind of handicap which affects their ability to move around to inform a designated employee. That employee is generally the one that's responsible for maintaining a list of where those people would be located to give to emergency responders.

Then you need to talk to someone who wants to sue a public pool.

This isn't a criminal matter where you can call the cops and report chlorine issues.

If you are in NYC you can report it to NYC pools by calling 311. If you are outside NYC you can google who is responsible for the pool in your city or country and file a complaint.

> Completely destroyed, non functional lifeguard buoy never getting replaced for years

One of these?

>absent backboard for spinal injuries

They don't have a backboard like this?

>non-tainted windows causing severe water surface glare during the day

I have nothing that can fix surface glare of sunshine on water.

You can tint them but tainting them is a completely different topic.

>disgusting skimmer pots that have never been cleaned

OK

>I could go on.

Have you done anything to help the situation or do you just want to sue for damages you don't have?

There are companies and non-profits that need help and volunteers and feedback everywhere. Have you brought this up to anyone? Did you ask what you can do? Or do you want to get money because they failed?

Buy them here!

would this work? You could even cut holes in it to fasion it into something like this if needed.

I think the problem is that most stretchers that are portable are going to most likely require two people to move an immobilized person or animal. The majority of emergency medical equipment that someone can use to transport an injured person or pet generally isn't made to be carried around on your person. :[

u/rayofsunshine20 · 1 pointr/legaladvice

here's an example of a very basic one.

They also make some that attach to wheelchairs so the person can stay in it on the way down.

There are evacuation chairs that are designed to carry handicapped people down stairs.

I use this: ECR4Kids 6-Drawer Mobile Organizer, Smoke https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005JCZHHK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_j2wNwSdqawrSj I keep my kratom either in its original Mylar or use Tupperware if the bags break. The cart is great because it rolls around and I can organize. I need to buy another because I can't fit anymore kratom lol.

you should upgrade to the 20-drawer

First of all, get some huck towels They are the absolute best thing for cleaning glass. The proper method is to use two towels. Both need to be damp. Wet them both and wring them out thoroughly and then fold into squares. Spray your window with the glass cleaner of your choice. Isopropyl or vinegar based is fine. Take your first towel and hit the perimeter of your glass surface first, then vigorously rub the rest of the glass down. Keep your towel flat and don't let it bunch up. You want to use your full palm. Immediately come behind with your second towel and polish out any streaks. Perfect windows every time.
